The only availability they had was for Saturday morning at 9 am for 60 minutes. I agreed and made the booking. I asked if we would have access to the other amenities at the spa and they informed that it was a small spa, but you could have access to the pools. The day of the massages we arrived early to fill out paperwork, changed and sat in the relaxation room until it was time for our appointment. They did offer us complimentary water, tea, and cookies. I think at 9 am they could have offered light breakfast pastries instead of cookies and brownies as I know they serve breakfast upstairs. When it was time for the massages, they put my husband and I in separate rooms. I was under the impression that booking a couples massage we would be in the same room. The massages themself were nothing impressive. The staff outside the room were pretty noisy sounded like they were stocking things and talking. Someone even walked into my husband's room during his massage. When we went to check out the person checking us out looked like she might have been training, but she was also not the most pleasant. A 20% gratuity is already included so we paid almost $400. for 2 60-minute massages that were just mid. Not worth the price especially when they don't have any other amenities to offer besides the pool.

I used digital check-in, skipped the front desk completely, and unlocked my room by holding my phone up to the door without the need for a plastic key. Very convenient. He is AWFUL TO DEAL WITH and I say to avaoid all his properties. They own a ton of them and do not care ab out anything except people' money without providing service.

There are a few things to keep in mind: 1- The restaurant and bar on first floor ate no longer open, so don't plan to eat or drink on site (bars and eateries are very close by). 2 - The hundred plus year old railroad system runs directly across from the hotel and the entire business district. It would be great if there were a few hot items readily available (eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits, etc.) Outside of breakfast, we had no complaints.
