Mathew F. With Lexus plumbing came to fix an emergency gas leak. As always, Lexus plumbing comes through quickly, and efficiently. All of their technicians are professional, and their work is always exceptional. He was able to fix the problem, get the Frisco city permit, and help get Atmos energy out to turn the gas back on. All of this occurred with a matter of hours. Not days. Also, all of the technicians, Mathew, and everyone who has ever come out, is especially good with my dog. And it's quality work, and they never upsell you. If you need something, they'll explain it, and with a glad heart I'll purchase it. There have been several times that I have not had to pay as much money as they have inspected appliances and toilets and fixed the problem without having to replace them. When they need replacing, I will call no one other than Lex's plumbing. I will never use another plumber again. I refer them to all of our neighbors, and they continue to refer them to additional Neighbors. I would absolutely not recommend hiring this company, especially for work in older homes. A tub waste and overflow repair in our 1950s house resulted in significant damage and ultimately forced a full tub and tile replacement. No structural issues were identified prior to work beginning and the only risk disclosed in advance was potential cosmetic chipping, which I understood. I had another estimate prior to Lex's Plumbing who also did not identify any issues. During removal of the tub shoe using a power tool, the tub was damaged and later attributed to pre-existing corrosion. Afterward, I consulted multiple master plumbers and repair professionals (due to the extensive work necessary to repair), all of whom stated that this type of damage is far more consistent with forceful removal than with a hidden defect alone. The outcome was weeks of disruption and many thousands of dollars in required repairs, with original 1950s materials lost because they could not be matched. I requested a refund for the unsuccessful repair and a sewer camera inspection I could not move forward on due to a loss of trust. No refund was offered. While communication was professional, I certainly do not trust their professional judgment and would not use them again. This experience showed a serious lack of judgment and accountability, and I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring them. read more

The plumber was here for two hours and spent 1 1/2 hr in his car. Relit my pilot light on water heater and disassembled a faucet and took pictures. I waited twice for him to go to his car to get a quote (he clearly had no idea what to do)and then was charged $360 for diagnostics. After I complained, got charge down to $275. No repair on faucet. A lot to pay for very little work. As full disclosure, I used them several years ago and had no problems but now I have lost my trust in them. Also, the plumber I requested was scheduled but they sent someone else. Very frustrated!!! read more

AVOID Lex Plumbing!! They are Just a money grab operation! Gave me a $485 estimate for a $60 cartridge that wasn't even bad!! My bathtub faucet was dripping and called Lex for plumbing service since I wes told plumbing was covered as part of the Lex Air Service Star plan. They sent a couple of young guys out who just eyeballed my drilling faucet for a few seconds, took a picture, and told me it was a bad cartridge. They didn't turn the faucet or remove the cover and inspect it. They went outside for a couple of minutes and came in with a quote for a $485 to replace the cartridge. Needless to say, I turned down their outrageous and ridiculous offer. After they left I decided to take off the cover, talked to Delta and found that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the cartridge. All I found was just a couple of loose screws in the cover. I put the cover back on and tightened up the screws the drip stopped. Lex Service Star Plumbing could have done that but did absolutely nothing except try to take $485 to replace a part that wasn't even broken. And on top of that they still charged me $70 as service fee for zero service!! UPDATE: they never send me an invoice they just sent me a list of things they never checked. It's interesting how NOW that I'm leaving this review suddenly they cannot find me in their system. When I spoke to the service manager the phone he was able to find me, and he got super defensive when I shared my dissatisfaction with their service and hung up on me. read more

We had a smell problem in the shower box. A month ago in April 2022, we asked Alex to come. He snaked the shower drain, and put clobber in. Clobber is the stuff plumber uses to dissolve hair, dead skin cells, gunk down there. He said if the smell still lingered, he recommended to use smoke bomb test at $400. A month later, May 2022, I called and wanted him to do the smoke bomb test because the smell is still bad. The girl at the office called Alex and then called me back saying it's now $895. One month and it went from $400 to $895?? I know inflation is bad, but to double the price in one month?? Needless to say, I don't want it. My husband should have gotten a written quote from him on the $400, but he didn't. I'm happy to report that I received a quote from another plumber for less than $400 the next day. read more

