Tacos tacos tacos! Get'em here!!! Muy delicioso!!! Ok I don't speak the language of tacos, I'm quite unfamiliar to be honest. All I can understand is when food makes my taste buds happy, and these flavors hit the spot for a satisfying lunch last week. On a weekday afternoon around 2pm the customer occupancy at the food court hovered around 15-20% capacity. Office employees grabbing a late lunch, remote workers with laptops, a handful of students and tourists grabbing early afternoon coffee or cocktails. There wasn't a line to order though a few people ordered right after me and there was about a 5-7 minute wait for tacos to be prepped. I didn't have much interaction with the staff since I ordered at the tablet, it was an easy process to select which menu items you want, tacos require a min of 2 tacos. Staff calls your name once the food is ready, appreciate that I was passed my food with a smile. Of the two tacos I ordered, both brought together a thoughtful melding of flavors and textures, and were stacked with protein. The army of meat taco with beef chunks $5.50 was had a flavorful mole sauce paired with a guac "sauce" (a little thinner in consistency than regular guac) that added a good level of moisture. The radish provided a crunch and the cheese a bit of umami. Yum!! The carnitas taco $5.00 the meat was tender, juicy and plentiful, a bit of pickled onion punctuated with a hint of sour and brininess. Pieces of chicharron on top added a crunch. I'd totally recommend both and want to go back and try the shrimp, fish and chicken tacos too! read more

This is a hidden Gem! I honestly did not have super high expectations for this place only because most of the places I've eaten at in a cafeteria/market type setting have been pretty standard. But THIS place blew my tastebuds away. I am SO glad I came here because the food was on point! It's located inside the Olly Market and I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and food. The owner is totally bada$$. The flavors were absolutely delicious I left nothing behind. From the tortilla, the amount of meat they give you and the chips and salsa. I got the steak and pork and the little bits of pork rinds on top was such a good touch! The owner and here colleague were so nice, friendly and I even gave a tip to the cook who made my food. Seriously if you're in NYC you have to eat here if you want some flavor packed tacos. I can't wait to go back! read more

Off the beaten path for us. We stopped at this Mexican food booth in a food court on the west side of Chelsea. The sign says to order using the tablet, but the young man took our order. Mid afternoon on a Saturday there were lots of places to sit. Our food was ready in short order. I enjoyed my carnitas, with rice, beens and a side salad. The blue corn chips added a welcome tasty crunch. I really enjoyed my dish and it was better than expected. This food court was really a sports bar, as the US Open Women's Finals displayed on the big screen. We played a few rounds of pocket billiards and foosball following our lunch. An unexpectedly fun visit. read more

The tacos at this location are very unique. I got their Pjork Carnitas and Army of Meat tacos. the tacos were smaller than I expected but filled to the brim that it was hard to hold in the classic taco hold. Which is fine by me because it was still very filling. Both of the tacos were delicious but I preferred Army of Meat better. the tacos were juicy. I will have to return to try their other unique tacos. read more

There are some super creative tacos here including a like tongue n cheek with chitcharron & plooto chicken with ancho Chile . Sadly chicken was sold out so I got some guac and chips. $13 The chips are blue corn & scrumptious, sadly guacamole was a watered down version and I wasn't a fan. I will try that plooto chicken taco though. read more

I got this place on Uber Eats because the Yelp reviews were great but it's probably because this place is new. I ordered two tacos (1 chicken and 1 pork) plus the enormous quesadilla with steak and all of it was subpar at best. The meat wasn't seasoned well, steak was noticeably overcooked, and the guac was outright terrible. I hope they buy it from a grocery store because if they're making it in house they must be using radioactive or rancid avocados. Maybe it's different in person but I won't get food from here again. read more

Olly Olly Food Hall located on West 26th Street has a Mexican food kiosk that I am in love with. Since this new food hall opened, I have eaten tasty tacos and addictive blue corn chips with guacamole that has zip in it. Now the guacamole has another secret addition that has made it more zesty. Even though I looked at all the other food offerings all I wanted were the pork carnitas. I always ate there and found the chef and line cooks to be friendly and eager to make the finest food. Often I would get an extra box of the superb addictive blue corn chips to nibble at home. However when I got a delivery while on a recovery, I found the quality of the same food to be less than what I had eaten. I won't let this color my next visits there. This food hall is spacious, has plenty of seating, clean restrooms and enjoyable music. Every Friday Ploo stops lunch service at 2 pm as then the chef is preparing for a weekly tasting menu that is held in the evening. read more

Phenomenal. Husband wife duo who lost their jobs in fine dining during the pandemic. These tacos might be the best in Manhattan. I can't stress enough how great the quality of everything here is. We have been eating lunch at Ploo for the past 6 months. The delicious authentic Mexican food is my favorite in Manhattan. Everything from the chips, salsa, tacos, drinks... are incredible. Roxy & Pablo (the owners) are friendly hospitable hosts, alway offering extra sample tastings. The service is very efficient especially for tasty NON fast food. Everything is made from scratch the traditional way. The ambiance in the Starrett Lehigh food court is very relaxing. Can't get enough of this fabulous food. read more

Each taco is cooked to order and served piping hot. The tacos are small and more expensive that other places, but well worth it for the quality of the ingredients. Super TASTY and pretty presentations!!! Not your average tacos place, every thing was cooked to perfection, you can tell the chefs used to work at high end places! Fish taco gluten free, I almost didn't want to get it bc GF is not always good, SURPRISE!!! Super crunchy and juicy!!! Elote off the cob, yummy! Beans came w chips, can't believe it's no meat bc it's fully packed w tasty gravy, Cheek and Tong sooooooo gooooood!!!! I love tacos and hands down ploo is a hidden gem that makes the most delicious tacos I've ever tasted. It's not easy to find but if you're in the Hudson yards , highline or Hudson River area or even beyond , you must come here. The owners are very caring and always ensure that I am satisfied with my food. You can tell they put their heart and soul into this. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be one. Ploo serves delicious meals with quality ingredients. It's my favorite lunch spot because I always feel good after I've eaten here. I usually get the hyperbowl and mint Jamaica drink- it's consistently delicious. The service is always fast and the vibe is always warm and friendly. chicken tacos are delicious, as are the "vegan as a boy" which seem to change depending on what daily vegetables are. they serve monopolio which is one of my favorite mexican lagers (usually only served at tacombi). roxy and her team are very sweet. read more
