Mother Modern Plumbing will be the only plumbing service that I'll ever call again. I had been dealing with a shower and washing machine drain stoppage for a while. All other drains were fine and nothing I tried was working to clear the blocked shower and washer drain. This experience with Mother Modern Plumbing was as perfect as it gets. The first thing I noticed when I called was a quality of true kindness.. Gabby took that call and she was great. Even with my complicated schedule this week (medical appointments) she managed to work me into their schedule. She was absolutely excellent. And each of their team members that I spoke with, also had that same quality of kindness. Just genuine NICE people. Willie came over to clear the drain problem and he's an awesome guy. He figured out immediately the best approach to get the clog out. And he showed me the images with a special camera down in the drain. He's by far the most considerate person I've ever had over here. My two dogs were especially bad and barked terrible at him.. and he remained calm, relaxed and pleasant. He even saved one of them out in the street because I had left the gate open. A repair made 23 years ago incorrectly left the toilet flange above the floor eventually breaking the flange and creating a leak that cause our fly infestation. The bathroom was spotless afterwards considering he had to chip out concrete and tile to replace the flange. The photos he provided after the repair showed us it was done properly and by code. The cost was right in line with what Tyler quoted and very reasonable for the amount of work. We highly recommend Mother Modern Plumbing, Sewer and Drain and were thrilled that they are a dedicated plumbing company, not a "we do it all" company. David, a Master Plumber, came to my condo to give me a quote. He then came back the next day with an apprentice to install the toilet and flush the water heater. David answered all of my questions. He and his apprentice installed the toilets. The job was an A+. Here are some of the details: * Plumbing is a high-stakes job in a mid-rise condo such as mine. One leak could destroy multiple floors beneath. * My HOA requires proof of insurance that covers multi-family. AAA Auger had that proof, which is how they got on our approved list of contractors. * David has 40 years of plumbing experience, so he was well prepared to manage the complexities of working in my mid-rise condo. * AAA Auger sent a text message before the visit with a picture of David and his bio. I think that's a nice way to introduce a technician before they arrive. * David easily found the building and parked in the loading dock. I didn't have to call him once before he arrived. What a relief - sometimes this can be hard to explain how to get here. * Along with the new toilets, I purchased an artificial wax ring and some new hoses. David evaluated those, but given the placement of the toilets against the tile, recommended a different wax ring and different hoses. He had the recommended products in his truck. I trusted his judgment and went with his products. * After installing the toilets, David flushed my water heater. * I've gotten my water heater flushed by other plumbers each year for the past three years. Each time, it takes the plumber only 15 minutes. David took 30+ minutes to drain the water heater. I asked why, and he showed me that's how long it *actually* takes to drain all the way. In other words, the previous plumbers were cutting corners and not draining the water heater all the way. * After flushing the water heater, David checked the toilets and found a few drips under the new hoses. He discovered the hoses had a manufacturing defect and replaced the hoses again during the same visit. HIS PROACTIVE APPROACH SAVED ME FROM HAVING TO CALL HIM OUT AGAIN. * The next day, the dispatcher from AAA Auger called me to follow up and see if I had any questions. I told them everything was perfect. * I'm writing this review a week after my service call, and the toilets are working perfectly. There's no leaks on the hoses. The water heater is performing well. * I'm very happy with the service I received from AAA Auger. I would recommend them. * 1 big thing - I paid a pretty penny for the service. It was worth it because of the quality of the install, the experience of the plumber, and the insurance they carry that's compatible with my HOA requirements. * 1 more way to look at the cost: I don't expect to call a plumber to service the toilets for another 10 years. There are a lot of different types of people out there with different types of knowledge and experience and different tools they use, but this should absolutely be your first call. I say that because it was not my first call and I wish it had been. I have a friend who is very plugged into the plumbing industry who recommended another plumber to me. So that plumber, who advertisers leak detection as part of his services as well, came and spent some time trying to localize it. He was here for almost 7 hours, much of which was diagnosing the issue and then doing a couple reroutes. When he left, we knew it was still leaking (probably a 2nd leak, we assumed), but it was late and the issue was seeming fairly complex. Before he came out again a couple days later, I asked Jason to come have a look. He walked in and it took him about 15 minutes to map out the pipes and identify the most likely source of the leak. We spent a little more time reviewing what the other plumber had done and talking about what the next steps should probably be. He was very professional about that process, not just crapping on the other plumber's work or anything like that. He also helped me get the lines labeled so it would be easier for me to know what was what. He clearly cared to see that my issue was resolved. When the other plumbers came back, Jason sent me several text messages with information I could share with them that he knew would be helpful. When it sounded like they were maybe not in alignment, he sent me a lot more information and strongly advised letting him call me so I could get us all on the phone together. I tried my best to be diplomatic about this process because I didn't want anybody feeling like their toes were getting stepped on, but ultimately we got on speaker phone with those guys and Jason explained what was going on. They were a little bit resistant at first and wanted to keep on with their own methods of exploring the situation, but it didn't take long for them to realize that everything Jason had said was true and that his recommended solution was the best course of action. So, ultimately, everybody ended up in agreement, the main difference being that it took Jason -- with his tools and experience -- about 25 minutes to know everything you could want to know. And the most important thing to know about this is that the plumbers I had been using were still good plumbers with decades of experience who I would still not hesitate to recommend. Jason just happens to have a particular expertise doing leaks day in and day out. The other guys were qualified and competent. Jason was just next level. Before they left, they commented that Jason had been really helpful and asked me for his contact information so they could see about using him on some of their jobs. I think that's a pretty damn good endorsement. Anyway, I know there are a lot of options on Yelp if you have a leak, but I don't see any reason to look any further from here.

I came home Friday Afternoon (10APR26) to find a puddle forming in my garage. My water heater of…read moreover 16 years had finally given out. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

I hired Rescue Air & Plumbing in 2023 for routine maintenance on the original AC in our home. What…read moreshould have been a simple visit turned into high pressure sales tactics. They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.
