UPDATE: Finally spoke to a human. Their solution? To schedule delivery next Saturday, July 17. One entire week late. My pod is being held hostage!! Do not use them! I don't know what happened since the last time we used them, but this time has been a disaster. Scheduled the pod to be delivered on a Saturday, lined up movers for Sunday to unpack. Time for delivery on Saturday kept moving to later in the day until finally it was cancelled. With no delivery until Monday it left us scrambling at 7:00 pm in a Saturday night to cancel everything. No estimate on a delivery time for Monday, the website shows it was delivered and there are no humans to ask when it will be delivered. At this point I don't know where the pod even is as the driver was on his way and cancelled. Poor customer service on the website since my reality doesn't match their records. read more

if I could rate a ZERO I would. conformation emails sent confirming pick up and deliver. drop off was 2 hours outside of the estimated window. then pick up was 5.5 hours late again. when I called I was told that the delivery date to our final move was 24 hours later then what was agreed upon and confirmed. Then I was told that the pod would be picked up the very next day of delivery from our final destination and no one could give me an estimated time frame for the new delivery date. Esentually, the pod could be delivered at midnight expecting us to unload it at that time and could be picked up as early at 7 am the very next day. not good. I hired people to unload on the specific day that was arranged and that was later confirmed on 2 occasions. how can anyone plan for help if unprofessional people at pods can't follow through with a simple scheduling task. maybe pods hire workers that can't get real jobs and are obviously uneducated. we can't reschedule our pod pick up because our housing committee only allows pods on site for 48 hours and my husband and I are in the service and we have to deploy 48 hours after our deliver. find another way of moving you're things. Unfortunately dealing with pods has been a far less than satisfactory experience for me as my pod is still sitting in the state where it was supposed to be coming from and upon calling them to make sure of the delivery date and location they informed me of this, after having already billed me. To top it off it's going to cost me even more so than my original quote and what they already charged me it's quite frustrating when I was told I had scheduled my service and everything was supposed to be one way and then I find out today that it hasn't even shipped yet. I personally never changed the shipment or delivery date, they took it upon themselves to do so and didn't even bother to contact me and let me know that adjustments had been made. The way that they schedule their billing is less than satisfactory as well, because they want to charge you as each thing happens, ie: the Pod getting dropped off, picked up, transported, and then delivered. I feel that that is their way of screwing the price up on people or charging them more than they think they're going to get charged, because so far that's been my experience, especially considering they already charged me for transportation and my pod is still in a different state. The only good thing I have to say is that Joseph picked up the Pod for me, he was great very professional very kind. And all I see that's the only good thing I have to say about this company and I would never recommend them to anybody ever. Their service could be so much more upfront and clear-cut and done right but it's not unfortunately. And it's really quite disappointing because I had hoped to use them in the future but I would rather move everything one truck load at a time then use them again. read more

