Chat.. why is there an orbeez in my potato's.. There were multiple.

My onion rings were cold, seat was ripped, Orbeez in my mashed potatoes. The waitress was caught staring at me through the glass and when i looked at her.. gone!!

Post Covid. Food and service back to normal. No mask required. Inside seating. The trick is to go early when the food is freshest. Salad items always fresh. Lots of meat dishes and plenty of variety to choose from. No it is not the best Chinese food but it's inexpensive and the only buffet in town. Plenty of Keto friendly dishes to choose from.

Food was delicious, but there were no knives! So it made it a little difficult to cut my food but I made it work. We'd go back again.

Got takeout there once. It was dry as if it had been sitting on a buffet table all day long. I never went back and never will.

I stopped for a lunch break at Ming Cheng on Pleasant Street, just south of the downtown area…read more Ming Cheng serves up the standard Chinese dishes, appetizers, and chef's specialties for takeout or dine-in. The prices here are pretty good, most items are priced under $11 with a few special dishes $11.05-$13.75. 25 Daily Combination Platters served with choice of rice and choice of one appetizer are offered for lunch ($5.55-$6.15) and dinner (after 3PM $7.45-$8.05). This is the typical order at the counter Chinese restaurant with self serve booth seating for eating in. The temperature in the dining/waiting area was on the very warm side. The kitchen area is not open, but visible through the revolving door. For takeout, I ordered the Lunch Combo 4: Shrimp Lo Mein with Pork Fried Rice and 2 Chicken Teriyakis. The food was ready in under 10 minutes. The portion of food was a good amount. The lo mein noodles (light yellow) were soft and slightly overdone which had minimal vegetables (carrot & cabbage) and tender soft shrimp (cleaned). The lo mein dish had an unusual sweet taste. The pork fried rice (light tan) was decent, which had a mix of soft firm rice, egg, and tender roast pork cubes. The chicken teriyaki sticks were sweet tasting on the outside and the boneless chicken was chewy consisting of some yellow chicken fat, which I needed to trim off before eating. Overall, the lunch was filling, the price was reasonable (for lunch), and fairly decent and not bad. I may be back in here for lunch. NOTE: No checks accepted, but they accept MC and Visa.

I usually get the same thing, General Tso's Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and two Chicken Teriyaki sticks. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the Chicken on here, so I'm going to put my two cents in. As someone that gets it regularly I quite enjoy it, the sauce is definitely thicker than a lot of other places but it doesn't really bother me that much, it still tastes great! As for the Pork Fried Rice, overall it's got good flavor, can be a little dry from time to time and usually color wise it looks pretty dull but definitely a good option if you're not a fan of white rice. The Chicken Teriyaki is consistently good, it's always tender, moist and flavorful. Overall, although I'm not familiar with all of their food I'd definitely recommend going and trying it yourself!

An unexpected pleasure for lunch today. Stopped in for the first time while visiting from out of…read morestate. My guess is that the chef trained in NY. The first clue was the Cold Sesame Noodles appetizer that we tried. A generous portion and as close as I have had, to Chinatown taste. The hot and sour soup was served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen to be heated, but once it was hot it was as good a soup as I have had. Egg rolls were crispy and crunchy and we all enjoyed them but the Duck Sauce was very watery. That could be improved. We had shrimp with lobster sauce which couldn't have been any better. Wonderful flavor and huge fresh shrimp. The boneless ribs were the star of the show. Big meaty chunks of pork rib piled high on the plate. Every table around us ordered them. Sweet and charred crispy, they are a must have! The fried rice was NY style with bits of pork and a hint of vegetables mixed in. I would have given Joy Wah 5 stars for the food but our waiter was just a little bit below par. We ordered several dishes to share but never were offered plates to share with. When we asked for to go boxes he bought us boxes too small for amounts of food on our plates. And he had his face in his phone the entire time we were there. If he paid more attention this would have been a 5 star review.

My family and I have eaten here for more than twenty years, since the Han family owned it. They ran it as though their customers were members of their own family. The food was always top-notch back then. More recently, the meat dishes tend to be tough and nearly indistinguishable from one another. Cold "sesame" noodles are slopped with peanut butter, no hint of sesame. We keep going back, keep trying to give them another chance...this latest take-out experience was the last straw. My husband ordered his usual favorite, orange beef, and was pretty disappointed in the tough and gristly meat. He ate perhaps three pieces, then put the rest in the fridge since it was so late in the evening. Next day, he called to discuss with the owner; she offered to return the entire cost of the WHOLE meal if he would bring down the remainder of the meal that he didn't finish. He told her he eaten a few pieces and said all he wanted was the cost of his one dish reimbursed as a credit, and we would dine in next time. He made the 20-minute drive down to return the remainder of the meal in question; she looked in the container and clucked her tongue at him and said he had eaten most of it, she would not reimburse anything. Utterly humiliating way to treat lifelong customers. We're done.
