The M Shack is colorful with a little humor and specializes in milkshakes and smash burgers. Nice outdoor patio. Ordered at the small front counter several single and double bacon egg smash burgers with a side of french fries. Pretty good flavor with decent prices, but not too different than other smash burger places. The gender neutral bathroom was modern and clean with black tile floors and a few orange accents. read more

Waited in the patio while the family ordered but took a look at the bright walls inside. I wanted a loaded single smash burger but when I unwrapped it I had a double smash so glad it was a screw up somewhere. Burger was big and sooooo juicy and did not want to share the fries. Smash pattys have so much more flavor than BK or McDonalds funny I'm saying that. read more

Great experience all around. Sat at the bar and Phoebe came up asked us our names and introduced herself. Before we go any further, Phoebe was a rock star! She took very good care of us and kept the drinks coming. My wife got the burger, because that's the go-to comfort food at M Shack... she shared a couple bites... loved it. I got the chicken tenders... before you laugh about getting chicken tenders at a burger place, listen up. They were some of the best tenders I've had in the area. The breading was very tasty and had a perfect crunch... the chicken was moist and tasty. We both got the tots (extra crispy). Yum! I got the ranch and the Thai Chili dips. We talked with Charlie, who was very patient with all of our questions. There was a table near us where mom, dad and the three kids were having a nice family dinner. The kids were enjoying their food, but got half of it on the chairs and floor. When Jackson was cleaning up the mess I said they made a pretty good mess. He said, that's OK, they were having a good time and that's all that counts. We also enjoyed talking with Jackson, but he did have one problem... he is a Chicago Bears fan. Nobody's perfect. First time visiting this location and I will definitely be back! Ordering was very easy with the cashier. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with the sweet potato tots! The food came out so fast by our great server Aslan. He checked on us a few times throughout the night. So friendly! Sandwich tasted so good! Chicken wasn't dry at all. It came with lettuce, tomato. Came in during lunchtime on a Sunday. Pretty busy but were able to find seats for two. They told us upfront that the wait for food would be at least 16 mins. We both ordered the M shack burger, added jalapeños and onions. Also ordered the hot fries with an aioli sauce. Burgers were delicious, cooked to perfection. Slight charred flavor, which I loved. Very juicy. The fries were OK, wish the sauce came on the side as it wasn't my favorite.. but the fries came out crispy. I didn't mind the spicy powder that were on top. We've been to Shack a handful of times since we moved to the area, and it always hits the spot. Their smashburgers are consistently tasty. Sometimes assembly is a little haphazard, but the quality is always there. The bratwurst is good - I wish they had spicy/brown mustard for it. Our toddler is a big fan of the kids hot dog and the kids grilled cheese. As far as sides go, the tots are the best. The fries are good. The onion rings are the only thing that's a little hit-and-miss, but when they're good they're great. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and fast, both in-house and if you order to-go. Let me start by saying that I really like M Shack and I am sad that they are down to one location now. So, when some friends from out of town stopped in and wanted to grab lunch, I recommended this location as it was close to their St Augustine/ Ponte Vedra vacation rental. Upon arrival, I noted that the restaurant was empty and that there was no one at the host stand. Someone yelled from the kitchen that they would be with us shortly. A few minutes later, we were greeted by our enthusiastic but harried host who was clearly doing double duty. I ordered the breakfast all day burger (burger, cheese, sunny-side up egg, hash brown and shack sauce on a bun) with onion rings. My friends ordered the apple sauce and the totchos (tater tots with nacho style toppings). Upon being seated at a small table, I had to ask the host to turn down the overhead music bc it was too loud and we could not speak at a reasonable level. He agreed and quickly fixed the problem. They also have bar seating. After a short time, our food arrived (brought by the host who was doing double duty) and everything was well cooked and looked visually appealing. My burger was amazing same great M Shack burger I remember and my friends remarked that the house made apple sauce was fresh and the totchos were crispy and filling. I also noted that my burger and rings came in a basket and the totchos came in a nice ceramic bowl. A step up from the paper products I am used to in the past. As I mentioned, the only person serving us was the host and the only other person I saw in the dining area was the bartender who was more interested in getting drinks from the Coke machine than helping out the busy server/ host. Note, most burgers come as a double patty smash burger but if you have a smaller appetite you can request a single patty. Great meal provided by a short staffed crew. read more

