STARTING 3 SAMPLER
Shane S.

This visit to Miller's Ale House was the second time my wife and I have eaten here and we love it. We absolutely love the starting 3 sampler.. the egg rolls the best! I forgot our waitresses name but she was constantly there if we needed anything! We like the location with outdoor seating but the vibe of this place has always been good! They have so many tvs in here and the only thing I wish was different was that they weren't streaming any current baseball games and it's the only professional sport going right now. This place will definitely be somewhere we go for a sit down comfy meal.

Always love ale house! Their Cobb salad was great. I wish their dinner menu had a soup and salad option as it cost $9 to add French onion soup. I love that there is something for everyone in the family to choose from. Quality and service and very consistent.

Game day! Came in to enjoy some nachos, wings, and some whiskeys to watch the Jags dominate! The food and service is good. Not too crowded which is nice, especially when we have our kiddos with us. Only complaint would be that the bench seats always kill my bottom.

Check-in station at front.

I had a re-visit, after several years, to Miller's Ale House in Mandarin. It's still very fine. I was treating my oldest granddaughter and her significant other to dinner because they were kind enough to visit me from out-of-state. We had a very nice server, Dale, who helped me find food that didn't have anything onion in it. We started with the delicious artichoke-spinach dip appetizer. Then, I had my heart set on something with lobster but out of three lobster dishes (lobster roll, lobster ravioli, and lobster carbonara) only the last was onion-free. No matter--it was quite tasty. I had to give the shrimp in it away, but totally enjoyed the lobster claw meat in the dish!! Very nice bacony sauce, too. (Sorry--I think it was a limited edition and that may have been the last night.). My granddaughter got a huge salad and her boyfriend got chicken tenderloins, the Zinger Mountain Melt, with a couple of different sauces. It's a huge sports venue with lots of TVs, so a bit noisy but definitely a partying atmosphere. We were too full for dessert but I know they have good ones! A very nice night out!

Visited July 2025. No complaints really. Prices a bit high. Don't like the cameras on the tab checkout. Total bill came to $60.80 after tax and before tip.

Frustrating! I do the carnivore diet. I paid for a ribeye. Instead of paying for sides I am not going to eat, i asked to have a couple eggs. The manager said that they would be glad to give me the eggs, but they would have to charge me extra, which is ludicrous! I also spent money on wings so it's not like I was twisting their arm ultimately, the eggs aren't going to break me. It's just a matter of even texas roadhouse has no problem substituting. I will say that a young lady taking my order and the manager were very nice. So this is obviously a business plan. However, I think it is not smart.

Today my husband and I had a disappointing experience. We waited an inordinate time for the waitress who after about 5-10 minutes stopped for a few moments to tell us she would be back. No offer of drinks. Bit of a wait longer to place order. Order came without onion rings I'd ordered. She forgot to add them. She never checked to see if food was ok or make sure our drinks were refilled, which is a huge pet peeve. I got the onion rings after we were finished with meal and they are outrageously spicy. There is no mention of spicy batter on menu so it was very disappointing to have inedible side. Not to mention that my drink was empty which added to the misery. I did tell her when she finally came to table that I was disappointed in the service with lack of checking on us at all after food was delivered and she apologized and said she had double seating and also agreed that the onion rings do have quite a kick and that should be mentioned on menu. Overall disappointing

When we walked in, we saw a huge table of senior citizens, maybe about 20-30! We decided to stay. There was only one Bartender and one Waitress. The place was packed. We sat by the window seats-that was all that was left to sit at. The Waitress was very attentive(even though she was slammed). Today's special was shrimp baskets. Shrimp could be cooked three ways. I chose fried w/onion rings(fresh-not frozen rings) & and a 50/50 tea. My meal was delicious. Laura had blackened shrimp w/broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great conversation. I had $40.00 cash on me and Laura had a card to treat me, but the internet and card machine had just gone down. So I paid for the meal and tip. Laura Cash App'd me $40.00. Pros:big place with a very friendly atmosphere. Great service and food. Cons:it was out of their control that the machine went down. Recommend:Yes

I arrived unaware of its history, but the owner's love for basketball is unmistakable, and the locals reflect that same devotion... not just to the sport, but to the space itself. There's an ease here, a sense that people aren't just passing through. I took a seat at the bar, did what one does in such environments, and ordered an IPA. It was solid... confident, balanced, exactly what you'd hope for. But then came the onion rings, which I ordered based on a subtle but unmistakable social cue: everyone else seemed to be eating them. Reader, they were correct. These were not mere onion rings. These were structurally sound, texturally precise, and philosophically complete. Large, fully cooked onions, no trace of that unpleasant raw bite, encased in a crisp, golden coating that somehow maintained its integrity from first bite to last. Crunchy, consistent, and deeply satisfying. Naturally, I paired them with blue cheese dressing because I'm from upstate New York, and that is not a preference, it is doctrine.

I am traveling within reasonable distances of my home to experience the flavors. For example, one establishment provided a Flight of 3 menu items before committing to eating one, which was enjoyable; however, their shepherd's pie was prepared with sweetness/sweetened rather than savory flavors, which didn't bode well for me. Today's adventurous goal was to experience "bangers and mash," as there appear to be a couple of variations of this dish made with either Guinness, Port wine, or beef stock. When typing Bangers and Mash into Yelp and Google Maps, this establishment was an option for consideration. I verified that the item was on the menu and read the reviews. Upon our arrival, we were greeted well and seated forthwith. We started to place our orders when I noticed that the food item I was seeking wasn't on the menu. When I inquired about the Bangers and Mash, I was told it was no longer available. Disappointed, I opted for the Shepherd's pie. While I couldn't obtain the item I hoped for, the experience wasn't bad. The shepherd's pie was well-made and presented well; a large portion is served in an individual cast-iron pan. The flavor profiles were quite good, very savory and rich. The flavor spectrum touched all of the sensory elements. I found it quite enjoyable. My journey continues.
