my husband is from Etna and has eaten this his whole life. This time the large is smaller. there is no X-Large anymore. the onions on the pizza are chopped not slivers. 5-31-2026 We ordered 2 sub tubs for $21.00. What a waste of money. the sub tub consist of a handful of lunch meat, skimpy lettuce , cheese and tomatoes served COLD! 2 sub tubs came with 1 pack of dressing. This was the worst y meal ever. I grew up with this place, Joe never forgot my order in 20 years, these new people are 2 for 2 on never making orders. 3d time we've ordered from them once when we 1st moved in Pataskala sat inside is was great last 2 times with them with 2 different owners and the quality has fallen drastically off this time I had a pickup time of 6510pm something in kitchen messed it up plus they were overwhelmed with orders so it took till 725 pm to get ours redone hoping to get the refund tomorrow thin crust was so flimsy had to air fry it to crispt it up a bit more need more help better training or shut it down read more

We are visiting family here in Ohio, who regularly get pizza from here, so I got some additional insight. Food all looked pretty good, but the cheese had a lot of browning on it. Didn't taste burned or anything, but maybe using cheap shredded cheese with a lot of anticake in it? The salad was good, seemed pretty fresh, as did the vege toppings that we had in the pizzas. The crusts were a bit odd, and tasted cardboard like. The sauce is also pretty sweet. Nothing terrible, just a little off. My in laws commented that it had been a while since they got pizza there and they thought the sauce and crusts had changed from the usual. I've been going into this pizza shop for over 30 years and this place used to be the best place around to get a high quality and very tasty pizza. Unfortunately the previous long time owner sold this place a few years ago and since then the quality has gone down the tubes. We decided to try a pizza again this evening after over a year of not eating there. Unfortunately the pizza is not the same and not in a good way. The ingredients are cheap and the pizza is not good. The new owners need to get back to the basics of what this place used to be. It will be a long time before I waste any more money there. read more

2.5 stars. Pizza was just ok. Tasted like there were additives and preservatives in the sauce or something. Just average. Sub was just ok too. A lot of bread, didn't seem like the ingredients were fresh. Was runny and wilted like it was reheated or in the oven as a complete made up sub rather than just the bun. read more

The pizzas are great, although a little pricy. In all honesty, I'd give this spot 5 stars if it weren't for the nasty attitudes of everyone who seems to work here. For a mom and pop pizza place, you'd think they'd care about relationships with their community and maintaining returning customers. My family has never even been smiled at by the people running the restaurant. Every time we've placed an order over the phone, they've answered in single word responses. "What?", "K.", "Fine.", etc. and when we arrive to pay, they behave in the exact same way. If you don't want to work at a pizza place, quit. No one is forcing you to stay open, and your customers shouldn't be treated like they're inconveniencing you when they're giving you their money. It's just rude, and the long list of reviews stating the exact same thing make it clear that this family doesn't care about anyone or anything but overcharging on pizza. Imagine how much more business they would do if they simply made an effort to treat their customers with common courtesy. Many times we've gone to Massey's or even Donatos because being glared at and talked down to is the last thing you want to do when picking up dinner on a Friday night. read more

I've lived in Pataskala for over 30 yrs. Have always ordered from you. I don't know if it's me but the taste isn't the same. Ordered some subs today and the taste is definitely different. I overheard a talk at school last week about the same topic. As for the subs today, less meat I thought and barely dressing and it didn't taste the same. Great mom and pop pizza joint! The pie is loaded with fresh toppings, the crust is crunchy and cooked well, the garlic bread is typical for a joint like this. For me, the star of the show was the bacon vinaigrette dressing! It is served warm, and paired with the greens on the salad, they are terrific! I've only had one other that compares to this! 3 stars for the pizza, an extra one because of the dressing! read more

I tried Capuano's pizza in Pataskala. I'm new to the area and was looking for a good pizza that wasnt a huge chain. It looked good but I was not impressed at all. The lady I believes name was Chris that worked the counter wasn't a friendly person at all. She rolled her eyes and was very short and crabby, was only friendly with the regulars she knew. I stood in line an extra 20 minutes longer than the 40 minute time I was given. I honestly won't be running back out anytime soon to get a pizza there or if at all. Longest serving pizza place in Pataskala and I understand why! If you are looking for a legit St.Louis/Tavern style pizza, this is a pretty solid choice. Had to wait longer than expected for 1 pizza pie and an Italian sub; however, on their counter they have a notice to customers about the possible delay due to being short on staff. Ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and banana pepper pizza - they were definitely generous with the toppings and every inch was covered, edge to edge. Italian sub was pretty good as well, nothing lacking but nothing that made it truly stand out. Overall a great place and will be back. read more

I wasn't sure what to think of this place since there were many mixed reviews. So after trying it, I really liked it! Capuano's and Pizzaroni's are definitely the top two pizza spots in Pastaskala in my opinion. The crust had a nice crisp and I liked the sweeter sauce. I was first introduced to Capuano's Pizza about 30 years ago when I used to have family in the Pataslaka area. They have all long since moved away, but I still make sure to stop by Capuano's for a pizza anytime I am in Ohio. I don't care how far out of the way it is for me, it's simply mandatory that I make the trip. The pizza comes out cheesy with a sauce that is sweet and just the right consistency. The pepperonis are small and thick and form these delightful little bowls of salty grease that you just can't help but to lick out as you take each bite. The side salads are great too. There's no beer and no fountain drinks, canned pop is the beverage of choice here. The dining room is very small, maybe a half dozen picnic tables. So you may have to get it to go when it's busy. For me, it's well worth the 11 hour drive for this pizza. There just isn't anything better! read more

I grew up in Pataskala, but live in Los Angeles now and EVERYTIME I come home it is a requirement that I go here. My life is an endless search for a pizza like this, but I just can't find it. Perfect sauce. Perfect cheese. And the perfect pepperonis that curl up and trap that glorious grease inside. It's not NYC style. It's not deep dish. It's its own glorious style. Parlor style? Well i done it again. thought it was safe. Last Friday i went and tried Capuano's again. It was very good. the pizza and subs were perfect. I thought well maybe after 4 years they improved, or change something or someone. NOPE! today i pick up the same order. granted the subs were good, but done the waiting game today. I was there in time but was told 3 to 4 minutes. 10 minutes later it was time. Got the pizza home. well they got me. Burnt on one side. Sauce was dried up, probably from being in to long. Crust was like a stale cracker but harder. apparently they should of pull the pizza out when i walked in the door. Its a toss up of what you're going to get. I also read that others are playing the waiting game as well. I agree on the customer service. they treat people differently. well time to break away for good. read more
