I went in to redeem a Groupon for a sandwich, and when I wanted to redeem two Groupons since my husband was with me, I was initially denied and then told if I made each sandwich a combo, I could redeem both. At that time, the owner came out, asked if this was our first time, and when we said we hadn't been there in many years, he said he would let us redeem both sandwich coupons since we were new to his franchise. We thought that was extremely accommodating and very kind. While the turkey and ham are unquestionably top notch and deliciously flavorful, the sandwiches are a bit pricey ($6.50-8). They did not skimp on the meat. The turkey sandwich on a bun is small whereas the turkey/ham combo was larger on served on a much more tasty whole grain sandwich bread. Which was no problem. We seated in a nice area inside that was beside the window so we can see outside, a street view. Our waiter was not too confident when we asked him questions about the menu and it was very general descriptions that we probably could just read off the menu. The food itself was solid. Calamari was good. We did not enjoy the crap bruschetta. We felt like it was a little dry and too much cheese. My wife thought the steak was average based on steaks we've eaten in the past. The gnocchi was solid and I didn't have any complaints with it, but it wasn't better than the past gnocchi's. I've tried at other locations. Overall, I would say this is a decent place to eat, but you could probably find better outside or around Frederick if you did a little research.

We took a table in the rear enclosed patio area near the bar. To start we ordered the meatball sliders. Two come with an order and they were good. I liked the toasted slider rolls, the tangy sauce and the spiciness of the meatball. Recommend cutting it in half to eat it without it flying out of the roll. Overall a good start. I ordered the gnocchi primavera which really wasn't in the traditional sense - as the vegetables were puréed together into an orange sauce. Had a good flavor and was served with burrata. Starters and entrees came out very close to each other which wasn't a bad thing. We also added a margherita pizza to share which looked weird - but tasted great. Nice crisp to the crust and thin. I usually think of a doughier crust with this kind of pizza but still good. Dessert was the fudge cake - rich in flavor, adding a coffee. Overall - would have loved to sit inside and get that experience but still good considering we didn't have a reservation. Our waiter - younger guy out back we good, though at times we leaned on the other bartender to help get refills.
