Phenomenal work these guys do, we had a little mishap where we had a very similar toolbag and it was accidentally taken by one of the employees. It wasn't a huge deal they contacted me right away and offered to drop it off the next morning. It happens, moving can be chaotic. They quoted me 3 hours and they stuck to those 3 hours. They were so quick and efficient and super careful with my furniture and my things. They were cheaper than most of the other companies that I reached out too and they were a lot more kind and straight forward with quoting. They're local to the central valley so I try to stick with local vendors. Another thing to mention is that they are a smaller company, so getting to talk to someone is very quick, it is easy to book with them and it is easy to work with them in general. Hopefully I don't have to move again but I strongly recommend them read more

It started where I was told to call after contacting through Yelp. I called and then they said someone would call me back later because they were not in the office. It was the next day when they finally reached out. I spoke with Donna who gave me a quote of up to 5 hours, which previous moves never took longer than that, and quoted me what up to 5 hours would cost. Before the move I called and requested 4 garment boxes which they said would add to my file and bring on moving day. On moving day they did not bring the garment boxes and had to use several of my boxes and they shoved my clothes in the boxes causing my nice pressed clothes that come from dry cleaners to become wrinkled and needing to repress. Moving day came and they were on time. Apparently there was a new person and then during my move an office staff person showed up for about 30 minutes to watch them move my stuff. The new guy was not sure on certain things so it slowed them down a little. We went to my storage after that which took them about 45 minutes to get there. Should not have taken more than 30 minutes. It took me only 18 minutes from first stop. Again moving stuff out of storage the new guy was slow. When moving stuff out they dropped my grandmothers box of silverware and damaged the box a little. They just kind of threw the silverware back in there and put it in the truck. Once we got to final destination there was a lot of double handling of stuff which again added time. During the move they damaged the frame to my extra room closet and because of the time, I just told them to store all the boxes in one room. It ended up being 6.5 hours and almost 300.00 dollars over the price quoted. They said they were going to put my table together, but because I knew they were over a lot of time and I was already frustrated by this time because of the carelessness and the slowness of the move I said forget it I will do it. When I reached out to the company after the move they were slow to respond and I told them all the stuff that happened. After some time they responded that they would send me a 300.00 voucher for future services. I declined the offer stating I will not be using their company again. I then just requested at least a refund of an hour for all the trouble and the slow worker. They again waited to respond and I kept reaching out. They responded that they would give me 25.00 Visa card for the damaged box and I just needed to send pictures. The professionalism of this company is a disgrace and I would not recommend them to anyone. They disregarded all the issues that I endured. Please do not use this company. read more

I put moving from Fresno to Stockton as a last-minute project on Yelp (my moving was cancelled and then needed at the last minute), and DW Ewing replied back quickly. Their estimate was tied for cheapest, but they were willing to work with me getting things moved the next day. They kept communications open and arrived when they said. They plastic-wrapped a few items and were careful getting them out. One man arranged the truck while two young men did most of the moving. They took about an hour to move all my stuff out from a few different rooms, and managed the heavy sofa bed easily. They arrived not long after I did at my new place and unloaded quickly. They asked for pics in case we move again. Overall very satisfied. read more

We wanted to buy two new sofas from Costco, but the store doesn't offer delivery and Costco Online was sold out of the models we wanted. Then there was the issue of what to do with the old sectional. Dan at DW Ewing Movers responded right away and was very understanding and collaborative. He quoted me a very fair price (neither lowest, nor highest of 5 bids) and suggested they could meet me at Costco to pick up the new, deliver, unpack, and assemble them, then deliver the old furniture (still attractive and in very usable condition) to Habitat for Humanity. Movers Omar & Kyle were right on time and politely, quickly and carefully completed the steps as promised. What could have been an ordeal was a very smooth and painless process. I'm tempted to compose another 5-star review, just so I can award them a total of 10!!! read more

Fast, effective, kind. These guys know what they're doing. I would absolutely recommend!

Jesse and Dan at DW Ewing did an excellent job with the move of my house. I sustained an injury just days before the move and they told me to sit back and relax while they took care of everything, including putting my beds together at the new house. Their employees were very friendly and careful not to damage anything. They continuously offered to help with the installation in the new home. I could not have been more satisfied. Thank you DW Ewing for making our move as stress free as possible. Rich and Sara read more

Got a quote after providing additional details of my move and they fit us in ASAP! This was a multi stop move, but it really could have taken 1 hour. At the second top, the crew somehow got lost following us to the storage unit and jumped on the freeway putting us at over an hour and raising the cost. Overall, they moved our stuff just like we wanted and we are very happy with the service, thank you!!! read more

Protect yourself and ask for the Full Value Protection! Veteran owned & operated. Licensed and Insured. These are great things advertised on their website and flyers. However, your items and possessions, that they are moving, are not insured like you would think, unless you have that added. They never mentioned this, quoted it or even advised me... even after they broke two of my tv's. Instead, I was told by the movers that the owner was looking at tv's for possible replacement and then communication stopped. Later, I was contacted by their insurance company that offered $43 for two broken tv's that cost me $1300... they said they only cover 60 cents per pound. The rest of the moving experience was good but, next time, just tell people to buy extra insurance or move your own items that are valuable. read more

The movers were super accommodating and courteous. I would highly recommend this company for your next move.

