I cannot say enough great things about Staggs Plumbing. We noticed a leak under our kitchen sink yesterday (Thurs night) and woke up today (Friday morning) and immediately started calling plumbers to come out ASAP. I went to Yelp and just started dialing every plumber with decent reviews and called about 5-6 plumbers and everyone was booked. Then I called Staggs and they said they could send someone same day between 12-4. After calling so many plumbers, I was SO thrilled I found someone to come in such short notice. It gets even better - Matt (the owner's son) and Cameron (the owner's bonus son) came even earlier than expected around 10:30am! They put little covers over their shoes (love that), looked at the issue and fixed it -- all within the hour AND for a reasonable price. It was just $375 and other plumbers via Yelp had quoted me $550+ by just looking at the pics I had provided. I still can't believe how fast, efficient and friendly they were. We woke up this morning with a huge problem and now its fixed before lunch. I have never had a better experience with a contractor. Wow. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Staggs has been out go-to for years. They have done everything including a slab leak in the garage, faucet replacement, upstairs pipe leak, and an outdoor leak. While they are pretty prompt to show up, they don't seem to be the highest quality and their ethical standards are questionable. A couple of my experiences: 1. They came to repair a leak from upstairs. After cutting in the wrong locations in my ceilings twice, they finally found the leak behind a sink. After "fixing" the issue, it is leaking a little over a year later from the same place. Shoddy work. 2. They came out to fix a leak in the year behind my water meter. Quoted $500, which I agreed to. While I was at work, they decided that the leak was a bit behind where they thought it was and needed to dig more. They talked to my wife, who wasn't invoiced in initial discussions and told her it was going to be closer to $2500 and demanded a payment of $1500 to proceed. They actually billed $3000. For that they couldn't even be bothered to finish the same day, despite having clear access to the leak by 5pm. read more

I had a clogged sink in the master bathroom so it was not a complicated job. Surprisingly, the bill was quite EXPENSIVE (about 3x of my other local plumber). Scammer be aware!!!!! If I could give this company a -5 I would. My tenant told my the kitchen sinks faucets is leaking so I look up to the closest plumbing company and thought it would be great to support the local business. However the next they the plumber name tony came. He told his it could be fixed but it "could happened in the future" ok........ that's how this scam company try to get you. All the gimmick tricks! So he up sale her a new faucets. That cost 160$ which is the same one I can get less than 40$ on Amazon. But that's ok because we have to support our local small business right? Btw I was not able to pick up the phone at that moments and my tenant just agreed to do it. The worse part is they are changing us 600 dollar to put it in? 600$??????? For what? Replacing it and attaching all the tubes? And take them less than an hr!!! The equivalent of 10$ per minute? And lawyers and doctors that spent hundreds of thousands and 6 to 8 years would even make that much!!! So when I called them back and explains what happened on the first time even the women agreed it was a bit much, but will talk to the manager or owner. After two day I didn't got any call back so I reached out again. And this time I think I got on hold of the owner. And god he's awful!!!! Even I was so polite and explained to him. He got the audacity and said that well your tenants agreed to the jobs so that how much it going to be!!!!!! What? What a fantastic experience! They were able to fit us in same-day and even called us when they had an earlier opening than originally thought. The guys were so polite, so professional & so honest. We had an upstairs toilet that was leaking so they guys checked it out, were thorough & then gave us our options with their suggestions. They ran all the tests, diagnostics & such and found the issue. We were wondering if replacing the toilet would help & they honestly told us they didn't think that had anything to do with it, which was so honest & helpful! They told us what we could do to fix the issue or said they could do it for us. We opted to have them do it as there were some work-arounds needed based on how the original owners built the bathroom. If I could give negative stars I would. I interviewed with Darrian for either a dispatcher or customer service representative and wanted to bring me on but they needed me to go through another interview with April Staggs in which she was busy that day and called me days later and we scheduled it for Monday but then that day they wanted to push it back for later in the day. They then called me again wanting to reschedule for another day and I kept reaching out to see when the next interview would be. Finally a few days later we proceeded with a phone interview with April and Darrian in the background and she said she wanted to bring me on and we agreed for my start date would be 08/18/2025. Well my daughter was sick over the weekend and then Sunday morning I had to rush my daughter to the hospital only to find out she had to be admitted and transferred to Children's for a heart issue. So Sunday late morning I called Darrian and got no answer so I sent both him and April a message letting them know my situation and Darrian said he would the team know and that was okay and that he hoped my daughter feels better soon. So when we got out the hospital I reached out to them by texting and calling for 2 days to no avail. April read the messages but never responded. Darrian FINALLY responded Saturday late afternoon that both April and the owner Randy wanted to go another direction. BUT NO ONE would want to be an adult and let me know when I made each attempt but instead I get a text message! Randy Staggs, owner of the company, responded very quickly to our request. He installed two new hand-held shower heads, a leak detector, and checked our main water shut-off valve for proper operation. He's smart, experienced, efficient, and thorough. We needed our furnace checked because a home inspector who went over our condo with us prior to purchase was unable to inspect the furnace because of the bolted cover over it. Randy recommended his other company, newly created Dallas Heating and Air Conditioning, to do the furnace check. With my okay, he called the technician, Vincent Marrone, and he arrived at our condo in just a few minutes. Surprisingly, he found that the 2018 furnace was not wired in properly and that it was not operational. He corrected the wiring and we smelled the heat for the first time since buying our condo in February! I cannot recommend Staggs Plumbing and Dallas Heating and Cooling strongly enough. We signed up for annual HVAC checks because Vincent was so impressive on his first visit here. read more