I had a major leak in our front yard and thought it was the sprinkler system. After troubleshooting for about 10 minutes, Sean, found a leak in the main line going into our home. The leak was right at the foundation slab wall. Sean kept us briefed on his progress, what he was doing and why, and what it would cost. Later, he had Jeff assist on the job and Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and professional as well. I like it when a professional tradesman provides you with options on how you would like to proceed on the task at hand and not do what they want to do regardless of cost. I don't even know where to begin.. I had hired another company and my father had a funny feeling about how things were transpiring.. don't get me wrong, after a pandoras box is opened, I understand that more and more get's exposed.. however, this other company did me in for a #.. I had initially called to get a pipe drained as it was clogged and to see if they could change out some piping in my water heater to be brass.. which led to a change of water heater (which was still under warranty and would have been free mind you), exposed walls, taking out of the dishwasher (which was not needed), replacing pipes, and were even stating we were going to have to jackhammer the concrete since there was a leak (which needless to say, there was no leak, no need for new pipes, nor was there a need to jackhammer at all)..oh and they even broke my AUX pipe to the AC in checking those lines as well.. and had to re-do the clogged pipe the very next day since they didn't get it all the first day (and needless to say had to re-charge me for the additional time)... that is when my dad asked me to look around- my neighbor recommended Lex's Pluming to me, since he had worked with them on his remodel and loved them.. so I called them. A lovely lady, named Maha took my call. I told her my story and where we were, she immediately told me she had no tech's available, but would send out the GM- Chris to come to verify that what they were doing was justified.. Chris arrived within 30 minutes!! It was the fastest service call I ever received! He stated they were running me over- as shown from the first paragraph, you can see what all was happening.. He was even embarrassed that they were doing this to me, and immediately took action! He called the team to see what they could do for me since at this point it had been 3 days of no water heater or AC (which it has been a bit toasty at 80 degree weather in TX)...That said, they came the next day and took care of all the unfinished work for me.. so that was the uninstalled dishware, the uninstalled new heater, patching up the walls, and fixing the AUX pipe as well -needless to say actually running the tests that SHOULD HAVE been done from the previous company! I even got a personal call from the owner, Alex, to apologize on behalf of the other company, and to even offer assistance in seeing if we could try to recover my money from the other company, which I respectfully declined as it is not in me to do that, but I sure can praise about how Lex's Plumbing took care of me.. Lex's Pluming has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND with my situation, all from the first person who took my call- Maha, to the GM that came to do the inspection, to the crew (Rhyan, Brandon, Braydon, and Chris who came back out to hold my hand through the process) and finish up the job! They even went as far as patching up the walls for me (which should not have been included and installing the dishwasher which they don't do)! I could not be more grateful for them and their team! THANK YOU! which is not even enough! I will refer you to anyone who is having pluming issues- 100%. You are the best of the best hands! read more

What a GREAT experience. I called several of those TV commercial companies to have a new kitchen faucet installed. They all said it would be a trip fee to come give me an estimate. I called Lex and they gave me the estimate over the phone and included new shutoff valves. Matt arrived on time and did excellent work quickly. Installed a hot water heater with a expansion tank in 2014 , never pulled permits and installed the expansion tank up against roof line .. when new roof was installed in 2015 the tank was punctured, it held until 2017 the great flood , emergency shut off valve was installed on the wrong side of the line.. 70,000 in damage. I would love to have reviewed the service itself, but I did not receive it. I called Lex's on Thursday, December 13 and spoke to a very polite woman about a few plumbing issues. She noted the details of my issues and suggested that one low water pressure issue in our master bath may be the result of filter. She gave me an estimate for filter replacement, if that did indeed turn out to be the issue. I gave my name, phone number, and address and was told that a tech would be out on Monday, December 17 between 8-10 and that they would call me before hand. Monday rolls around, no call and no tech. I call Lex's back, and they have no record whatsoever of me calling. I am not crazy - I only use my cell phone for calls, and did NOT call multiple plumbing companies. In the past month we've had a couple issues at our home that Lex's plumbing took care of. We were referred originally by AHS to fix a shower faucet. I was impressed at the attention to detail by the team from the receptionist who took our call asking about the issue and narrowing down possible causes to our tech Brandon who was out next day who confirmed the diagnosis of a cartridge replacement and had our faucet working in no time. We had such a great experience with Brandon that we called back in to have our kitchen faucet replaced when felt like it was faltering. Matt arrived at our home in the time designated and took care of the install quickly and efficiently. The team is highly knowledgeable and is up front about the pricing which is helpful/comforting when dealing with plumbing matters. This company consistently goes above and beyond for their customers. I started using this company probably 6-7 years ago and I have never experienced a late technician, cancelled appointment, or bad customer service. Just today I had to contact a 24-hour plumber because my son's shower handle broke at 1am, so we had to turn the main water supply off to the house. Three larger companies claiming to offer 24-hour services didn't deliver. Two of them cancelled and one never called back for my appointment time. I called Lex's Plumbing about my emergency and they were at my house in 20 minutes. I recommend this company 100%!!! read more