Great communication from initial quote to Kayla throughly explains the entire process and breaking down all the fees. Matt and Hunter who packed and moved all the items were on time, highly professional and efficient with getting all requested work done in a timely manner. Really appreciate both Matt and Hunter asking clarifying questions during the packing process and just being great to work with. Highly recommend D W Ewing! read more

It depends on the team you get. I had an inefficient team and when you re paying by the hour, it adds up, they spent 30 min looking for tools they did not have to take apart furniture. they quoted me one price then on the move day told me the rate was higher for a weekend day, which they later refunded. Several pieces of furniture were not wrapped properly and were filthy on delivery. Lastly, one piece of furniture was damaged and they agreed to repair, but now still have not returned it after I contacted them on 3 separate occasions. read more

I am so happy with the service I have received from the first call until the last item was taken off the moving truck. Kayla was the person who answered my call and set an appointment too check what was going to be moved and give me a honest quote. She was awesome and covered everything. After providing me with a reasonable quote we agreed to use D.W.Ewing. We had planned the move and the rain forecast stated that it was 90% chance of rain so my wife called Kayla and asked if we could move out date to avoid the rain Kayla was very accommodating and moved the date. The day of the move the crew showed up on time and ready to go, Dale, Noe and Hunter, great crew packed everything or wrapped what needed to be covered. Outstanding job not a single item was damaged or broken. I would Highly recommend this Moving company to anyone. read more

I used their service for my move that was about 300 miles. They were responsive, punctual, careful with boxes and my furniture and I really appreciated their service. I would definitely recommend hiring them if you want to move. Their prices were also fair which is something that is great. Thank you read more

This is the 3rd move within a 7 year window. Price was competitive but best of all it's the special attention that the company gives with each move. Ewing arrived on time and completed the move within the specified time allowance. All went as scheduled which gave us a big smile. 100% local and a small business. read more

I'm never one to leave reviews but here we go. We setup a planned date initially a few days before moving and never got a confirmation until the day before the actual move at the end of February leaving us to call other companies for backups. The move went fine there after but some damages occurred from the front door light overhang glass enclosure being hit and falling onto the ground and a door being pushed open too far resulting in a hole in the wall. We figured that we were on file and having time to settle in to our new place that they would reach out to schedule a fix by their repairmen which the movers mentioned but that never happened. The move was end of February, we called on Memorial Day and spoke to a K. She said to email her pics of the damage and they'd get back to us. That never happened either. And here I am calling them back on July 11th just to be told that since the move was so long ago, it was outside of their 'jurisdiction' and that we are an hour and half away between Clovis and Visalia that they 'can't do anything'. It's funny that they can make the travel to make money but not to spend it on a simple fix for their repairmen. Why even ask for pictures just to waste my time. Did you want to see how bad the damage was so that this didn't turn into a bigger complaint issue? And I forgot to mention that I tipped them very nicely just to be treated like this. read more

We had an amazing experience with D W Ewing Movers and highly recommend them for all your future moving needs! Donna was amazingly helpful over the phone, was able to provide an accurate rough estimate, and they were even able to come out the next day to do a walk through and answer all of our questions. The move went without any issues and all of our stuff was packed expertly and arrived safely. Special thanks to Brandon who was so patient, kind, and careful with all of our belongings! read more

Yesterday, I met with the new owner of D.W. Ewing Movers, Louis Gennuso, regarding a recent move D.W. Ewing assisted with. Louis helped with a discrepancy that came up. That showed me the integrity of a new business owner. I like the fact that a business owner can make things right and keep the customer happy. Thanks Louis. To everyone else thinking of using moving companies in the Central Valley, I highly recommend D.W. Ewing Movers. They'll do right for you. read more

Crooks that bait and switch. They will quote you one price and then claim they did not estimate correctly. Then they hold your items hostage in their storage facility unless you pay the new higher price to deliver to your home. When you refuse the extortion tactics you have to find someone else to move it from their storage to your home. They then lie to the NEW moving company to make you seem like you are a bad customer and they won't take the job or charge you a lot more because they think you are a PIA. They also marked a box damaged but then claimed they delivered said damaged box but it magically disappeared. It was full of very sentimental precious irreplaceable memento's. They made our lives hell. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

I highly recommend this moving company. They were on time, fast and had done quality and safe work. They also have reasonable pricing. They will estimate or quote the job a little bit high for you to get the whole idea for the max time the job and travel will be done; it is just a quote. Thanks Donna for accommodating us on our needs that you made time for our scheduled move date. Thank you Manny and Brandon for fast and quality work done. read more

Excellent service , quick , safe and careful. Very polite and courteous. Office personal very professional and patient.