Cost us thousands after they used a camera and misdiagnosed the area of the leak to be under our dining room and jack hammered the entire floor and dug it all up before discovering there were NO pipes. Forced us to pay them to repair the floor or they would leave it like it was. They were fined by the State of Texas but we never saw any of that money. Didn't get a permit from the city before the work either. Another company found the leak just along the edge of the house (Outside) where they said is the first place a plumber should look. This happened years ago, but I was horrified to see they were still out there when I googled for a plumber. They have NEVER attempted to make restitution. read more

What a terrible experience with this plumbing company. The plumber they sent to fix my sink leak came for 5 minutes and then said he'd return in an hour to silicone coat the leak. He then returned and said he had to order parts instead and would call later that day with pricing. He never called. I then called the office a few days later asking for an update, never got one. I then called again and finally the plumber called me and said he'd text me the quote and be there in 2 days to fix it. He never called nor showed up as promised. I emailed the owner as well with my experience, still no follow up. After several weeks, sink is still leaking and no follow up from Staggs plumbing. Last night we discovered one of our sinks was slowly draining. This morning, it was overflowing, I called different plumbing companies for quotes but only one was able to offer same day service, Mia responded to all my questions quickly and based on this I got a good impression on the company. Within 30 mins, Tony and Cameron showed up, took care of business quickly and also capped our stove gas pipe. In the middle of the job I was told it would be $700 more because sinks were leaking due to old pee trap seals. (Owner failed to tell me that this could cause cost increase) I had no choice but to comply and pay or I would have had four leaking sinks) 4. Front yard spigot had been leaking on and off for years. Decided to once again fix by replacing the washers myself but instead the entire assembly was toast. Was not planning on keeping the water to house off too long so needed an emergency plumber pronto. Called a couple plumbing companies but no one had openings until the follow week. Called Staggs and they sent a person out right away. Matt explained everything that he might have to do; 90s house, if welded and not screw in have to take out brick to replace and put in correct screw in version, if screw in then simple fix. Luckily was the simple fix. Matt and Garrett were awesome. Even got a lesson on how to keep outdoor spigots lasting longer. Highly recommend this company. Until recently, I would rate Staggs Plumbing with five stars. They have done several jobs for me and I used to be impressed. Their employees do not stand behind their work a day over the one year warranty verbally discussed, and a previous repair was quoted at a much higher rate. In addition, after they left from the most recent job, I noticed a stud was missing from my wall. None of the three Staggs employees who were in my home talked to me about this before doing so, they just did it. Their office schedulers are great to work with, as are some of their plumbers; the problem for me is if I cannot trust all of their employees, I will not hire or recommend them moving forward. read more

I had three sinks serviced. I have some pretty old plumbing that needed a few updates. After a kitchen sink leak caused by a broken cut off valve, I needed peace of mind it wasn't going to happen around the rest of the house. I had three sets of cut off valves replaced with the new kind that aren't rigid and don't break. I also had two sinks that were draining slow and one faucet that was dripping. Two guys showed up and after giving them the list of improvements, went straight to work. The work was completed quickly but not rushed. The two new faucet replacements look great and all six cut off valves look professionally done. I was also pleased with the price. I've had issues with Baker Bros and Benjamin Franklin fixing and then causing other issues. I doubt I'll have that problem with Staggs. Now I just need to find a good electrician to replace all of my loose power outlets. read more

