Another plumber same company came out to check his work because it flushes so loud now it's actually worse than the initial problem. For 400 I should be happy and I'm not. I will not use them again. David, a Master Plumber, came to my condo to give me a quote. He then came back the next day with an apprentice to install the toilet and flush the water heater. David answered all of my questions. He and his apprentice installed the toilets. The job was an A+. Here are some of the details: * Plumbing is a high-stakes job in a mid-rise condo such as mine. One leak could destroy multiple floors beneath. * My HOA requires proof of insurance that covers multi-family. AAA Auger had that proof, which is how they got on our approved list of contractors. * David has 40 years of plumbing experience, so he was well prepared to manage the complexities of working in my mid-rise condo. * AAA Auger sent a text message before the visit with a picture of David and his bio. I think that's a nice way to introduce a technician before they arrive. * David easily found the building and parked in the loading dock. I didn't have to call him once before he arrived. What a relief - sometimes this can be hard to explain how to get here. * Along with the new toilets, I purchased an artificial wax ring and some new hoses. David evaluated those, but given the placement of the toilets against the tile, recommended a different wax ring and different hoses. He had the recommended products in his truck. I trusted his judgment and went with his products. * After installing the toilets, David flushed my water heater. * I've gotten my water heater flushed by other plumbers each year for the past three years. Each time, it takes the plumber only 15 minutes. David took 30+ minutes to drain the water heater. I asked why, and he showed me that's how long it *actually* takes to drain all the way. In other words, the previous plumbers were cutting corners and not draining the water heater all the way. * After flushing the water heater, David checked the toilets and found a few drips under the new hoses. He discovered the hoses had a manufacturing defect and replaced the hoses again during the same visit. HIS PROACTIVE APPROACH SAVED ME FROM HAVING TO CALL HIM OUT AGAIN. * The next day, the dispatcher from AAA Auger called me to follow up and see if I had any questions. I told them everything was perfect. * I'm writing this review a week after my service call, and the toilets are working perfectly. There's no leaks on the hoses. The water heater is performing well. * I'm very happy with the service I received from AAA Auger. I would recommend them. * 1 big thing - I paid a pretty penny for the service. It was worth it because of the quality of the install, the experience of the plumber, and the insurance they carry that's compatible with my HOA requirements. * 1 more way to look at the cost: I don't expect to call a plumber to service the toilets for another 10 years. So, the way I look at the price I paid today is to divide the price by 10 - that's how much per year the job cost me.

They said the drain line was broken at the septic tank entrance, and recommended a complete septic line replacement at 4000.00. I gave them 50% (2000.00) to start to have the line dug up. I don't know if they were in a hurry or what but I hope it was not a sham. Such a simple thing to diagnose - check the tank 1st to see if it is full. I figured that out on my own, thank goodness! So what they convinced me to do was not needed at all - the septic tank was simply full and needed pumping. Cost me 2000.00 and tore up my yard for nothing. My yard was torn up and there remains a 6" high by 12 feet long mound that I guess I will have to level out on my own since you can't mow over it. I asked if there might some refund on my 2000.00, and the tech said he would check, but I never heard back from them. Unless I hear something ( it has been 6 months), I can't recommend this company.

However, he was clearly extremely thoughtful in his troubleshooting approach and knowledgeable about not only plumbing but overall house construction. It's a powerful combination to have because he knows the end-to-end and understands how it all fits together, so he can advise even on things like how to lay a foundation optimally. He also walked around with me a little bit and commented on some other improvements that he would do if it were his house. These were things that he did not stand to make any money off of recommending to me but was simply advising as best practices, including some that would keep my kids safer, prevent water heater leaks, and give me a creative workaround to an issue I'm having with my shut off valve. So that guy is great and, since it's his company, I assume a solid reflection of the type of knowledge and experience he expects of and instills in the people he hires. I also see there are some reviews on here where people had issues with scheduling or other things, which obviously are important. But at the end of the day, I would rather have some scheduling issues but get a great person out than have somebody with less experience who is easier to schedule with. That's not to say that I think they have a habitual problem with this, just that I think it's important to prioritize what really counts. I think there are few people who are more knowledgeable than Stagg and would definitely recommend them, especially if you have something that's tougher to figure out.

Wife was sneaky in getting to come to property when job could have been quoted over phone and sly in trying to skeeze a service fee they never ever communicated anywhere along the way to basically write me an estimate on the way home from an emergency service call job. Would. Not. Use. Husband and wife team in a transit van and I called them when trying to get a water heater replaced in Frisco over the weekend. I sent pictures, provided all details, knew exactly what I wanted done down to the exact brand of the water heater and parts. This could have and should have been a straight quote over the phone with the info I was given. The range given on the phone was 1800-2300 despite having all of the details in the pictures before arriving the property. I was led to believe pricing could be toward lower end of range by saving sediment trap, pan and more... After coming out with nothing materially changing, they quoted me nearly $2400 in person. They also wouldn't come back out for the inspection with city either...Legacy Plumbing quoted $2150 over the phone and they were high...soup to nuts with a better warranty. After I mentioned that they said they would match it.. no thanks... Best part of all.. after feeling like I had wasted my time, at the end of the estimate when They had offered to "come out" when they were on their way back from another job to see if they could make the price cheaper, they tried to charge me $69!! made absolutely no mention of any fee to do so. Had I known about the fee, This would have been an immediate no, and move on to the next plumber. When I told wife you never mentioned on phone at any time she said you know what, forget it and walked off.. Numerous reputable plumbers quoted this, with parts and all based on pictures and details without coming out, cheaper than they did. Again, this is with brand of water heater, size, parts, and components all clearly and consistently aligned and communicated. I felt like this is another one of these contractors gaining customers through the "recommended by" uninformed people on Nextdoor who recommend contractors who are "nice" to them and who act as if they are "affordable" and cheaper than larger outfits but are really higher priced and lower offerings than others. I wasted my time on an important Saturday and the entire process made me feel deceived. When I sniffed and snuffed out the nonsense it was game over. Went an alternate route in the end with a better warranty for far less money, got a new water heater in by end of night but learned ...again... the "recommended bys " on Nextdoor are nearly worthless depending on who is writing the reviews ... I am going with three stars only because Christmas is coming soon and I'm trying to be nicer even to those who deceive, I don't know the actual quality of the work, just the sales process and feel as though I wasted my time and was deceived through niceties.
