I spoke to a few other plumbing companies, but decided on Stagg's due to April's responsiveness & patience with me. Pretty simple concept, but she stepped up where others failed. The part that scared me the most was not having an idea of what they would quote me once they got here. I did some research on what the pricing should/would be and Nick & Quinn ended up quoting me right in the ballpark, which I appreciate. They also gave me a heads up when they were coming. They took the time to explain what needed to be done & made some suggestions as to what I needed to look out for in the future. What they didn't do was try to upsell me on unnecessary work/repairs. Staggs is professional, courteous & I'll have no problem recommending them to my neighbors. Our washing machine located in the garage of our 58 year old home, backed up causing an an additional backup in our kitchen sink. Laundry and clean dishes were not happening with this issue. I called Staggs Plumbing based on Yelp reviews and received a call back from April who was very informative and helpful. This was around 1:00pm and a little after 5:00pm, Patrick arrived to access the issue/clog. As suspected, he had to get on the roof with an electric machine to unclog the pipes. Did I mention it was 103 degrees at that point? It was extremely hot to say the least! Patrick didn't flinch. He had to make at least three trips up the ladder on our roof and after meticulous attention to detail and pure hard work and skill he resolved the issue. Patrick was kind, professional and knew his craft well. There was a $325.00 Emergency/Sunday additional fee, but due to our schedules it was well worth it after this experience. I highly recommend Staggs. Patrick and April are awesome! Give Staggs a call and you won't be disappointed. Staggs Plumbing replaced my daughter's leaking water heater and did a fine job, with high quality materials, at a fair price. The job was scheduled and done the day I contacted them. The old cold water supply shut-off would not fully close and they took care of that problem, also. The old overflow pan you can see in the photo is ugly but sound; it just needed a bit of sealant on the exit fitting so we decided I'd do that myself, saving some money and avoiding putting the pan in the trash. I was very pleased with the work and the expertise of the master plumber who did it! A true family business. The next time I need plumbing work done, I'll certainly call Staggs first. read more

Staggs' plumbing customer service is terrible! They kept up charging me while the install was taking place. It started at $4,700.00 and ended at $5300.00. I told 2 different office employees I was driving halfway across the country to my new home and asked if it would be a problem if I paid them when I arrived. They both said, "That's fine," and highly suggested I use their financing. I told them I could pay cash, debit, or credit card, but they were very persistent in using the finance vendor. So I did, and again said I wouldn't be able to sign up for it for 4 days because of traveling. They said, "That's fine" again. They did the work and called and texted me 3 to 5 times a day for 6 days straight! Two of the days were weekend days, and the finance company wasn't open. Everytime they called, they got meaner and nastier on the phone. I paid my bill the following Monday, like I promised in the first place. I don't like being treated like a criminal, especially when it was their idea to go with their financing. The work was done shoddy, and they had to come out on Sunday and fix the new leaking water heater again. I also had mentioned a small drip leak on my washing machine, but they wouldn't fix it until I "paid the bill." Go anywhere else and get better service for your money. read more

Called and sent an email to Skaggs about having some work done. They say response time is one day for an estimate (wrong!). I had to call and remind them of their statement they will get back in one day with estimate. So finally someone calls from Skaggs after my call back to them and he gives me an outrageous price over the phone. I declined. I cannot use a service that is so difficult to deal with. read more