We come to this location 1-2 times a month and have always had a great experience with food and service. The food is always good - my favorite is the kale salad topped with a burger patty. The staff is very friendly! We happened to come for my nephew's birthday and the staff gifted him a card with shake tokens, stickers and tattoos. The food was reasonably priced very tasty - had the chicken tenders, tots and spiked M-shake. Service was great - Kurt was at the door to greet us and assist with ordering - he was very patient, pleasant and so helpful. Whats better than milkshakes? Nothing. Except for maybe milkshakes with alcohol in them! When I found out that M shack serves moonshine infused shakes, I knew I had to give them a try. I elected to sit at their bar which has an open window connecting to their outdoor patio. They seemed to have a great beer selection and the bar was packed on a Sunday afternoon. You can do food service here as well or just some afternoon booze. For me, well the "salted caramel apple" shake was calling my name which is made with apple pie moonshine, caramel drizzle, vanilla ice cream, all topped with whipped cream. The shake is thick, creamy, and you can really taste the moonshine as it has chunks of apple in each sip. How delicious would these be on an beach day?! I might have to order them to go and put a few of them in my cooler l next time i'm at the Nocatee beaches! read more

The staff were nice and chatted with us a bit, suggested food. The food was good, I had the Hawaiian burger and it was good but did not have enough pineapple. I only had 2 bites with pineapple. That sucked. The burger itself was good though. The freestyle soda machine had a lot of grey spots where they ran out of the drink, but luckily they had my drink so that was ok. Also got the loaded tots, it comes with queso but barely. It was a bit dry, wish there was more queso so it wouldn't be dry. The tomatoes on top didn't help. This place was adorable I loved the open indoor outdoor concept. The banana shake was amazing I don't think I took pictures of my food bc we were starving but it was so good. I had the bratwurst with peppers and the boys had the m smash burger with truffle fries. Service was great Penny was fantastic she's such a delight. That's a tasty burger! I got the bleu cheese, bacon, bbq burger cooked rare and it was wonderful. They cooked it perfectly, seasoned it correctly and it was so juicy. The woman who helped me (blonde young woman) was so helpful and friendly. I mentioned it was my first time and she walked me through the menu. She was great. The restaurant was nice and clean and quiet since it was 1 on a Monday. The chairs could have been more comfortable, but that's a minor quibble. I just started working in the area, so I'll certainly be coming in from time to time. read more

Great place to sit at the bar and get a premium burger without a fuss. Don't forget the Totcho's for your appetizer or side - like nachos, except on tater tots! Yumm! Sunrise Burger has a fried egg, the Not Avg Bacon Burger has thick slices as advertised, and the Mshack Burger is a better than usual cheeseburger. First, let me preface this review with I LOVE a great burger. What's there not to love (when they're made right): Fresh, doughy, and airy bun, juicy, flavorful, and delicious burger, and ooey gooey, rich cheese, makes for one delicious burger. Ok, my description of a delectable burger is complete, but that being said, I've visited most of M Shack's locations. This one in Nocatee was a convenient location for my family, so we opted to stop here for dinner. I normally get my regular: Asian burger, no slaw, extra sauce on the side. Am I a creature of habit at some establishments? You bet. So everyone in my party got something different: Nugget got a hotdog and fries, with a fancy water (i.e. sparkling water, because he's fancy), my sister got a sammie: BLT grilled cheese, my mom got an M Burger, and my dad being petite man he is (seriously, he is) got two burgers: Two M Burgers, and we also got a large order of fries to share. The girl at the counter taking our order was SUPER friendly and just all around lovely. She smiled and was patient, because folks, sometimes when my family is around it can be a bit of a circus with all of us ordering (nothing against people who like circuses). We can be a bit disorganized and change orders mid-sentence. She did a great job keeping track of everyone's order and was super patient. Kudos to her! We all got our drinks and opted to sit outside. In less than ten minutes are order was out. It wasn't super busy at this location. Most people were sitting outside and by most, I think there were two or three tables of people seated outside. Our meals came out and everything was right. The one negative comment I have about the whole experience was the fries were not warm. They were actually lukewarm, which is a real bummer. If you're a burger place, you really need to deliver on two things: 1. burgers 2. fries. My burger was perfectly cooked. Juicy and super flavorful. I also got two extra sides of the sauce I love so much, so definite bonus points. When the server came back to check on us, we mentioned the fries were pretty cold. He said he'd go to the back and get us some fresh ones. He delivered on that. About 5-7 minutes later, we got super piping hot fries. Nuggest LOVED his hotdog. He gobbled it all up, minus the bun. Maybe this week in toddler-hood he's on the Adkin's diet? Who knows, I'm just happy he ate something besides a slice of cheese and a yogurt. He also managed to eat a majority of his fries. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their meals, so that's good to hear.
