Another gem in Chelsea/Meatpacking! Located walking SL distance from work. When I'm in the mood for a burrito this is my spot ! My go-to item is the chipotle portobello burrito with add-on guacamole & carne asada and always order a Mexican coke! Ah!

Nacho comparison: top is Electric Burrito ($14 including chicken protein) and bottom is Dos Caminos ($24 no protein)

Nacho comparison between Electric Burrito and Dos Caminos. Electric Burrito was SIGNIFICANTLY better and will be my goto nacho place. Chips were crispy and portion was plentiful and much more worth the price point. Surprisingly the chicken was juicy and not dry. Overall appreciate this place for the quality and value, esp for socal mexican food cravings

OVERALL: I'm not crazy into California burritos, but I think this place accomplishes what it intends. Good but not mind blowing. BURRITOS: Fries in burritos? If you say so. I'm not a big fan of fries inside anything, but it's a thing, I guess. I shared the California Burrito with asada with my boyfriend. I think the pico was the best part of the burrito. I would personally prefer my burrito with lettuce instead of fries -- I think it's lacking that crunch and is really unhealthy with fries. But it suppose it makes it less messy to eat because the fries soak up some of the grease. AMBIANCE: Super casual. Order, they call your number, you sit at one of the counters. Low key. Framed photographs on the walls (of things that kind of relate to California?), which features some exposed brick. SERVICE: Fast, kind. No complaints. VALUE: Fair. $16.65 for a burrito is kind of dumb, but it's NYC and it's 2025. Sounds about right. I prefer Chipotle for value -- and there is one down the street from here. We'll be back to get a breakfast burrito sometime.

I get the California Burrito every time. The sauce is delicious with a little bit of a kick to it, but it's not too spicy. I always ask for extra sauce. It is a large burrito, so you are getting your money's worth. I recommend Electric Burrito to all my friends that visit the city!

I've been to both locations but I personally like the Chelsea location since it is slightly more spacious and within walking distance of the Meatpacking District. But both locations serve some incredible burritos that are quite filling and have the perfect balance of meat (or chicken or shrimp), rice, and sauce. My go-to order is The Johnny Utah Burrito paired with a Mexican Coke. All the burritos they serve are quite massive so do come with an empty stomach or an appetite for these burritos that serve plenty of everything in one burrito. Another plus is that these burritos are neatly wrapped from the tortilla wrap to the double layer of wrapping so if you wish to take this to-go, you'll still have a secure and warm burrito. Based on my many trips to the Chelsea location, the cashiers are very attentive and helpful especially when there is sauce I do not want added to my order. And the service does get a bit backed up due to food delivery orders on top of in-person orders so be mindful of what time you go to this location for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Overall, this location is a fun spot to relax and unwind by yourself or bring a small group of friends to enjoy some burritos inside on cold days or enjoy the warm sun outside by their bench

We ordered via Uber Eats. I got the chicken bowl and my bf got the conga burrito with chicken. It was a decent amount of food, my only gripe was that you can't really customize it like chipotle (e.g. no beans, etc.). The beans that it came with were mushy. It also came with some orange sauce that helped with the flavor. We also got the guac and chips. The guac was pretty fresh! Good portions just wish I could customize it more. Overall it's a solid 3.5.

Delicious food for a decent price and friendly service. Breakfast burritos are fire - highly recommend the lunch burrito.

I've been wanting to try Electric Burrito for quite some time, because I adore San Diego burritos, so I ordered takeout the other night when the fridge was running low. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed. We ordered the california burrito with shrimp and carne asada fries, and the order came out to be about $30. Starting with the burrito, it was a very generous portion and I really enjoyed the fresh tortilla, but biting into the burrito was slightly overwhelming. It just didn't really taste like California burritos I've had in the past. The shrimp was well-spiced, but almost Indian tasting? I quite liked the flavor, but the inside of the burrito was so homogenous - I feel like it could've really benefited from a creamy or fresh element, like some guac. It wasn't a bad burrito, but it just felt very heavy and greasy and the Indian-like spices took me by surprise. I was excited for the carne asada fries, because I used to eat a similar dish back in college, but unfortunately, it also did not live up to expectations. I enjoyed all the toppings, especially the guac (although the carne was a little dry), but the fries were disappointing. They were thin and almost soggy, reminiscent of McDonald's fries that'd been sitting out for too long. I think this dish could've been really good if the fries were hot and crispy. Maybe even a waffle fry? All this is to say, I am still on the hunt for a good San Diego burrito in NYC.The search continues!

Grabbed lunch here one day and had a pretty good experience. The conga burrito with carne asada was delicious and huge. Also loved the chips. The only letdown was the pico de gallo, which was basically like eating a bunch of chopped tomatoes. Fresh, but flavorless. Would recommend the burritos, though!

Very filling burrito and burrito bowls that I can eat over two meals. The staff is friendly and they offer water and seating where you can people watch at the window.

Electric Burrito came recommended from a Californian native that said this is his personal favorite burrito in New York. Original location is in East Village and they have another in Chelsea. I came for Saturday takeout lunch with my boyfriend, and we split the Carne Asada California Burrito ($15) and some chips to go with their salsa ($2.50). Everything was well executed - tender, generous portions of carne asada, and the optimal meat/carb/cheese/sauce/salsa ratio. l liked the burrito's creamy chipotle house sauce and the French fries of course!!! Portions are generous, and we were pretty full splitting a burrito. Only complaint was that the food took a bit, as they seem pretty leanly staffed. Note it is mostly a pick-up/takeout spot but there is still some countertop bar seating.

Pretty decent burrito spot for New York, although being from LA, nothing can compare to socal's Mexican food scene. Ordered the conga burrito with carnitas. Everything went well together and the meat was tender and not dry. The burrito was huge and heavy. Came on a Sunday morning and there was already a small wait.

My electric burrito dream come true! Electric Burrito opened in Chelsea. Bigger than St Marks with perimeter searing. The food here is banging. You taste the love & there's such a great variety of items not often seen like portobellos & shrimp. I had a portobellos burrito bowl which comes with fermented cabbage. It was so bold, fresh & flavorful. Needless to say I will be a regular. Total: $15 with guacamole. Monstrous

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.
