Our first time there. I have friends who love going there so we wanted to check it out. We went for lunch with friends and they had great lunch items to "pick 2 for $8.99. I stopped by Players Grille in Mandarin for takeout while running errands. My boyfriend went with the Chicken Tender Platter, which comes with fries and your choice of sauces. He picked Sweet Chili and Teriyaki. I ordered mozzarella sticks and the Black Bean Burger with fries. I placed the order through Toast, which was their online ordering option. When ordering, we realized the tender platter didn't list how many tenders were included, which made it hard for my boyfriend to decide between the tenders or wings since the wing quantities were clearly listed. I tried calling the restaurant to ask, but the number seemed to be out of service. We took a chance on the tenders and unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing. The platter came with just three small tenders and a small portion of fries....for $15.49. The tenders were basic, nothing special but the fries were actually pretty good. My meal didn't hit the mark either. The black bean patty was really dry and the burger didn't have any sauce or condiments, so I had to add my own just to make it edible. The mozzarella sticks were good, but $10 for five pieces felt a bit steep. Overall, it wasn't the best experience and since it's a bit of a drive from where I live, I probably won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I went to Players Grill today on San Jose in Mandarin for a pickup order. Once again I was very satisfied with the food. The hangover burger is awesome but we also had the smash burger and buffalo chicken wrap. If you haven't tried this neighborhood spot yet, I'd recommend it for a simple meal in a sports bar type of atmosphere. read more

My first visit to the Players Grille in Mandarin was a delightful and pleasant visit. Friendly greetings from staff upon arrival and a great choice of some of my fav non alcoholic beers ready to enjoy. Special shoutout to the bartender Meghan for excellent customer service and making my lunch experience a great one. I ordered the "Build Your Own Burger" special today and was amazed on the quality and taste of the platter. I chose the sweet potato fries as my side and enjoyed it all. Burger was tasty and all the toppings were deliciously fresh. Seating was comfortable and the dining area was clean and spacious. Televisions throughout and great music being played topped off a very nice lunch outing for myself. I look forward to many more future visits! read more

I stopped here for a late dinner on a Thursday night to also watch TNF game. This was my first visit and it was exactly what I wanted. My server, Chloe, was a very nice young lady who made sure everything about my experience was complete. Her attitude was outstanding. Draft Modelo was very cold in a large pint glass. I started with Potato Skins. They were plentiful and delicious with lots of bacon and cheddar cheese. They were excellent. I ordered a build my own burger. Served on a nice brioche bun with LTO was a nice large fresh patty cooked to order. I added bacon, Swiss, and mushrooms with a side of onion rings. Put a couple of those rings on the burger which competed the burger I had in mind. I thoroughly enjoyed this burger. This place is super clean. The TVs were outstanding in size and great reception. The audio was very clear and clean to listen to the game and at a volume comfortable. So... first time was excellent. Service, food, and cold beer worthy of a return visit. read more

We tried this spot out and it had a fun atmosphere with karaoke but the pepperoni pizza we had left a lot to be desired. I thought the boneless wings were okay but something needs to be fixed with the pizza. The service was great and my friends and I had a great time regardless. I would be willing to go back for another try but would not recommend the pizza. read more

Very clean and nice inside, you can definitely tell it's been newly remodeled. The bartender Shawn was our server and he was great, very friendly and attentive. This is definitely a watering hole/sports bar WITH food rather than what I would consider a "good restaurant" (note the Kraft Mac n Cheese on the menu lol.) I was really craving some good hot boneless wings, and these didn't really hit the spot. I'm sure the classic wings are probably much better but I don't like eating off the bone. The BW were standard frozen basically chicken nuggets, but my larger complaint is that there's no truly hot sauce... I got the "hot" and I would hate to taste the mild! The cheese fries were tasty and I appreciated the fresh rather than pickled jalapeños. My fiancé's build your own burger was good and he liked the sweet potato fries (not pictured.) I'm sure we will be back for watching sports and I'll be trying a sandwich or something different. read more

This place sucks. Walked in there at 1 o'clock in the afternoon to watch the football game and the bartenders got rap music blaring so damn loud. Asked to listen to the game and Bartender gave me attitude. I told him nobody wants to listen to his fucking rap music. Paid for my beer and walked out. Never be back. read more

Worst experience ever! After waiting for close to an hour for our server to take our food order, we finally got up and left. Waitress kept blaming other customers for "talking too much" as her reason for not coming back to serve our table. We won't ever come back to this place again! read more

First time trying this place out. When we arrived we were sat immediately and the waitress was cool. Place was friendly and clean. It was karaoke night so the entrainment was at times, comical. Fun place to hang out and unwind. Plenty of drink specials. We ordered a pizza and some boneless wings. Didn't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. Definitely not the best food I have ever had but I wasn't there for a 5 star meal. read more

Not a bad place to listen to live music. It was average. The drinks are weak and the boneless wings were awful. They had a weird texture. Mystery meat I think. We had a great waitress and the service was fast especially considering how busy they were. You have to get there early tomorrow get a parking spot and a table. read more

Charged my daughter for a drink even though she ordered the kids meal. When I brought it to the waitress attention, she didn't offer to take it off. She said that she gave her a bigger drink. The kids drink is the same size btw. Food was average at best, and the restaurant was near empty. This was a Saturday about 12pm. Service was ok, but not going back there. read more