My wife and I are retired and were planning a move to Fresno from Los Banos CA. Everything was going fine until the night before closing on the sale of our LB home, the buyers backed out. We had already moved all our belongings via Pods in Fresno and were staying at an Air BnB. We were really stuck. Fortunately, we found the manager of the Fresno unit, Gabriel Garcia and let me just say that this gentleman when above and beyond our expectations and helped us get a few things from our pod in order to return home. This man was so kind and so considerate. We were literally at our wits end and he could see that we were in a real jam. DONT USE THIS COMPANY! They picked up our PODS in CA and told us they would be delivered to our new address in NC on AUG 15. On that day they never showed up. I had to call them to find out that my PODS were still in CA and I wouldn't be getting them until AUG 28. I was without my belongings for another 2 weeks. They wanted me to sign a non-disclosure agreement for compensation for this so I couldn't talk about how incompetent they are. I did not sign it and this is my assessment of their service. While I would never tell anyone not to use #PODS Moving & Storage, I would say our experience was less than satisfactory. The POD unit was smaller than advertised, and there was an issue with our contract that was not addressed until AFTER they took our belongings away, resulting in a delivery delay. We recently used U-Haul's U-Box service for a second move, and while the cost is comparable, the experience was much better. The large cross country pods are nice and clean with heavy duty plastic floors and there are numerous d rings all over for tying things in. My biggest complaint is that I have been repeatedly told my drop off and pick up times will be available after 6 pm the night before and they weren't posted till nearly 1 am the day they were scheduled. When I have to make arrangements based on these times this is completely unprofessional. The delivery drivers were nice guys See you can respond and say that you communicated after 6 but that's a flat out lie. My pod was suppose to be delivered June 21 with a 3 hr window in the afternoon, kept calling and corporate kept saying it was in its way. Never showed up that day no calls. Tuesday the 21 I call they said it is now rescheduled for the 23 of June in the afternoon with a 3 hr window. I'm moving to NC and have to be out of house by the 24. Company did not care how many times I called and explained. Just they are sorry. Their fucking job is to drop pods not build rockets! Ordered 2 Pods 12 weeks ago, then plans changed so canceled both 8 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago they placed a pod in my driveway (unauthorized and not ordered). Daily phone calls to service center, I spend an average of an hour a day on hold with this company. Saturday they said it's in the schedule for Monday. I even asked God to make sure it happens. It's 8pm Monday night Pod is still blocking my garage access. I wasn't pushy about it until the weather turned and now it's cold and I'm really angry every time I'm scraping ice off my windshield which SHOULD be parked in my garage. This is unacceptable and I'm thinking criminal negligence perhaps at this point. I heard rumors they have too many with nowhere to store so they dump them and leave them at unauthorized locations. I didn't believe it, but it's definitely gaining credence. Get this Pod off my property! I have 2 confirmation numbers from CRT dept but ZERO RESOLUTION. Get this off my property immediately! What do I need to do. My next option is impounding it and hiring an attorney but I don't want more hassle. I WANT IT GONE. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE business. My mom did everything right..scheduled her pickup and delivery date. Pod was not picked up on scheduled date with zero communication from the company. We only knew it wasn't picked up because we called to follow up. Every representative we spoke with were completely useless. Now the company is telling her she has a delivery delay of one week and she may have to pay more storage fees for something that wasn't even her fault! Absolutely Infuriating. I want to warn anyone who purchases the contents insurance on a pod container. Please read ALL the available information they provide. Burglary, is only covered if the container is on their property or as they put it"in their care". If you think that your payment of ? Is going to cover the contents of your broken into pods container, where everything has been stolen. Forget it. Better have it on your property and make sure your homeowners insurance policy will cover the contents if someone breaks the pods suggested lock and steals the contents. They take 2 weeks to get your POD to you, then when you've booked movers and have everything scheduled based on the date PODS TELLS YOU, they say there is some B.S. delay and they shrug their shoulders leaving you to deal with their incompetence. On the day my pod was delivered , their driver was extremely unprofessional , and it only got worse from there . The company was dishonest with me about the date of delivery to our new home , and made us wait for 11 days with an empty container in our driveway . In the advertisement , the Pods company quotes , " get your pod when you need it , and we will pick it up when you are done with it ". Well that is a lie , as the company changed dates on me a couple of times , forcing me to bring people in from 2 hours away to help unload . THEY WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE. worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life thus far. got a container delivered on time and scheduled for pick up, called the day before to confirm but PODS some how changed my order and gave me a new order to have another pod delivered 1 week after I already got one. they couldn't figure out what went wrong and what happened, couldn't find the pod number I gave them, no records of it, the new order is the same exact order number of my initial order number, nothing made sense. called 4 different times and had to speak to 4 different people, explain to all 4 different persons what the deal is and they all made promises to figure it out but everytime I speak to a new customer service rep all they could do is email the local office as urgent to pick up asap and when I asked to speak to the manager, they told me I couldn't and the manager already told them what to do. their email confirmations are useless, it only tells you check your account on line and what you see on line, you can't even do anything so you have to call and speak a different rep every single time. they even charged me for the new order and an additional same day delivery when i didn't place that new order nor did I get same day delivery. worst company ever!!! drove to the local office and met with the manager asking them to pick up and they did what we needed. they were able to look up my pod order without issues. thankful and appreciated the local office's service. picked up the container within an hour! the call center is useless!!! read more

I'm torn (I'm in the process of my move). The concept is ,very good. I like that container is ground level and you can easy access and out. Delivery drivers were amazing out of Fresno. However, I was up sales into a second container that I didn't need. The way it was presented I didn't think I would get charged if I didn't use the container. However,come to find out I would be charged for the container. When I called to have it picked up they said they wouldn't be able to get until several days later but I would be charged for the container like I was using it for storage. Not even prorated. I will see how the rest of this transaction goes. read more

If you go online to fill out a quote they don't tell you what the fees are for moving and picking up the pod. $450 for one pod to be moved 15 miles for two weeks is a rip off!! PODS was awesome. They bailed me out of a tight spot. I was moving out of state from Fresno and they delivered and picked up the container the same day even though it's not their normal procedure, just to help me out as I was on a very tight schedule. This is a review of POD's in general - DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE if you have any other options. I booked our flights (3 weeks ago) from CA to OR , to receive my pod delivery(in OR) next Tues. I scheduled the delivery of this POD, weeks ago. Yesterday , I called to be sure it would be delivered on time, (I did this because I just read multiple reviews about how BAD their service is) they told me it was in transit. Today, I called again (because of the reviews) and they tell me IT WON"T BE DELIVERED until WED! and there is NOTHING they can do and I should feel lucky they can even deliver it that day, because they are so booked!! the representative Even suggested I change my flight (of course airlines won't and can't do that at this point, as all flights are sold out!! - not to mention the expense of changing flights , if it were possible). Insult to injury....I am paying over $2,000 to have it delivered and the entire monthly charge of $327.00 for the month of June -- no prorating. My stuff has been in the POD in CA for 5 years and every year they increase my monthly payments - which is now over $200 a month. The $327, that they are charging me is OR rates and it will only be in OR the day of delivery (if I'm lucky). The only reason I am going to OR is to take delivery and unload this POD. If I could take an AD out, I would to warn everyone not to use them. I tried to post this review on their website and of course , I couldn't - on their website only good reviews were listed. It was on Google that I found MULTIPLE horrible reviews of this company. Sadly, I must confirm them and add my name to the group of frustrated victims. read more
