Ordered a meat lovers pizza for a family dinner. Drove home in 7°F weather and opened the box to find a veggie pizza. Drove back immediately. At that point, instead of fixing the situation, I was told "the system shows veggie" and offered a 30-minute wait for a remake after nearly an hour already wasted and a second trip in freezing temperatures. Because of this, my dinner turned into eating leftovers separately instead of eating with my wife. What's truly wild is that neither pizza was refunded. No money back just "credit next time." I won't be back. Last 45$ I spend with this organization. Mistakes happen. Refusing to take responsibility when they disrupt customers' time, money, and plans is unacceptable. I drove 821 miles to try this pizza...... It did not disappoint. My family and I tried the Sweet Heat and Cheese pizzas. Both of them were fantastic; crust, sauce, cheese and toppings were all fresh, tasty and, cooked to perfection. We capped off our meal with the Shirley Lou. I was able to chat with the manager as my order was prepared. The story behind this pizza makes your heart smile. The efficiency and passion that are brought by the workers makes you proud to be from the Midwest. If you are 60 minutes away from any plaza pizza location, I highly recommend you at least try it. Worst case you get some tasty pizza, best case you get to continue supporting a great midwestern family that is doing it the right way!!!! read more

Not sure what is going on there but the pizza quality seems to be slipping. The last two orders we have placed just seemed off. Less pepperoni sauce sweeter and the crust less done thicker is some spots than others almost uncooked doughy in those thick spots. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom and both got very ill with some level of food poisoning "you know all the bathroom fun I'm talking about" I am currently good on ordering pizza for quite a while now and It will probably not be from there anymore. Where to go for delicious pizza? Here of course! This is their second location. We tried their dessert pizza this visit. Ohhh yum! Do yourself a favor and try the apple pizza. Friendly service. Easy to order to go. We stopped by their original location last summer and enjoyed their bbq chicken pizza. We look forward to coming again next time we are in town. read more

We where craving Plaza Pizza and I was in Heath so we decided to order from there. Never again. They had a promotion that you could only redeem via the phone and when I called they basically said sorry about your luck and your $60 order. The woman I spoke to was very rude and extremely unhelpful. I will stick to the original Plaza Pizza on Mt Vernon Rd. I had to wait 20 extra minutes for the order and these people don't seem to care about their customers, no wonder they slow on a Friday night. Lesson learned the hard way. read more

We got pizza from Plaza for a team night while playing a soccer tournament in Newark. The pizza was decent, but I personally was not a huge fan of the crust. I did not go in so I am unable to describe the ambiance. read more

This pizza was by far one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. It was hot fresh and so delicious! We had a small group of people and everyone loved it. We ordered a large BLT (my favorite- so delicious) a large pepperoni and a large meat and veggie pizza. We had all but one piece left! From the ordering (always polite and efficient on the phone and online ordering super easy and convenient) to the pick-up (hot and ready when I'm told it will be and always greeted with smile) to the finished product being totally satisfying. Pizza is good but sauce is very sour. I was not a big fan of the BLT mostly because it has red sauce on it which is not noted in the menu and very non-typical for BLT pizza. Not sure why the menu and specialty pizza is so limited. It would be nice if they offered a kids or personal pizza but they don't. also note- closed on Sundays. read more

Amazing pizza and amazing people that greet you every time I go in! You may have to wait but it is well worth the wait! They work hard and fast to make everything fresh not like your box places! Miss Olivia is the sweetest young lady that runs this shop. Always has a smile and takes pride in every order that goes out her door. I support local business! They by far, are off the charts! LOVE Plaza! Was so happy to hear opening another location. I called to place an order and asked his long the wait would be. The girl said it would take 20 min. I should have known right then that has NEVER happened! I said great, could they be ready in an hour? She said yes. It has now been 1.5 hrs. My husband said they told him they were running behind ! When she initially told me it would take 20 min??? Hopefully they will get the problems worked out. read more

I'm from out of town but have family in the Heath/Newark area. When we are able to get through and order the pizza it's really good. The problem is that it's damn near impossible to get through. NOTHING is worth the headache of ordering pizza regardless of how good it is. They opened a second location in Heath that we had hoped would solve this conundrum however after attempting again today (multiple times as soon as they opened) it appears their business model has not figured out customer service. I would advise patronizing other businesses. read more
