Birria meat was kind of dry but flavor was good. It was better with queso because the cotija cheese was also dry. The habanero salsa was very spicy.

I'm pretty sure this is the only place on Earth with a calamari burrito (but don't quote me on that, haha). The menu's super creative, and the vibes are always on point--good music, frozen drinks, and just the right energy. Perfect spot for a quick bite during a night out in Hell's Kitchen.

Omg this place didn't disappoint. The tacos are amazing, I had the steak taco and birria taco and both were chefs kiss, juicy tender and full of flavor. Not to mention the mango margarita is a must the server recommended and it was the perfect recommendation. There is searing everything is made fresh to order and I will be returning.

Excellent taco spot with many varied and pretty creative options. Been a few times and no matter what you get, you can't go wrong. Definitely get the Birria. Carnitas. Nachos with chicken. Ask for all the sauces. Be careful the far red spicy one is sooo spicy. Margaritas are also pretty good!

Once one of my favorite places to get my taco fix from has disappointed me today. My carnitas taco was dry and inedible. The fish taco was also dry. The only saving grace was the Shrimp taco, it was full of flavor. The churros were a good treat. Not sure if I'll order from them again.

Loved it here. I just wish it had more space and toilet paper lol. But it was a busy night and things happen. The tacos were good, the drinks were strong and that's the reason I went. The service was also quick and professional. I'll be back for more late night bites.

We were heading to brunch before our flight but the initial restaurant had a long wait. When we were looking around where we were standing, we were excited to see tacos and a open sign. Us and our luggage were warmly greeted by the staff of two and they made space for us. Its a nice little spot that has an overwhelming number of taco options to choose from. I was excited to see $5 margaritas and a eggs Benedict taco. Both were perfect on this cold snow filled Sunday morning. Because it was only 2 staff members there service was slow but not an issue. We did get our drinks pretty quickly and they were strong . It's a cute divy place i'd definitely return to, we enjoyed ourselves.

Sometimes I come here for the Texas Tacos - they are big, satisfying, and full of flavor. I also like their fajitas. Ordering is quick and the service has been good. There are so many salsa options that it causes analysis paralysis (see pic)

Honestly, I ordered here since I had class pass credits. I didn't think much of it. I even planned on ordering to go. However, upon walking in the vibe was fire. The Spanish music and the vibes were on fire. It made me stay and eat my food at the counter while jamming to the music. It made me feel like I was back in Miami. Also, the burrito bowl was amazing. I picked the lime chicken with cilantro rice and pinto beans. It came with these fried onions on top which were delectable. Food came out very quickly and service was great. Overall, this bowl was like chipotle on steroids and I'm here for it. I saw a lot of happy hour deals and if I wasn't on my work lunch break I would've tried it. Def returning!

Decent neighborhood spot where the quality varies depending on what's ordered. Recommend the tostada bowl, and the beef birria tacos with consommé.

The tacos here were really good, but the place gets extremely packed. It's a small location, so finding a seat can be a challenge. If you don't mind the tight space, the food is definitely worth it!

Can't say enough good things. We walked in past 11:00pm on a Monday night and idk what prompted us to say it was my daughter's birthday and all of a sudden it was a whole to-do with churros a tequila shot and the KINDEST staff at Planet Taco. The food was delicious. But the kindness and love we felt was BEYOND anything I could have ever expected. I mean wow! I would post the videos of everyone singing happy birthday, but my teen might never forgive me, because teens, ya know? Thank you to EVERYONE working 09/23/24 at 11pm for making this birthday the most unforgettable one. Core memories were made tonight thanks to all of you!!!

My friend and I were looking for quick eats and we stumbled upon Planet Taco. They have many options so be ready to want everything on the menu. I got the burrito bowl with carne Asada, my friend got a chicken burrito with all the fixings and both entrees were so good. The portion was great and the food was very flavorful, especially with the provided hot sauces. The only thing was that our birria fries were very crunchy, I wish they were softer. It may have just been the batch we got. The manager also came up to us asking how we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything. I really liked that, shows that they actually care. This place was great, from the staff to the decorations everywhere, this was an enjoyable meal.

This location is convenient to Grand Central, Bryant Park, & Times Square. I was excited to find them after a getting off the Metro North. Unfortunately, the two times that I've eaten there hasn't been great, compared to their other locations in NoHo & Union Square. I'm not sure if the more touristy ambiance & customers makes a difference. First visit got the Pork Adobada Taco ($5-ish). It's similar to Al Pastor (even served with a few pieces of pineapple) but spicy. It's pork marinated in an adobo sauce made from dried red chiles (like guajillo or ancho), vinegar, garlic, and spices. The corn tortilla was very fresh & good but the pork was SO spicy. Some kind of chili oil was drizzled on, in, within, at the bottom. It comes with a sort of green crema. I barely finished - thought it was a joke or something. The second visit I got the Adobada (requested Zero spice) & a Chicken taco. The pork meat was delicious & reminded me of the first time I had Los Tacos No. 1. The chicken seemed like dark meat & was either over-marinated, slightly undercooked, or on its way out? resulting in weird mushy, slightly liver-like consistency. I even picked through the pieces to check for pinkness...the meat was just dark with little flavor. It came with a dollop of guacamole that didn't have much flavor. The corn tortillas also seemed slightly mealy/mushy & underdone. They weren't airy & slightly puffed as usual. I'll probably go back because their location and cost is convenient. But have to make sure the pork has No Spice & not sure how to ask for "done" tortillas. There's always a line at Los Tacos but it moves fast. The condiments & radishes, limes are always fresh. The staff is always pleasant & work quickly customizing your taco, wiping down the All White! hightops & refilling napkins. Don't think there's a restroom FYI.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

The birria tacos were really good (or so my son said) but sadly the taquitos were terrible. They literally just had unseasoned shredded chicken (but serves me right for ordering something so basic). The energy was flat, and that lack of enthusiasm carried right into the food. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
