I'm surprised by the number of negative reviews. We've had Platinum Pest Solutions for our home for over 8 years and the house has remained "insect free". We originally had them out to control an ant infestation and periodic silverfish. We've had no issues since. The staff have always kept their appointment and have been upbeat and professional. There's truth in you get what you pay for. Platinum seems to pay its workers minimal pay, and receive minimal training. Depending on who comes to your home, the report may be inaccurate. The goal seems to be to get as much money as they can, facts don't matter. They can also be disrespectful. The notice to remove valuables from your home is a serious security issue. read more

This IS the Platinum which did me harm: 2 days ago, he yelled at me, stressed me when I told him I do not need it today (not wish to inhale his useless spraying). With a cold winter day it is an not needed risk- I invested into UV device Swiss killer bed bugs etc, instead of waiting Platinum this August 9 days as "very busy" and could not come after my management calling, I called twice. I would not trust them to spray my dog house! The dogs were not Bed Bug dogs and they were filthy. The dogs looked as if they were brought in off the streets. We had a tenant who bed bugs and the dogs didn't tag him. Tenants complained so much they brought in another company...problem solved. There is a reason why they say remove all your valuables! Whenever they sprayed, you would see spray all over your blinds, outside your kitchen cabinets, spray was dripping everywhere!! This was 12 years ago. I'm not sure if things have changed! I live in a multi-story building and there is a severe roach problem that comes from the drains. They send in 16 and 17yr olds who have no training or education at all to sprinkle a staining yellow liquid in a few spots and walk out, and directly tell me, "We don't do drains." ... "I can't spray this solution down the drain." {yeah I know smart a__, I wasn't asking you to spray down the drain. I was asking for a solution!} This is supposed to be a professional pest control company, but they tell me they "don't handle drains" and that there's nothing they can do. They give no suggestions and brush off my questions quickly. One of them looked at me in disgust when I asked who their supervisor is (found out after calling three times that it's Mike, but they wouldn't give a last name). So now I am left to find out my own solution... I have lived many places in the U.S. and abroad, and I would say that this is the worst pest control company in the world. Never experienced anything like this in my life, and never experienced such careless, unconcerned workers and management. They ARE NOT pest control professionals. Horrible. They are so disorganized it's extraordinary. Just a terrible waste of money and time and energy. Actually they cause more strife by being so disorganized. when it comes to the actual service they are a disgraceful incompetent joke of a company who kinda, eventually gets the work kinda done but not really and that's only after hounding them and calling and calling and complaining. What a disaster. Probably the most bizarre, frustrating and wasteful experience I've ever had with a service provider of any kind, ever. They are also not very nice, more than once or twice. It's like they don't communicate internally about anything so it's a cluster-F. Such a strange, strange experience working with them. Integrity is kinda out the window to. Promises broken....like that very day. The nicest way I can say this is , in terms of working with this small building owner(us and our two 10 unit buildings) they dropped the ball so many times it was negligent and extremely damaging to our tenants. This company is completely useless. Every time they come out they have no idea what is going on, they send a different person who doesn't know if it's a follow up or the first inspection. I had bed bugs since December 20th of 2023 and they were around until March. I had pictures of bed bugs that I found 4 days prior to someone arriving and the guy refused to spray because he "saw no evidence of them." DUDE I've got pictures of them, and I threw out my box spring, couch, bed frame, blankets, etc. This company has overhired, they provide obviously terrible training, and all of their workers hate their lives and don't want to help anyone. 3 different times these charlatans have come to do a "follow up treatment" and they were in my apartment for 45 seconds. They don't look for bed bugs, they just spot spray around the baseboards of the apartment. It's an absolute joke. Just sending workers to locations without one clue what they are doing is ludicrous. You all should be ashamed. I had to call the management company and light a fire under their you know what in order to get them to call this company and actually make them understand they need to fix the problem. I honestly have no idea how they hire such clueless people or how they stay in business. Today, they did their quarterly "comprehensive" service, where they send out flyers saying they will be in the apartment 5-10 minutes. They are in the apartment maybe 30 seconds. Guy asks me if I have had any pests recently and I said yeah, bed bugs from December to March. And I got rid of them, this company did a whole lot of nothing. Then, this Platinum employee says "oh well you're the only one that's had them," as if to shame me. First off that's a blatant lie, one of my neighbors had an infestation, the other lady has had bed bugs on and off for years at this location. It's my opinion that they give sweet deals to all these building managers, so they are eager to hire them because they don't cost much. Then the workers purposefully to a terrible job and don't spend the time needed in order to ensure repeat business. Sadly, I suspect this happens a lot with pest control companies. read more

This company is disrespectful to senior citizens. They keep sending people out to harass residents at the apartment complex. They make false reports to the managers of the apartment complex to justify repeat fees and charges to the apartment complex. They don't exterminate but, bill the complex. They sent a man out today to my house who is a senior citizen and demanded payment for a positive report to management. This company is a scam. We had a pretty significant and annoying ant problem. We tried some home remedy stuff, but it didn't seem to do anything of significance. We called platinum pest solutions, and they were super responsive. The representative came out right on time, did great work, and explained exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it during the process. I found that very helpful. And most importantly, no more ants going on two weeks! read more

This company was hired by the building I live in to test and spray for bedbugs. The exterminators, Mac and Brian, were polite, worked quickly, turned off the lights when they left and let my cat out of the bathroom where he'd been stashed in anticipation of their arrival. Not knowing what to expect I was concerned about their being in my apartment when I wasn't there as a small statue had been broken during the testing phase. However, all was well when I returned. And, Jake, who I'd talked to previously about changing the day for the spraying was very understanding and amenable. Overall, these men left me with a very positive impression. read more

Platinum Pest Control now has the contract for my apartment complex. The initial testers or should I say only testers, rushed through my apartment with flashlights, 3 men, to look for bed bugs. One guy said he saw one moving asked his "boss" to verify. Three burly men in my bedroom. I asked him to kill the bug but he "just tests". I got my canister if Ortho Bug spray and killed the ANT. He didn't know that it was an ant. Granted there were dead bug marks on wall which have now been removed. But, there is no test for active bugs. I am a disabled senior citizen who can not do my own housework anymore. I have a feeding tube and a long list of health problems. Wednesday, before Thanksgiving a technician appears at my door,no notice refuses to answer my questions and tells me I have to move the furniture. He reeks of cigarettes which is also making ill. I'm not moving the furniture, it's physically impossible for me. He reports me to management and security presents me within eviction notice after 5:30PM as my out of town guests look on. Another visit,two technicians say I have to leave so they can treat. I sit in my walker in the hallway by the door. Within a half hour they say I can come in and they have to go to the truck to get something. They never return. That evening I get another eviction notice. Their tecnicians are not friendly,knowledgeable or honest. My apartment complex has allowed an outside vendor to treat it's residents like criminals. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I now have to buy bags that they are supposed to supply, hire someone to move furniture and to be with me as my advocate when they return. I'm sure they will treat a man differently. And, if I can find someone the size of a football player would be better. If they intend to grow their business they have to treat their clients better.
