Within minutes of us being seated, every outside table filled up, and I watched Ty handle all of them without missing a beat while still taking care of people coming through the front door. I don't have that kind of patience. Hell, I would've quit halfway through my shift. Through all of it, Ty stayed friendly, never looked annoyed, never rushed us, and never made anyone feel like they were a burden. That's rare. People are quick to complain when service is slow, but sometimes it's because one person is carrying the weight of an entire restaurant. If that's what's happening here, management needs to recognize what they've got. Ty deserves every compliment he gets, and if anyone has earned a raise, it's him. I tip well. Really well. Ty earned every dollar of it, and then some. If you get him as your server, take care of him. He's taking care of damn near everybody else.

I did notice and liked the art on the wall and knew I'd find it a nice place to visit during CFB and the NFL season. With all that said, I also found the service here to be solid. Our destination was Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill, a place we had found once before completely by accident while searching for a boat rental location. That first visit left a strong impression on us, so arriving this time by water made the experience even more memorable. Pulling up by Sea-Doo was an adventure in itself. We got our first real chance to test out the bumpers, managed to get docked, grabbed our dry clothes from the watertight compartment, and headed inside feeling like we had already earned our first drink of the day. We chose a table out on the deck near the live band, which turned out to be the perfect spot. The music was phenomenal, the view of the boats added to the atmosphere, and the bit of shade over our table was a welcome bonus on a warm Florida day. It had exactly the kind of laid back waterfront energy we were hoping for. The drinks set the tone right away. Their rum drink is one we would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys a beachy cocktail with a tropical feel. Our friends also had the Bam Bam shrimp, which looked fantastic and earned rave reviews from the table. What makes Mavi especially appealing is that it feels a little hidden, like one of those places you almost have to know about to find. That only adds to its charm. The drinks are strong, the food is satisfying, the atmosphere is lively, and the waterfront setting makes the entire experience feel like an occasion. For us, this visit was about more than lunch. It was the first stop in what we hope becomes a long series of waterfront adventures by Sea-Doo. Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill gave us exactly the kind of experience we were looking for, relaxed, fun, flavorful, and just a little more special because we arrived by water. But it was more like she was telling us and didn't ask before hand and didn't even let us answer. She sat the receipt down and just walked out as we were answering. We planned to have 3 different checks because we were going separate ways. I called the manager over and he fixed it immediately and apologized for that. The first pitcher was dry before the waitress asked if we needed another. The person whose birthday we were celebrating ordered their meal first and got their food last (by quite a bit, half of the party was done eating already). And when they brought his food out, it was the wrong order. He went up to let us know it was wrong (because our waitress was missing) . He could see his order in the counter, but was told that order was a mistake and he received the right thing. We had two orders at the same table with one very small difference (an ingredient missing on one) and the two were blatantly different. Between slow service, wrong orders, and no accountability this place seriously disappointed tonight. It's a shame, in my opinion they were one of the best wing spots in the area, but they have obviously let their quality control drop.