Absolute criminals. Please do not use these guys. I called them instead of my normal plumber because these guys were readily available on an urgent repair. They recommending replacing the sewer line in the yard which was already PVC (which I was unaware of), which of course did not fix the issue but they happily charged me $5.5 K, - the issue was the cast iron piping underneath the house. I wasn't made aware at the time that the repair would stop at the house so several weeks later, when the same back up happens, they informed me of the house to alley "mis" repair but then stated I likely had two problems. Both toilets started to leak from the bottom. I called Stagg's and two guys, Cory and Travis were here within 1 1/2 hours. They fixed the problem and were delightful men. We had a plumbing issue in our upstairs bathroom (clogged sink) and needed someone to come out during after normal business hours. From my initial phone call with the admin person, I knew there would be a $150 base charge (service call) just to have someone come out during after hours, plus fees for the repair work. However, I was still a bit sticker shocked to see after 45 mins of work (standard snake job to unclog a drain), I was charged $478 ($150 + $328). Then things got worse when I called the company back just to see if I can get a breakdown of the repair charge for $328. Now, while I wasn't super thrilled about paying nearly $500 dollars, had my simple question been answered, perhaps all this could've been avoided. However, not only was my question not answered, this person ended up giving me an attitude and questioned why I'm even complaining about the pricing. I requested for a manager to call me back and received a phone call within minutes from Randy who explained to me that the $328 was a standard fee. He also explained that the lady I spoke to was from some 3rd party company that handles their after hour support. Anyways, our plumbing problem was fixed and I got my answer, but I wasn't too happy about the whole experience. And just to be clear, the lady who initially helped me over the phone to schedule the visit as well as the technician/plumber who came out to fix the problem did a great job, so this 3 star review is not a reflection on them, but more for the whole experience. read more

I am sure can you what the quote would be knowing that he has been in business for over 30 years and worked with many insurance companies. Outstanding! This is a family owned and operated company that provides quality work and exceptional customer service. They were polite, professional, and efficient. I called because I needed a new dishwasher installed and it required new pipes and hoses. April (office manager/dispatch?) was very kind and helpful and scheduled an appointment for me. Matt and Juan came out first thing the next morning and took care of everything I needed and were even kind enough to look at some other work that I wanted done. They are very knowledgeable and affordable. They clean up after themselves and wear booties over their shoes to keep your floors clean. Will definitely use them for future projects! I reached out to a number of plumbers through Yelp on a Saturday night to get work completed the week of Thanksgiving. Before that Saturday night was over, Staggs had scheduled the work for first thing on Monday morning. They were very prompt and professional with their communication throughout the entire experience. I was out of town while the work was done, and the plumber called to talk me through everything while he was completing the projects. I was pleased with the pricing, and when I got back to town to look at the work, he did an excellent job. I believe he went above and beyond in some areas, such as removing and replacing brick at no additional charge, and getting the water heater connections up to code, even when that wasn't in the original scope of work. I manage multiple rental houses and have worked with many plumbers. Assuming Staggs continues to provide the excellent service that they did, I'll continue using them for any plumbing work in the future. read more

Pathetic unprofessional service. Asked for a quote on very simple items and after visiting my house to look at each one I received the most laughable quote I have ever seen. They actually charge $275 to install a simple sink faucet that the customer provides. I asked how they calculate the $275 because I know that takes about 20 min which implies an hourly rate of $825 and they dodged the question and said "we charge by the job". Wow just wow. RIPOFF ALERT! I said is that your only rationale and the woman I spoke with was incredibly snobby and rude and said yes. So I said I was just giving you a chance to explain before I posted your quote on yelp and she panicked and said oh wait on hold I'm brand new this is my first week blah blah blah (all lies), I will get the owner hold on. So I wait on hold. No owner shows up then she says the owner will call me I said ok sure. Did the owner ever call me? Nope. Radio silence. Just pathetic. DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAMMERS! Update: "Owner" calls me unannounced on saturday morning, I asked why didn't you call me yesterday as your manager told me you would? He says "I was busy". Then I ask him please explain to me how you estimate a sink faucet install at $275. How long, what hourly labor cost etc. He says "how much should it cost" and then starts screaming at me. Had some trouble with my hot water heater and called knowing nothing. I spoke to April, who was very courteous, patient, and knowledgeable. She was able to get me scheduled for the time I needed, no problem. The tech (I wish I had his name but I wasn't on site for the appointment) was very professional and was even early. He was ready to go before I could get someone out to meet him and when I let him know, he told me he would wait, no problem. He was able to diagnose the issue and get me my hot water back, and even though I had expressed interest in possibly replacing the heater, he was honest about the prognosis and what I was looking at in the short and long term. I cannot stress how much I appreciate that. Not every service provider would pass on an opportunity to make a sale with a customer who has no idea what is going on.
