I've been to this location a few times in the past with average results but this time was different and better. Clearly things have improved from the last times I have been as service was better and the food was very good. Reasonable portions and pricing. The tamales were on the mild/bland side but it's to be expected in the area. The tacos were excellent with really flavorful al pastor and others and the green salsa is an interesting more modern approach which is very good. Unfortunately just run of the mill soft drinks but the hard drink they made was well balanced with great flavor. Service was attentive but not pushy however check out was a fumble. The waiter dropped the check and but without a card holder and didn't say where to pay, at the table or unattended register towards the front. A different server then explained some people pay up front and others pay with the server and it really just kind of depends on the server. Other than that it was a really solid experience and I'll definitely keep it in mind when I don't want to crosstown to my favorite taqueria. read more

This review is for the Fury's Ferry location, which is better than this location, but doesn't have a yelp page. It's on the corner of Fury's Ferry and Baston Rd. Great service! The food is good - your typical americanized Mexican fare. However, please keep track of your receipts from here. I manually record my expenses before I leave a restaurant - including the tip - but there may be some bad actors adjusting the tip after you've paid and left. Recently while checking my records, there was a $3 difference between my banks statement and my records. Take pictures or keep copies of your receipts and keep track of what shows up in your bank statement. Keep restaurants & employees honest. read more

We go to Poblanos about twice a month and have never been disappointed with the food, service, or friendliness of the staff. The food is always great, the beer ice cold and the service is as fast as you want it to be. They offer different specials every day and prices are reasonable. read more

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The waiter was EXTREMELY rude and when I told him what I wanted to eat, apparently I was wrong, as he insisted I was talking about something else and ordered that for me instead. I tried to protest, however he walked away assuring me that he was right. He wasn't. Next time I'll make sure to go to a restaurant that lets me order on my own. read more

It's okay, but watching the servers just stand around and poke their iphones is weird. Yes, everybody is topped off with their drinks and all the food is out but just hanging out over near the POS machine and poking around because there's nothing to do. The service is great. Everybody is super friendly and super fast. But when you walk in and see 8 servers just poking around, it gives off a weird impression. The food is okayish. The refried beans taste like they're just old el paso canned stuff and they're that same neon red-orange color. If you just want some plain mexican chow, the kind you'd get out of a cafeteria- which isn't bad! but hey, it's not something to write home about, and you're in the area you may as well come here. read more

I'm from California and have had the pleasure of true authentic Mexican food. This is not that but it is good nonetheless. My absolute favorite thing is the guacamole casero that they make at your table. It's seasoned just right. Service is usually pretty good unless they are super busy. Overall, good. Haven't tried the food yet, the waitress is putting it in to go boxes. The place is so loud, you can't hear the person across from you. You literally have to yell over people that are five tables away. There is no music to talk over, no loud televisions, just rude, inconsiderate people. Wife and I came in for a Sunday afternoon meal. No wait whatsoever, bonus. They brought out the salsa and I gotta say, I was expecting a little more spice, than the taste of tomatoes. If they could amp that up a little I'd be for it. My wife and I both ordered a Grilled Steak Taco Salad. My wife ordered her's with no beans and I ordered mine with no sour cream. While we were waiting the waitress was very attentive and even came out and told us there was a mix up in the kitchen and they had put beans on my wife's taco salad. But, she had caught it before it made it out so no biggy there. The taco salads themselves were very tasty, probably one of the best I've had. The cheese sauce that they put on it really brings together the entire entree'. Over all the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is over the salsa, it was just too bland for what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. If they amped that up, it'd be a 5. But, very good place to eat IMHO. read more

We visited this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. The food was pretty darn good at good prices. My only concern is that at least for the waiter we had, there seemed to be a lack of knowledge about food allergies. He did not understand that if the food I'm allergic to is fried in oil, then I can't have anything that's been fried in that oil. They did make accommodations which I am thankful for, but it took a little bit of educating on my part. read more

The food was very tasty. Especially enjoyed the Queso Fundido appetizer. Loved the fact that they had outdoor seating that was dog friendly, which was the main reason (besides the food) for the visit. While loud, I've always received friendly and smiling service. There are several vegetarian options clearly stated in the menu and food descriptions are thorough. Food comes out quickly but is almost always right on the money. The time or two that it was incorrect or unsatisfactory, it was handled efficiently and courteously. The drinks are well made, the chips are warm, and the restaurant is clean despite being consistently crowded. Overall, you cannot go wrong by choosing Poblano's for lunch, dinner, or just a drink. read more