Everyone with Staggs was great. From the first conversation, everyone was quick to respond and on top of all the questions I had. Not only did they provide a competitive quote, but they did the work quickly and with quality. This project was for a bathroom remodel, so there were multiple steps between each inspection (plumbing, exhaust vents, new/multiple water lines, shower pan) and all parties at Staggs did a great job with that as well. At one point in the process something out of everyone's control happened over night, and the guys were here at the crack of dawn to fix the issue. Last point that must be said, given that it's the time of Covid - they were very respectful and courteous with regards to protecting me and themselves. Randy came out and look into my slab leak/plumbing and found no leak on my side of the townhome I live in. He was very nice and answer all my question and on top of that he wasn't brother by me hover around him the whole time. He did a leak detctor test, ran my washer, check main water and shut off valve and also check water pressure. He took his time look into the issue. I had Nicholas and his assistant work on my master shower today and am very pleased. The hot water valve in my 1960s home was original and had deteriorated to where it was no longer shutting completely, causing a constant drip. I had previously talked to a plumber who had told me they'd have to tear into my wall and redo piping to fix the leak. Nick with Staggs quickly disassembled the valve, identified the problem (a worn rubber piece), called the plumbing supply store and had it replaced and back to new within a few hours. I'm very pleased with the minimally invasive approach, the professionalism, and the prompt response to a non-emergency call (next day). From scheduling to paying, everything went really well and I never once felt like I was being up-sold or misled (which is so rare these days). Two technicians came to home for hot water heater estimate. Were advised of size needed, and age of existing. Gave price--highest of 5 we got, but could not tell me brand used, warranty info--basically nothing. $89 charge for nothing. This was the only company that charged! Advised dispatcher of lack of info given--said she would have the manager call me. He never did--would not trust them to do any work. read more

Loved that they showed up in masks as safety is number one right now. They responded quickly and completed the job without a hitch. They came to remove my old faucet and replaced it with my new one, which they did quickly. On side note - They spelled gas coming from my garage and found my hot water heater gas connection was loose and leaking gas. They tightened that up for me. Advising me, it's not always about money but peoples safety. That is a number one in my book. read more

I have used this company multiple times in the past but the customer service has went downhill so much to the point that I have to take to yelp. After the work was finished and paid for (I paid quickly due to our great experiences in the past) I couldn't get anyone to phone me back or provide all the receipts that my insurance company was asking me for. Namely the cost of the inspection to which the receptionist told me "we don't provide a receipt for that". After trying for over a month I've given up. Anything other then a simple cash job I wouldn't use them. read more

Great service! On a Thursday evening, I had a water line bust and begin to pour water into my crawl space. I had to turn off the main water line and spoke to several plumbers for help. Staggs showed up at 8am Friday morning, while other plumbers said they would not be able to help me until Monday morning. The price was reasonable and I had water by 10am. 2 stars for polite representative and quick dispatch. Unfortunately, I was not told about a charge for estimates beforehand. I followed their prompt for "Get a quote" and a fee was not mentioned. Two guys showed up. Were here less than 3 minutes and seemed confused that I only wanted an estimate. They looked at the projects, went out to the truck, and came back in with a reasonable fee (at least for these days with inflated prices) but only then announced that there would be an $89 fee! I agree there should be a fee for their time and gas, but there's no way the 7 total minutes of travel and eval was worth that kind of money. Choosing to go with a more up-front company even tho I will have wasted that $$. Just can't see giving more cash to them after these actions left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Get a price before they come to your house or expect a hefty trip charge before any work is done. I had bought the specialized part that needed to be replaced on an outside faucet. Turn the water off and remove the handle, then line up the parts from the bag and replace the old handle......$265. So I paid him $59 to leave my house. Hope this helps other people. read more

Best thing about them: their honesty! I called them (Randy) and they arrived the same day to take a look at a potential slab leak in my master bathroom (under sink cabinet). I had previously been seen by a plumbing company through my home warranty however their price was very high ($2500), home warranty wouldn't cover much of it (surprise surprise) and I wanted a second opinion. They gave me several options including concrete drilling and going through the exterior wall. There was also a $500 location fee to start with that would help them assess where the leak was coming from and then we could determine best course of action; this would be rolled into the total cost at the end. I agreed to the location fee and they actually found the leak to be on the back wall behind the cabinet and not under. This meant it was an easy ($500) fix and no damage or ripping out the sink cabinet! I really appreciated their honesty. If i have used the other company they could have easily just ripped out the cabinet drilled a big hole, replaced the pipe with a new pipe and then charged $2500. Thank you stagg plumbing! read more

