We brought my sister for her birthday lunch, and from the moment we sat down outside, it just felt right. Blue skies, that warm Miami breeze, the kind of afternoon that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the people you're with. Sitting on the patio along South Dixie Highway, you get that classic local seafood vibe without any pretense. Just fresh air, fresh fish, and good energy. Now let's talk about the service, because it deserves its own spotlight. I'm totally blind, and if you've followed my reviews before, you know I notice how places handle that. Our server was phenomenal. She was attentive without hovering, detailed without being overwhelming, and helpful without a hint of being patronizing. She clearly paid attention to where everything was placed, described the dishes in a way that made them come alive, and made sure I could navigate the table comfortably. That balance is rare. It's professionalism mixed with genuine care. Thank you for that. It mattered. And the food. Wow. We started with the tuna wontons and conch fritters. Both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The tuna was bright and clean, with just the right crunch from the wonton. The fritters were golden and crisp outside, tender inside, with that classic South Florida seasoning that makes you want "just one more." I had the lobster bisque, and it was rich without being heavy. Smooth, creamy, layered with flavor, and clearly made with real attention to detail. My sister's boyfriend ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were loaded, well-balanced, and packed with fresh seafood flavor. My wife had the grouper fillet, grilled to perfection. I sampled both my sister's blackened fish and my wife's grilled grouper. The blackened had that beautiful, slightly spicy crust that wakes up your palate without overpowering the fish. The grilled version had what tasted like an Old Bay style seasoning that complemented the natural sweetness of the grouper perfectly. Everything was cooked exactly right. Nothing overdone. Nothing rushed. Just quality seafood handled the way it should be. All in all, it was a fantastic birthday lunch. Great service. Great food. Classic South Florida atmosphere. And the best part for us, it's right near home, which means we'll absolutely be back. If you're looking for a relaxed, authentic seafood experience in Miami, Golden Rule Seafood delivers.

My blackened grouper sandwich was delicious, but the portion seemed a bit undersized. The same could be said for the "bow" buns--great flavoring, but I was surprised there was only one shrimp per bun, and the order only came with a pair overall. My girlfriend also enjoyed her lobster bisque and side salad. They also had a nice list of craft beers to choose from & we'll certainly be back again, hopefully for some live music too.

The buzz in the restaurant and bar area is contagious reminiscent of the lively chaos in your mom's kitchen during Thanksgiving. The food was nearly flawless. I started with the Caesar Salad and bruschetta both simply delicious. The dressing was perfectly tangy, and the bruschetta was generously portioned and expertly seasoned. For my main, I chose the Eggplant Parm, an enormous portion. The cheese was generously layered, perhaps more than usual. The dish was fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. The sauce had a nice kick without being spicy. My mom ordered the Capellini Primavera, substituting pink cream sauce for oil and adding plenty of garlic; another huge portion. Absolutely loved it. A solid 10/10. Anna, our waitress, was outstanding, serving with remarkable speed and warm professionalism. Regret not taking pictures of our dish!!

This Italian restaurant is the kind of place that quietly ruins other Italian restaurants for you…read more The food isn't just "good" or "solid." It's cooked to perfection. The pasta has that exact bite it's supposed to have. The sauces taste like someone's nonna has been guarding the recipe since 1952. Everything feels authentic, not in the gimmicky, red-checkered-tablecloth way, but in the "this is how it's actually done" way. The atmosphere seals the deal. It's warm, cozy, and welcoming without trying too hard. Soft lighting, relaxed energy, the kind of place where you sit down for dinner and somehow three hours disappear. It feels intimate without being cramped, lively without being loud. You can have a real conversation without shouting over someone's birthday party. And then there's the wine situation, which is almost absurd in the best way. The bottles are sold at cost. At cost. Like they woke up and decided profit margins were optional. The selection is massive, stretching across regions and styles, and staring at the list is borderline overwhelming. In a good way. Whether you're a casual sipper or someone who can pronounce Montepulciano correctly, you'll find something exceptional. In short: authentic food, flawless execution, cozy atmosphere, and a wine list that feels like you stumbled into a secret. It's the kind of place you want to gatekeep... but also immediately tell everyone about.

I've been thinking of taking the WSET exam to get some more solid knowledge of wine, and after comparing different places offering the course as well as online options, I decide to take the class here. Located in the SunTrust building, the academy is easily accessible and there's garage as well as street parking around. The class is a small in size so it's good for sharing experience and opinions. Alessandra is readily available to answer questions during and after class, and she gives useful tips in preparing for the exam. The course really helped me in calibrating my palate to the WSET standard, as well as broadening my horizon and introducing me to less common wines, such as Hungarian tokaji and Australian riesling. In the end, I felt that regardless of whether I pass the exam or not, the course was totally worthwhile, because it has given me a lot of knowledge and the tool to better appreciate wine.

What an incredible time I had yesterday at the Florida Wine Academy for my Wine Class…read more I have so many reasons to go back, from the impeccable place, inside and outside, to the wonderful and well-prepared class, directed by Ms. Nicole. She emailed us, two days before, and asked us if we have any food allergies since they will provide some snacks to pair with the wines. She also gave us the address and explained to us how to get there and where to park. I parked in a public garage for $5.00, this was not my best choice, because I'm not used to walking alone downtown, but it wasn't that bad after all. I went into the Sun-trust building, a beautiful tall building. The academy is on the 22nd floor as Nicole told us in her email. Once I got there, we went to this room where she had everything set up as you can see in my pictures, so pretty and organized. That's one of the most important things for me, how well organized and neat everything was. I need all those, in order for me to learn and enjoy myself the way I did. She started the class as a Professor will, telling us about herself and that, made me happy, such a prepared person is teaching me about wine...wow. The way she directed the class, with all the details, from guiding us where to buy wines, to open up our senses. Smell, Taste, and Body, were words we used during the whole class since we learned from her how to categorize each different wine, from all the six we had. As we were learning, smelling, and trying the wines, she also told us how to pair them with food and gave us tips on which wine will go good or better with the food we choose. With the wines we tried, we had some nuts, cheese and crackers, grapes, and dark chocolate...Yummy! They also offer all the 4 levels of WSET classes, plus labs like the one I went and more. You can always call or check their website for more information. Honestly, after trying this class yesterday, I don't feel so embarrassed to try the leveled classes and get my certification, because they way they teach you, you can actually learn and move forward.

The highlight of the evening was the vodka pasta with a special Wagyu cut, which was nothing short of spectacular. Every bite reflected the quality and attention to detail that sets this restaurant apart. A special thank you to our server, who was not only beautiful and professional but also incredibly attentive and kind throughout the entire evening. She helped surprise my daughter with two amazing birthday desserts, complete with thoughtful birthday touches that made the celebration feel extra special. The chocolate cake deserves an 11/10--rich, decadent, and unforgettable. The flan was equally outstanding, silky smooth and one of the best we've ever had. Everything we ordered was well prepared and flavorful. That said, it feels a bit overpriced for what it is, likely because it's become one of the hottest places to be right now. Overall, worth experiencing once, and perhaps again, but not a place I'd go out of my way for.
