    Red spot below mattress

Live music some nights was posted online, so my husband called the inn before we arrived and was assured by the owner that the music wasn't that loud. We arrived on a Wednesday night to a guy on a megaphone announcing trivia - sounded like he was in our room (Caribbean Suite). It was not loud on Sunday night and Monday night, when the adjacent tiki bar (leased by the hotel owners) closed early. The speakers on the front of the adjacent building broadcast the tiki bar even louder on the weekend. The place is very loud: garbage trucks and delivery trucks w/backup beepers in the AM, trains all night, an occasional drunk, loud cars - as well as the other inn guests (including the guy below us snoring). Multiple walls, a wood ceiling, and the better part of a door frame have water damage (staining and bubbled-up paint). The bathroom was the size of the bathroom in the cheapest room on a cruise ship. Toiletries were generic little bottles with screw caps (very convenient in a wet shower). Conditioner was MIA and when finally appeared, seemed to be refilled and made my hair greasy like lotion. For the price charged, at least the shower curtain should have been washed instead of having black spots all over it from day one. The electrical appeared to be over 50 years old; there was no GFI outlet in the bathroom, and the outlet on one side of the bed was so loose that the plug would not stay in it. The pull-out sofa and chair are beyond their useful period, and all of the furniture appears to be used. Water pressure in the shower varied heavily. Our friends pointed out a cockroach trap under their sink - sure enough, there was cockroach powder between the fridge and cabinet in our room. Friends also found a termite wing on the top of the toilet. The wood kitchen shelf, kitchen cabinets, top of the microwave and fridge had not been cleaned in a very long time. At one point, housekeeping didn't leave us any paper towels. Place was never vacuumed while we we there. Despite the signs indicating parking for the inn, everyone parks in the parking lot. Tow signs are not present. After we called about the noise the first night, the owner offered us a full refund, but the other hotels in Stuart had bad ratings and we had already unpacked. With two nights left in a seven-night stay, the owner called again and offered to move us to a cottage. We didn't take him up on it, since we'd have to pack everything/lug it down the stairs (no elevator). The amount of money charged is exorbitant and the number of five star reviews seems suspect - perhaps they all stayed at the cottages.

Charming, quaint, colorful, bright, affordable, convenient, welcoming, warm - this little inn in the center of Stuart by the water and boardwalk is all that! Loved staying in the Bermuda suite, which is like an NYC apartment (a nice one!) with a walk-in closet, kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The decorations are all tropical and endearing, and they hang a bag on your door each day with surprisingly delicious everything bagels, cream cheese, and fruit. You feel like a kid whose been packed a lunch. It's pretty great. Will be back. 5 stars!!!!

We stayed here for a wedding recently and are so thankful we found this place. We were at the Marriott, and the place was so filthy we had to move and found this place online. I called and spoke to the owner, and told him what we had just experienced with the Marriott and he was so understanding, offered us a great last minute rate in one of the beautiful houses around the corner from the hotel. The owners are so warm and welcoming, the hotel is adorable and everyone is soooo friendly. They had everything ready for us right away and a bed for the baby. Place was very clean, and the best part is we had a large private pool in the backyard that we shared with another family staying on the property. The linens were so comfortable, we asked where they bought them and when we got home we ordered sheets for our bed, that's how comfortable they were. Every morning they delivered fresh bagels and oj, and always had water in the fridge. The restaurant at the hotel has live music, great food and they make you feel so welcomes. It was right in the little downtown, so you could walk to the shops. It was the best location to everything and we highly recommend this place. We stayed in Evinrude.....http://www.oldcoloradoinn.com/rooms-rates/evinrude_suite/

I can't give more stars or I would! I travel all over and I can honestly say these are the nicest people I have ever dealt with. You can't stay anywhere with the charm of these rooms. Everything including grounds are spotless! I woke up this morning to find a gift bag with bagels and juice, homemade cookies when we checked in, stocked coffee and cream. I am a picky pain with an attention to detail and all I can say is I'm impressed!!! If you are going into the hospitality business intern here and be successful!

I've heard the event used to be held at a different venue, but many people seem thrilled with the move to this location. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. You really can't go wrong with an event held near the water, even if you don't get a direct view since there's no actual windows upstairs(that I've noticed). The space is elegant, well-designed, and consistently organized to perfection each year. Everything runs smoothly, from valet parking at the entrance to easy access via stairs or elevator. The second floor is mostly hallways with large ballrooms throughout, making it easy to navigate between spaces. Overall, it's always such a fun and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a special event or function--you won't be disappointed.

The only availability they had was for Saturday morning at 9 am for 60 minutes. I agreed and made the booking. I asked if we would have access to the other amenities at the spa and they informed that it was a small spa, but you could have access to the pools. The day of the massages we arrived early to fill out paperwork, changed and sat in the relaxation room until it was time for our appointment. They did offer us complimentary water, tea, and cookies. I think at 9 am they could have offered light breakfast pastries instead of cookies and brownies as I know they serve breakfast upstairs. When it was time for the massages, they put my husband and I in separate rooms. I was under the impression that booking a couples massage we would be in the same room. The massages themself were nothing impressive. The staff outside the room were pretty noisy sounded like they were stocking things and talking. Someone even walked into my husband's room during his massage. When we went to check out the person checking us out looked like she might have been training, but she was also not the most pleasant. A 20% gratuity is already included so we paid almost $400. for 2 60-minute massages that were just mid. Not worth the price especially when they don't have any other amenities to offer besides the pool.

It's not that this is a super swanky property (it's not), but it's a perfectly acceptable hotel that's clean and comfortable, if drab and dated. This is a very basic Hampton Inn that's starting to feel a little tired around the edges. The rooms and overall property are definitely due for a renovation soon, especially when weekend rates are pushing close to $285 a night for a standard King room. That price feels ambitious for what you're getting here, and it's mind-boggling that this hotel regularly commands rates in the $200 to $300 range. The hotel does check a lot of practical boxes. It's located right on a busy main road with tons of restaurants, stores, and chain conveniences nearby. I wouldn't exactly describe the area as quaint or charming, but it felt safe, relatively quiet at night, and easy to navigate. Parking was plentiful, free, and well-lit, which I always appreciate. The staff was friendly enough, but I barely interacted with anyone because the Hilton app made everything super easy. I used digital check-in, skipped the front desk completely, and unlocked my room by holding my phone up to the door without the need for a plastic key. Very convenient. The room itself was dated but clean. The AC worked beautifully, which is a necessity in Florida! I had it ice cold in there, so much so that I had to get a blanket. The layout of our room was a little odd, but very spacious. I like Hampton Inns because there's always a handy mini fridge and microwave in the room, which always make a hotel stay easier. Amenities are standard. There's a mediocre free hot breakfast, free WiFi, and an outdoor pool. Nothing fancy, but functional. This Hampton Inn is not stylish, not exciting, and maybe overdue for some upgrades, but it's friendly and comfortable.
