Cold "sesame" noodles are slopped with peanut butter, no hint of sesame. We keep going back, keep trying to give them another chance...this latest take-out experience was the last straw. My husband ordered his usual favorite, orange beef, and was pretty disappointed in the tough and gristly meat. He ate perhaps three pieces, then put the rest in the fridge since it was so late in the evening. Next day, he called to discuss with the owner; she offered to return the entire cost of the WHOLE meal if he would bring down the remainder of the meal that he didn't finish. He told her he eaten a few pieces and said all he wanted was the cost of his one dish reimbursed as a credit, and we would dine in next time. He made the 20-minute drive down to return the remainder of the meal in question; she looked in the container and clucked her tongue at him and said he had eaten most of it, she would not reimburse anything. Utterly humiliating way to treat lifelong customers. We're done.

The food was ready in under 10 minutes. The portion of food was a good amount. The lo mein noodles (light yellow) were soft and slightly overdone which had minimal vegetables (carrot & cabbage) and tender soft shrimp (cleaned). The lo mein dish had an unusual sweet taste. The pork fried rice (light tan) was decent, which had a mix of soft firm rice, egg, and tender roast pork cubes. The chicken teriyaki sticks were sweet tasting on the outside and the boneless chicken was chewy consisting of some yellow chicken fat, which I needed to trim off before eating. Overall, the lunch was filling, the price was reasonable (for lunch), and fairly decent and not bad. I may be back in here for lunch. NOTE: No checks accepted, but they accept MC and Visa.

As for the Pork Fried Rice, overall it's got good flavor, can be a little dry from time to time and usually color wise it looks pretty dull but definitely a good option if you're not a fan of white rice. The Chicken Teriyaki is consistently good, it's always tender, moist and flavorful. Overall, although I'm not familiar with all of their food I'd definitely recommend going and trying it yourself!

We came expecting a pleasant dinner based on the restaurant's reputation. Unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment. We waited more than an hour for our food. With four young children and a baby at the table, this was extremely difficult, particularly because there was no meaningful explanation or apology for the delay. Two adults ordered burgers that tasted distinctly sour. After they had finished eating, we noticed several other tables returning burgers to the kitchen. We cannot know the reason, but seeing several other guests apparently returning the same dish was certainly concerning. We were already exhausted by the long delay and simply wanted to leave. What made the experience even more disappointing was the restaurant's response afterward. Rather than immediately posting a negative review, I contacted the owner, Nick Matush, directly and explained what had happened. When he did not respond, I sent a polite follow-up reminder. There was still no response. We therefore gave the restaurant every reasonable opportunity to address our concerns privately before writing this review. Unfortunately, the experience left us with the impression that neither the service nor the customer's concerns were taken seriously. For visitors coming to Vermont and expecting a memorable meal, our experience was the opposite. A major gap between reputation and reality. Disappointed is an understatement.
