The move in process was seemingly glitched online... but now that I read other reviews it seems purposeful... Little did I know that I was in for an absolute nightmare! 1. They advertise the first month is $1... well that is a bit misleading... no matter what day of the month you begin renting you are charged $1 plus the admin fee to start everything... on the first of the next month... rent is due... but not pro-rated to reflect the full month of the discounted days remaining for the special pricing you receive... so.. if you rent on the 1st of the month... you get the full month... if you rent on the 28th of the month you get 2 days... which is no where close to the first month being $1! 2. Gate hours per the lease end 8pm all but Sunday which is 7pm... mind you not posted inside anywhere obvious... but they tell you when signing the lease you need to be out by 7:45/6:45 or there is a $150 charge for exiting late... 3. You call outside of normal business hours... even if gate not working during times specified on lease due to access issues that according to the lease should not be happening... you reach a recorded message stating all calls after office hours that are non-emergency will be charged $100 and that date issues are not considered an emergency!!!! This is the least of it! More reviews to come regarding the legal issues surrounding being denied access regardless of the letter of the law... dealing with rude... incompetent management... Before this place was nice and secure. But now the management themself are thief and they are making daylight robbery. For 5×5 storage i use to pay $57/month. Now they are changing $82 / month. More over if you are late they put so many unwanted changes like prelien,lien,insurance and other charges. For 2 months of non payment they have make it $420. I have already reported it the my attorney. The only thing I can suggest you people as top google guide, please do not use this storage facility. Horrible customer service. I went in to rent a storage unit and had already started the process online. When I set up the rental online it charged my card BEFORE I was able to read and sign the lease agreement. This was the first red flag. Next, I was not able to view the lease on my phone. It was way too difficult . So I went into the office to sign. Online, when I paid it said I was paying $1 for "the first month", and the total would be $26 for the first month with fees. When I went in first of all the overweight dude in the office was just hostile with his manners and the way he acted. He was NOT treating me as if I was someone bringing paying business to the company but instead someone he just had to "deal with". He went through his whole script about what I'm allowed to keep in the storage unit (even though it did not align what the paperwork said), and never mentioned anything about payments except for the payment needing to be paid on the first of every month. I said ok. Then after I signed, he said "you're going to owe another payment in 2 days being as today is the 28th your first month payment is only good for 2 days." I said UH WHAT. He then proceeded to try to blame ME for making a "mistake" even though I was not allowed to read the lease before my card was charged online, and then he never gave me a print out to read in the office nor did he explain to me my first month would only be paying for 2 days, and that I could come back in 2 days and rent the unit on the 1st to get the full month out of my first payment. He explained NOTHING along those lines. So of course I canceled the rental. Then he refused to give me a refund so I had to call my bank to dispute. They really tried keeping my money even though they provided NO service. Thats just horrible customer service. ANY reasonable business who's not hungry for money would let customers know their first payment is only covering 2 days. Then he had the audacity to tell me it was my own fault. Wow. These are exactly the type of businesses I will never do business with. I went to Derrells Mini Storage and they PRORATED the first 2 days just like ANY normal business would, then charged me for a full month on the 1st. So these people lost my business and should lose yours too. If you don't want to feel like pulling your hair out, just go somewhere reputable like Derrells. read more

After renting the unit for one month I come back to find my locked being picked open and there is abolition no surveillance facing out storage! I have a RV space and a unit for soccer storage. Facility is clean and access is easy. I am modifying my review on this place. At one time, they offered 4 months free if you paid for the year in advance. Last year they stopped doing that, and only offered a 15% discount if you paid for the whole year. They raised the rate on the RV space from 65 to 75. I just got a notice they were raising it again to 79. Need to start looking for another place to park the 5th wheel. They are getting ridiculous. read more

I've rented a unit and stored my trailer here off and on for a couple years. This place is CLEAN! , nothing like other storage places. The on-site staff are super friendly, organized, and always accommodating which is also out of the norm for a mini-storage. I would give zero stars if I could. First if they have no emergency number to call when the office is closed just in case something were to happen to your unit. Second of all they will place their lock on your unit and not notify you if the unit is empty. Apparently even though you're paying rent for the unit it's only considered occupied is there is stuff being stored in. Also I think they may live above the office, but don't even bother knocking on the office door they won't answer if the office is closed. I came in on a Thursday with my vehicle registration and told them I would be dropping my car off Sunday and no one in the office that day told me they placed a lock on my unit. No number to call to fix the situation, so I had to park my car in long term parking at the airport. When they called me, there was no sympathy, not even fake sympathy, It was basically along the lines of tuff luck they aren't doing anything to fix the situation or refund me any of what I paid. They have the worst customer service I've seen in awhile. I will not do business with them again, and I will tell all of my traveling coworkers not to do business with them. read more

I use Pacific storage as a location to store product for business with multiple units rented at this Fresno location. Bill and his wife are some of the nicest and most professional people I have worked with. On multiple occasions they have worked with me in handling some situations (that I caused) since I do not live in the area. It has been a lifesaver to have customer service and professionalism like this. The worse experience of my LIFE! the storage units are completely filthy. I would know, I had rat feces and a dead rat in my unit. The onsite manager gave me a new unit and advised to leave all the stuff that had rat feces and piss on it in the old unit. Which obviously we did. I get a call from the owner stating I need to move the stuff out or they will put a lien on the unit. I do not LIVE in Fresno, I cannot drop everything and run there to move the stuff. Second, their employee, agent of pacific storage, told me they would dispose of it. I will not be held responsible for the actions of their employee. Their customer service is the worst. they could care less about the person renting the unit. I will be contacting Fresno local news stations to report their conduct. This is despicable. Hi, Pacific Storage, and to all the people who were at the auction on January 9, 2014 last (THURS.), in which I knew nothing about,I would have never ever abandoned 43 year's of my life, that was in storage #952 a big 20x30 storage and #156 a 10x15 storage I don't really remember the sizes right now, just all the contents for both, knowing what a great impact it would be on my life,kids and grandkids, I was in constant communication with you. Right now I am feeling very very betrayed and deceived, I was never notified at all, by phone or email etc. my daughter has 2 storages at Pacific Storage and Howard you told me about them when they were behind, I was going to pay them for her so they would not get sold. Wow Howard you could have emailed me, I usually get an email but not this time, or called one of us in my file to at least give us a chance to pay it, I thought it was paided already, but I guess it was not. The last time I talked to you at the end of December 2013, you said that you did not know the found out on my FB page, by my oldest child last (Sat.)January 11, 2013 that 43 year's of my life was sold, 32date of the next auction, my daughter said that she was in to and you never mentioned my storages to her at all. I just year's of her life, 29 year's of my son's life, 26 year's of my other daughter's life, 23 year's of my other son's life, and 19 year's of my babies life was sold, and she called you about picture's and other personal items, because she was devasted when she found out. I explained to you about my situation,my unemplyment note coming and I tryed to file my 2012 taxes on Oct.15 but my W's were in my storage right in the front, but you said that I had to make a payment first and there was more than one person who would have paid for my life to be saved, my family is devasted to say the least, all our personal business and life was sold out from under us, with out so much as a notice.
