My move out experience was completely unacceptable. Emma was completely rude and did not return my payment I prepaid. I was locked out of my unit due to their upgrade to their lock system. When she called me back to argue why being locked out of my storage was my fault and then aggressively argued with me then hung up. Prior to my move out, a week ago to be specific, i emailed staff and asked them to please let me know when they were changing the lock so that I could come down and get the new key but they failed to do so. The reason I chose this location was the flexibility in hours, i understand my rights as i am part of a legal firm that practices in contracts! Keeping a prepaid payment for 2 days due to you changing the locks to upgrade your system is an illegal lock out, especially when i request to be let known which specific date you changed my locks. The other staff there are amazing, Emma is very unprofessional and disrespectful ans has no customer service skills, she couldnt even carry a conversation with me in the office! The units are old and located near train tracks where a lot of homeless are BUT they have cameras and alarm system. My only complaint is that alot of dirt gets in the unit and my entire house is in there and I know it will be a hassle to clean if even possible to get clean again. I laid blankets down but still everything is filthy not after 2 months. The price was good and had availability quickly. So I'd recommend for short term use but more than 6 mo your stuff will be layered with dirt as is mine read more

I can't be the only person who has ever needed to place their entire lives into storage in a pinch or during a rough transition. Nothing is worse than the resources you suddenly need to take advantage of not being available for you in a timely manner. That said, two days after it was decided I would need a storage unit for my entire apartment ASAP, I went to Security Public Storage and was in and out in under the 30 minutes, with a clean unit to fit my needs, a contract for the three months I would need the space, a lock, and with a great deal to boot! The manager - Denette - was incredibly friendly and clear when telling me what options I had for unit size, price deals, and payment options. What could have been an overwhelming and stressful experience was tied up quickly and efficiently. I will be sure to edit my post at the end of my three months and let you know if I had any problems, but for now I feel confident that my belongings will be safe, and that I received a good deal. I think it's especially great that they rent U-Haul trucks - moving everything into and out of my storage unit will be a breeze! {Update: Removed my belongings from my unit the day before Thanksgiving. The folks at Security Public Storage set me up with a great U-Haul to help move my things from Fresno to Santa Rosa. I've been a long time storage client and let me just start by letting people know in the area looking for a storage space to steer clear from this facility. Getting the storage was quick and easy. Getting any type of customer service just forget about it. They are the least helpful and staff seem to change very frequently. At the end of my rental, I had advise the facility that I would be discontinuing my rental. I had asked if I needed to do anything to ensure that I would not be charge and one of the managers told me I'm paid through the end of the month (30th) and I can give them a courtesy call when I am do so they can check it themselves. I spoke to the manage on the 25th of March. As I am clearing out the next couple of days on March 27th I returned to clear out the rest of my stuff and I wasn't able to access the building. The person working the desk had went to lunch for the next hour. After multiple attempts I left and decided I would come back because I still had until the 30th. Upon my return on Monday, March 29th, I couldn't access the building, I was able to speak to the front desk whom informed that I no longer had the storage, that as of the March 27th, my locker that I had paid through the 30th had been rented out to someone else. I explain to the front office person I had Items in the storage that I still needed to remove which he informed me I had to take it up with the managers, he was only covering for the day and no other information. I wrote a letter to the managers and received a phone call on the 31st from the same manger I spoke to regarding discontinuing my storage at the end of the month. Not only was he aware that I was emptying out the storage, his response had change. He then told me he checks the storage every Saturday and he said my storage was empty (WHICH WAS A LIE) and no lock. There was no lock, but I had a few bags left and a box of random items left which is why I had returned to empty out the rest of my items but couldn't because they're management decided to cancel my access and DID NOT NOTIFY ME!!! So, here I am at a loss, which is made clear that it was my fault that I didn't have a lock but he took no accountability cutting me short of my rental and I'm positive, took the liberty of emptying out my storage himself so he can make money off of someone else. So, if you're looking for a legit storage facility with ample service, STAY CLEAR FROM THIS FACILITY. It is shady business with no service or accountability. You can get better service and Secured storage else where!!!! read more