I didn't end up using this moving company only because my move was too small, but they were very helpful and honest in helping assess my situation. If you're looking for a trustworthy mover in the Fresno area I would seriously consider calling this company, you have nothing to lose! read more

This company did a great job helping us move yesterday, and even did it on short notice when the other local moving companies were not available. Stevie, Julian and Bento were great to work with--all around nice guys, hard working and very careful with all the items they were moving. They also showed up at the scheduled time, which in my experience is unusual for movers. If we need to move again in Madera, we're definitely giving this company a call and would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a mover in the Madera area. read more

This review is a few months overdue. We hired DE Ewing movers back in April 2021 to move our stuff from storage (after moving from Los Angeles) to our new home in Clovis. Everything was easy from setting up the appointment time to dealing with the 4 guys we hired. Brandon was the in charge guy and did an amazing job. All the guys were polite, efficient and handled out stuff with care. We even had them stay to put together some furniture. It was an all day event and not one complaint or lack of professionalism from the guys helping or the office. I highly recommend these movers. read more

DW Ewing Movers was professional and very easy to deal with from the start. The front office, company owner and the movers themselves were fantastic. They were consistent, on-time and very friendly. Kevin and Brandon did such a fantastic job moving our 2bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, I was blown away and their efficiency and skill. It was worth every penny, I would highly recommend their services and would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

I cannot believe I haven't written a review for these people they are awesome! Working with Donna in the front office, her husband, and their team I have moved three times in two years each time having the most professional level of service. I have my things in long-term storage with Ewing and the price is very reasonable. I cannot recommend DW Ewing enough for moving and storage. I hope I don't have to move again but I assume I will and I will be calling them the first person. read more

Thank you to Manny and the crew for an easy move. In reading some of the reviews, the price might have changed from the estimate but that has something I have seen with others movers as they can increase depending on the final outcome. I had phoned other movers who either never returned my call or gave me an estimate over the phone without coming out to see what was to be moved. All prices were well above what DW Ewing ended up to be. Donna came out the same day I phoned for an estimate and sent me numbers quickly. Calls or emails were answered promptly. The movers packed all my things well and quickly. I had 2 drop offs which they navigated well the day after pickup. All were pleasant despite the horrid heat wave at the time. I would not hesitate to refer this company to others or use them for future moves. read more

I'm a Real Estate Broker here in Fresno. I hired E.W. Ewing to help with my move to Sanger. They met me at my storage unit and were very careful with my items. I was so impressed with Hunter, Julian and Matt. They were professional, polite and are hard workers. When we arrived at my home, they helped me put my furniture where I wanted it placed and even helped assemble the beds. We took a break for lunch and they went right back to work. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing their services. read more

We just made the move to San Diego from Clovis and it was a seamless process on behalf of Donna and her movers. We initially contacted her some time ago and Donna personally came to assess our home, not one, but two times to ease our anxiety. She ensured we were prepared, answering all questions kindly and promptly. I was not present the day they came to load our home but my mother who was present had nothing but wonderful things to say about the moving team, which really emphasized for me their care, respect, and kindness. They happily returned the next morning punctually as we embarked on our driving day and loaded the remaining items e.g. large bed, plants, including a sizeable fridge. Listening to them communicate, coordinating each minute little turn of a corner, problem-solving our doorframe, with subsequent positive reinforcement for each other for a job well done speaks to the character of each of these men. The day of the unloading, they were gracious, patient, helped us organize our labeled boxes and masterfully put our items back together. The price was reasonable, and remember to tip your movers! Donna, you have a wonderful team and we cannot thank you enough for your service. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this company to all of our friends and family! read more

I had to move some large heavy items including a gun safe and based on reviews hired D W Ewing Movers. Donna gave me a reasonable quote over the phone and set a date and time to do the move. She called on the day of the move to let me know when their truck would be in site. Dale, Manny, Brandon, and Spencer showed up right on time. These guys were very careful in removing the safe from the closet and moving it out. They were strong moving all pieces easily and safely. Everything was unloaded at two different locations and placed where I needed them. I want to mention that Dale actually reduced the price upon completion because he said it went easier than expected. Now that's true honesty. I would highly recommend this team for any move due to great communication, promptness, efficiency, and the great care they take in the actual move. It was a 5 star move.