Worst experience ever!!! I called lex's plumbing to fix my tankless water heater issue which wasn't working past 2 days. A guy named Corey came over today and checked the system . He said there is some sensor problem and need to order it. He charged us $300.00 and left the place asking us to order the parts. First of all what was the point in him coming over. Was it just to diagnose the issue or fix the issue? OMG! These folks are useless! Never ever gonna recommend their service to anyone. It was just a waste of our money and time. read more

Made a service call for no hot water pressure in all my faucets. it was the water deposits clogging the hot water line from the (top of the) water heater. I didn't feel comfortable messing with it, so I called Lex's Plumbing. Their plumber came out told him the problem, within 10 mins without ever going inside or even opening up the hot water line he determined that I needed a new $1,257 water heater with a week delay for install, and he had the nerve to charge me $49 service call. He said he couldn't look at the hot water line that it might break (???) because the age of the water heater (11 yrs). He was suppose to send me a email quote, never got it. I gave them 2 star for being on time and their were courteous. After doing some DYI again and cleaning the hot water lines a couple days later the harden deposits broke and got hot water again full pressure. Lesson learned don't always trust the professionals, as their looking for their best and easiest interest. Although, I think I will need a new hot water soon, got a quote from Home Depot with install, same water heater for $900 next day install with a local plumber. Little Elm Resident read more

Had Lex come to do an insurance job, as he was the only choice my home insurance offered. Refused to fix the insurance job for the expected $60 and said my problem needed $350 worth of extras to install a tap and replace a garbage disposal. He didn't connect my dishwasher, and it literally covered the kitchen floor the next day. Likewise, had a similar massively overpriced quote on installing 2 x water heaters. Found better quote from practically everyone else. I installed my water heaters at over $1000 cheaper and got a 9year guarantee by going elsewhere. We had Chris from Lex's plumbing come out and remove two traditional water heaters from a closet in one of our bedrooms upstairs. He also installed a tankless water heater and rerouted the water lines and was able to get a gas line ran from the furnace in the attic. Chris did a phenomenal job and was extremely detailed with his work. He and his apprentice did an awesome job and left our house cleaner than when they arrived. Today we just had the city inspector of Frisco come out and advise that this was one of the cleanest, best looking jobs he had seen before! He said this was even better than new home build quality and he had to take pictures to show some of the other inspectors. We have been using Lex's Plumbing since 2014 and will always go back to them for all of our plumbing needs!! Thank you so much Chris and Lex! I am really not sure why so many folks have given Lex's Plumbing such bad reviews on Yelp. To be honest, if I had read these reviews I would have been afraid to have them enter my house. I also was first introduced to them via my Home Warranty Company over a year and half ago. In my case they have come to fix issues through my home warranty and also outside of my home warranty company that the warranty company does not cover. I have also had other Plumbers come out here as well (because the Home Warranty company sends random vendors each time). I guess I have a lot of plumbing issues :) Regardless, out of all of them, Lex's Plumbing definitely stands out in friendly customer service and excellent quality of workmanship. I have dealt with Mike, Chris, and Robert (all in person). All 3 of them are extremely professional. Chris always wears Shoe covers (whereas the other 2 do not) which is a plus when my wife is at home. I have had them fix burst pipes in my backyard twice, and install sink faucets twice, and they do a great job from start to finish. I can say that Mike and Robert for sure do a quality job in not only fixing up the issue but also making sure nothing will repeat. Chris is also nice, but he has not done anything complicated for me as of yet. I have also had Lex's Plumbing quote me on replacing my 17 Year old Water heater, and they have given me a fair quote. I would say that it took a lot of effort for me to get them to give me a quote because I have a 75 Gallon water heater and its a tough job. In general I would say they are not the cheapest player in town, but atleast for me they do quality work, and I am happy with them. If it is simple task (Drain Clogs, Toilet Clogs, etc), just try to do it yourself by buying the tools at Home Depot. If it is something more complex, I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. read more

Beware this company will Not value you as a customer and will try to take advantage of you in prices. I have used them for numerous repairs for numerous years at a rental property I own. I called them to fix a running toilet and the supply line valve wasn't stopping the water. Their Quote to repair a worn out flap and supply line valve. Over $500. In response I said "I could install a brand new toilet for less" the response was "we charge $325 for that and you supply the toilet." They charged me a $60 service fee instead of saying you know what this is a $20 parts repair that will take less than 30 minutes and fixed it for an hour of labor. Instead they didn't value me and chose to try to take advantage of it being Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend. After just paying them $249 to repair an outside faucet in March. Another over priced repair that took 30 minutes. You decide whether you want to become their next victim. read more
