If you're looking for a spot that consistently hits the mark on both flavor and atmosphere,…read moreElliot's Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap is a must-visit. Whether it's a mid-week dinner or a weekend hangout, they managed to nail the "elevated neighborhood gem" vibe perfectly. The Food The star of the show is undoubtedly the wood-fired pizza. You can taste the authenticity in the crust--perfectly charred with that signature smoky finish you can only get from a real wood oven. The toppings are fresh, and the balance of flavors shows they aren't just making pizza; they're perfecting it. On the lighter (but equally delicious) side, the fish tacos are a standout. It's rare to find a wood-fired joint that treats seafood with this much respect. The fish is always flaky and fresh, complemented by bright, crisp toppings that make for a perfect contrast to the rich, smoky pizzas. The Service What truly sets Elliot's apart, though, is the bar staff. The service here is consistently top-notch. The team is incredibly knowledgeable--whether you're looking for a specific craft beer pairing or a recommendation from their cocktail list, they know the menu inside and out. It's the kind of place where the staff makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit. Final Verdict: Excellent food, a great tap list, and a team that actually knows their stuff. Elliot's is easily a 5-star experience.

The food came out fast, which was great. The pizza was decent, and I ordered the meatball sub, which was good and satisfying. It's a nice spot overall, relaxed and easy for a casual dinner. Nothing stood out as a major downside on this visit--just a straightforward, pleasant meal with quick service and solid food.

Update: As a loyal customer at their Johnstown location, I've been ordering from them at least once…read morea week via DoorDash since they opened. Tonight, I found out they charged me $.86 for a packet of mayonnaise for an Italian sub and an extra $1.00 for some red onions on a small salad. In a previous order, I contacted the company via email because I hadn't seen any onions in the salad. The manager responded quickly by sending me clips of their security cameras showing the cook chopping onions and adding them to the salad. I admit there were onions in the salad after stirring it up, but they didn't seem more than the usual amount in a normal salad. It's laughable that the manager took the time to review security footage instead of just refunding the $1.00 charge and saying from now on, that fee will be added. Against my better judgment, I kept ordering, but tonight, I was charged again for the packet of mayo. I spend at least $25 a week there, often more, and these two instances leave such a bad taste in my mouth. While companies are free to charge whatever they want, frivolous charges like these really hurt the relationship for me. Tonight was the final straw with the $.86 mayo charge. I understand that maybe their business is struggling in this economy and maybe they need the money, but I hope it was worth losing so much more. From now on, I'll be using many other pizza places in town!

Both subs were ok. They were heated but not toasted so they were a little soggy. Everything tasted fine but nothing special about it.

I walked in and waited in line for about 15 to 20 minutes, which was not a problem because it was 1 o'clock, and I was not in a hurry. There were people who got tired of waiting and walked out. They had one worker, completing all the orders while one worker checked out customers. When he was not checking out customers, he was bagging chips and eating them. Yes you read that right. When I got to the front and placed my order, he told me they were low on chicken and out of fajita veggies. The guy said the food that they have in the back by the pick up window is for carry out orders. The guy on the grill was just cleaning. He was not cooking anymore. When it came to time to check out, the guy asked me if I would like a drink I said yes he said what size. I proceeded to go over to fill my cup and there's no lemonade or any of the fresh drinks. I go back to the checkout and I asked the guy about the lemonade and fresh drinks he said oh yeah we're out of that too. You don't think you should've lead with that I'm asking me if I want a drink? I was patient with this place when they first opened because I know it can take some time to find the right people and just learn the flow of customers. Improve on everything!

We came at 6 on a Friday, and there were several parties but it wasn't busy. Only one server it seemed, and she was busy but kept up on things, with some help from the manager and other staff. Nice to see management jumping in and actually helping. They had a special St. Patrick's Day menu for the weekend, and everything on there looked good. Sweetie went with fish and chips, and they were pretty good. A little overcooked maybe, at least the batter, but the fish was tender and it was all tasty. K had cheese pizza, and fries. Decent kids menu, and decent food. A coloring menu and crayons are always nice. I had the corned beef and colcannon, and it was excellent. Loads of meat, with a sweet and savory sauce. Lots of perfect colcannon, with potatoes/parsnips/cabbage/leeks. Yum. They had a mix-up and started that late, so they gave us a free dessert. They also all looked good, and we went with the cherry bread pudding, which was excellent. Bread was many mini loaves, good enough to hold you till the app. Which I forgot about: Sweetie and I shared Brussels sprouts. Very good, with shaved parm on top. We all had leftovers (of the entrees, not the sprouts) for lunch the next day. Service was great, the setting is nice. Several seating options, including igloos in the courtyard. We also had breakfast here, free with vouchers from staying in the hotel, and it was a step above the usual hotel breakfast. Same kind of items, but better quality. AYCE, for $15 if you're paying separately, and though of course you pay one way or another it was worth it. We'd definitely come back. Really only came because it was handy, but way better than expected, and part of a nice stay at the hotel.