When I turned on my dishwasher this afternoon my tub on the other side of the wall filled with sewage and the water from my toilet leaked completely out from around the bottom of it and filled my bathroom floor, running into my hallway. The smell was atrocious and being there are four adults in our home all day long either working or schooling we needed help quickly. I found Staggs Plumbing online and was so grateful April was able to work us into their schedule within the hour...thank you April! Jonathan Cortez and Juan Mendez were the two gentlemen sent to our rescue! They were both so kind and polite. They explained our situation to us, then quickly went to work fixing the issue. I had an 8am interview this morning for a position with Staggs Plano. I arrived 15 minutes early and entered only to be told that the interview was canceled until further notice. I was dumbfounded!! No text, no email, no phone call.! They rave about their customer service and they treat people like this? I guess GOD was looking out for me today to show me to steer clear of these folks! I hope they are better plumbers than they are employers!! A late review but one I need to give due to the great service provided by Staggs Plumbing. Last year after purchasing my house I had them come to look into issues with the shower controls not turning well. In the process of this, they found that my hot water heater had sprung a leak. They gave me a quote for the replacement as well as the work to replace the shower controls which were 30+ years old. After researching a bit further I went with Stagg's and I am grateful I did so. The replacement for the hot water heater was pretty standard, but the shower controls turned into another ordeal. The hot and cold lines were plumbed opposite of what they should have been. In the end, it took multiple hours of work to get the shower controls installed with the correct plumbing, and they didn't charge me a penny more despite quoting me based on a much simpler job. I can't imagine many other companies would have stuck to their original quote even though they had to spend significantly more labor for the task than anticipated. The hot water heater replacement was also handled excellently including additional safety installations and getting the permit handled. Over 6 months later and all of it has been working perfectly. Very satisfied with the work, and even more satisfied with their fair business practices to not upcharge when faced with a more daunting task. Highly recommend, and I certainly plan to use them again. read more

I had a very easy problem (disconnecting my gas dryer from the gas line) and was happy with their response time and the fact they were able to send someone out within 30 minutes of when I called. My only hang up is the fact I could barely get ANY pricing over the phone. I was just told it was $75 for the diagnosis, but was not provided their hourly rate (as my simple issue was quoted for an hour of work from other plumbers). It was a bit higher than I expected, but was happy with their quick work and the plumber's customer service. read more

Juan and Jonathan showed up on time and located a slab leak under my kitchen cabinet, they removed the cabinet without tearing it up and jackhammered the floor underneath to make repair. They came back and patched the hole and put the cabinet back. Looks like nothing ever happened!! I will be calling them back for future plumbing problems! Make sure you ask for Juan and Jonathan! AWESOME! Over the couple of months, two of our bathroom sinks were gradually draining more and more slowly, and one of the faucets was running very poorly. We contacted Staggs on Friday morning, and they had someone come out Saturday morning (gave us the option of Friday as well). Nicholas, the plumber, came out and examined our sinks and quickly fixed both by cleaning them out and fixed the faucet by changing the faucet aerotor (after trying to clean it). He was very courteous and professional and took time explaining what he was doing and how I could easily try the same if these issues arise in the future. I felt that he was really trying to solve the problem in the most cost effective manner rather than pushing for more expensive treatments. (To put this into context, this was after a different company had recommended hydrojetting our entire system for north of $2600 without even evaluating the pipes). I would 100% recommend Nicholas and Staggs Plumbing and plan to use them for any other issues in the future! (hopefully not any time soon though) read more

The owner / manager really seems to care about his business / customers Full disclosure: I didn't actually use Staggs to do any plumbing work I called Staggs for a quote to fix a leak on the main water line to the house (the leak was created by a different company). I called at 8:30am and they were able to schedule some one to get to my house by around 3pm to look at it and provide a quote. However another contractor I've used before was able to come by 11am and gave me a quote I liked. So I called Staggs to cancel (so as to not waste their time). The owner / manager called an hour later to check into why I cancelled and to make ensure they were not the reason I cancelled. This is not something you see often. To me that showed commitment to their business and their customer. If I need a plumber in the future I will have Staggs on my list. read more
