They refuse to pick up my POD so that they can continue to charge me for it. Customer service and the supervisors calim they have called and emailed the avanel warehouse and no one has answered them. They keep creating tickets. In the mean time the pod sits in the driveway and I continue to get charged for it. Check out all the Google reveiws and yelp before you contract with them!!! read more

5/20/26. This company destroyed my driveway. Their truck spewed hydraulic fluid all up and down my 100' long driveway. The damage is extensive as the hydraulic fluid eats the asphalt. I took many photos and had three local established pavers submit their professional opinion, which is, the driveway should be replaced. Mind you, the driveway was replaced 2 years ago and was immaculate. The POD people are unresponsive, and offered $300, while "admitting no culpability". Nor will they give up their business liability insurance information. I am considering various legal paths. read more

Hopeless customer service!!!! Ordered a 16 foot container. The pod was delivered on time. But door was a little hard to open and binding. Anyways we managed to load almost 90%. Closed the door to take a break. When we tried to open the door it would not open fully - only opens up to 3 feet. We tried pushing up to no use. Looked inside to see if anything was touching or blocking the door. But nothing was seen. Called PODs and filed a complaint. They said they will sent someone to check the door. A driver came the 3rd day after 4 calls. Had to explain the whole story every time. Seems they do not keep a note of the complaint call. Anyways, when he tried opening, it would not open more that 4 inches. asked me to contact PODs. I called again. explained the story again. THIS COMPANY GETS A BIG ZERO!!! This is my response from PODS corporate office five days later. The quality of service is a complete nightmare. We asked that this POD be removed and now they are coming to reposition it!!! If we canceled the POD we have to pay. I will take this as far as I have too, but someone on the top will hear me! I'm so disgusted with this company. LOWES has the same container to rent with no aggravation or stress. Thank you for your response. You have reached the corporate office. Moving process was simple and easy EXCEPT I was suddenly overcharged, was not given any notice of this "charge". I contacted customer service who agreed that I was overcharged and placed a ticket. It's been over a month with no response or resolution. I've called countless times and there has been no movement to get my money back. Very unhappy I'm being scammed nearly $1000. read more

My house closing is on the 7th I am totally screwed. Called customer service (somewhere in India)and George, was less than helpful. WOULD NOT ACCOMMODATE AT ALL!!!! Totally useless. Beware! PODS falsely advertising that customer doesn't need to be present for drop off. PODS also does not give instructions in entirety. PODS was made aware multiple times before delivery date that drop off would be street side and customer had already obtained local city permit for POD. Never once during any phone calls was I instructed to have a copy of permit on hand for driver. On day of delivery, dispatcher reached out to driver several times throughout day for updated delivery time. An hour before delivery, driver calls to demand copy of local city permit otherwise POD would not be delivered. Thankfully, POD was scheduled for afternoon delivery and I was able to go to Staples to make copy otherwise, POD wouldn't have been delivered on date of signed contract. read more

In July 2023 I called pods, no one ever informed me that I had to call back, I only made the deal for one month, 7 months have passed, and pods have been abusively charging me month by month without my authority, nor have they called, please be careful with that company, they have incompetent people. read more

Great all around , alot i can say from Beginning to end but to point out the best part of the move, the drop off driver Sam and the pick up Driver Michael are who i would like to say where the best part of my Experience , made operating complicated machinery look easy and interesting to watch , they had no problems Accommodating my very complicated instructions and request for the placement , thanks to the whole pods team big thanks to the driver/machine Operators michael and sam for being so friendly and Professional, will need storage again for a basement project sometime in the future , i will without a doubt be using them again read more

Don't Trust Your Move To PODS in Avenel, NJ We arranged over a month in advance for a 16 foot POD to be delivered for our move. We also arranged for a crew from a different company (not PODS recommended) to load the POD the day after delivery, with pickup the following day, prior to the sale of our house. On the day of scheduled delivery, we received and email (not a phone call) that a unit was not available and was rescheduled for 3 days later, with pickup several days after our scheduled closing. This was crazy and would have been a nightmare to manage, except that a local mover stepped in with virtually no prior notification to manage our move on the day originally scheduled. How ridiculous, with everything involved in a move (personnel, equipment, and storage facilities) is it to think that PODS could reschedule at their convenience. Thanks to some local businesses for picking up the ball that PODS dropped. Don't risk your move or your peace of mind by using this uncaring company. read more
