Here we go, My first time visiting St. Port Lucie. What a wonderful little town. The location of this hotel was in a great area.very convenient. Restaurants and stores were about 1 mile from this hotel. The hospitality of the front desk clerks were amazing. They were very helpful. My room was in a great location which was directly across from the pool. Breakfast was basic but OK. My room was cleaned daily. Cleaning staff was friendly. Loved the room set up. I booked this room through booking.com so I was able to get a great deal. Outside decor was nice and clean. I really like this hotel and if I ever visit St Port Lucie I would visit again. Hotel is kept immaculate; the staff is so hard working. I can honestly say in my stays at Best Western Stuart I have never witnessed a single employee on their phone or not physically working, including the security guard who walks all night; always a comfort when having to walk a dog at 3am. The professionalism and service of everyone here is almost extinct in today's times. Definitely a reflection of owners and management. read more

Everything went well. The hotel was very clean, and well situated close to Downtown. The room was spacious and well kept. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The breakfast was very good and Ms. Atala was very nice and made sure the trays were always well served for everyone and the tables were also cleaned between customers. Also, the pool and surrounding area was very clean and beautiful. The parking area was good. I will definitely stay again when I return to Stuart. I highly recommend it! read more

We were looking for a clean space to stay that offered breakfast. The rooms are fine and the pool is nice. It's not an expensive place, so I could deal with the rough towels and sheets. What was disappointing is knowing breakfast ends at 9:30am and going down at 9:10 to see empty food trays. Waited to see if it would be refilled and after no one came out, asked the desk if there would be any more food. Was told "once it's gone, it's gone". Not the best way to start our morning and getting back on the road. read more

I've seen bad reviews here, and I can't imagine why. My room was adjacent to the laundry room and I still heard no noise.. Staff was pleasant and efficient.. The room was clean and so was the pool. Stole our money. We had an emergency and had to find a hotel for our son for the night. (We live bi-coastal) and our house was being worked on. Frantic, we booked online. The online booking of course took our money and made the reservation. I called the front desk to ask a clarifying question and they said, "Oh he can't stay here because he not over 21." We asked for our money back because we had no idea AND THEY REFUSED. I explained that we were in a hurry and did not see the very small print on age limitations on the 'hotel-info' page. (Who looks there?) They still refused! I complained to management - and still they refused. They literally got money for nothing. Clean and comfortable, GREAT staff! Before even arriving, Ryan at front desk confirmed my reservation, and granted my wish for a first floor room by parking lot, so we could unload our contents to accommodate a visitor's wheelchair, and once I arrived, he granted me a late checkout. What a great example to other employees, so professional and capable. The hotel is old, but well cared for and maintained, with very clean bathrooms, tub with railing (see pic). Breakfast was usual for BW, but Diane hustled with a smile, keeping food refilled, offering water refills for my cup. We liked the magnetic PRIVACY signs that slap on the metal doors. Very happy we chose BW - sometimes you don't know. Our room, standard king, was EXCELLENT. It looks like the hotel has had some remodeling. The room & bathroom were exceptionally clean, very nicely furnished, all amenities provided. Bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. TV and choice of channels were excellent. Wi-Fi was easy to log onto and was quick. The only problem was that we enjoyed sleeping in and having coffee in the room so much that we didn't get down to check to see how the breakfast was (maybe tomorrow). I also highly compliment Josh at the front desk. I had 2 occasions to call BW the week before our arrival. He was extremely helpful on the calls. Then when we arrived for check-in, he was at the front desk. Such a great guy. We had so much fun at check-in, just goofing and laughing with him. It was such a fun way to end a long day of travel. Flew in from California for a wedding and the wife and I were exhausted from long flight delays, and didn't land until 7:00am. I called the front desk and spoke to Ryan and he was awesome. It was my 1st time I tried a Best Western and I was really happy with this location's hospitality. I travel often----hotel chains, bed and breakfasts, resorts, international hotels and so on. The Best Western is a fair price for the buyer. Quick notes: -A restaurant with happy hour and free self-serve continental breakfast (breads, cereals, hot plate eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles). -Small gym -clean pool with good amount of chairs. For some reason, I have not learned from my past mistakes and I continue to go here, but no more. I like this place because it is a very convenient location for the business I do in Stuart and I like their breakfast. But they continue to disappoint me, so I done. This time they put me and my wife in a handicap room with one standard bed (smaller than a queen). There were no tissues in the room, and the shower was too creepy to use. I waqs not told on check-in that this was a handicap room. See my other reviews for past experiences. read more

I am so glad we changed hotels. We were staying at a more expensive place but had a horrible experience there. The Best Western was a wonderful surprise! The rooms are newly painted and the bathrooms are small but clean. After the first night staying here, I turned to my traveling companion and said I feel like I am finally in Florida. This hotel surrounds a courtyard with wonderful planting and a large pool. The breakfast was ok and we even went to "Walters" bar in the lobby. The staff couldn't be more friendly. INCREDIBLE ** CLEAN ** FRIENDLY ** CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. I stayed here during a week long work training class. I have to say for a mid priced, no frills hotel it was simplistically amazing. Ryan at the front was always helpful with directions, and EVERYDAY the room was cleaned up for me..bed made, towels folded, vanity clean, coffee resupplied. Terrible stay. I was charged double and staff wanted to argue with me about it. Loud train goes through just a block away a few times every night, blowing its horn. Dirty tile floor made my socks brown. This is a Motel or old motor inn, not a Hotel. Try Quality Inn 950 SE Federal Highway Stuart. Beautiful property, great rooms and sparkling pool. This is a Best Western "Plus?" While the woman at the front desk was nice enough, ultimately, this came off like a Motel 6 with a few extra amenities like in-room microwave and fridge, hot breakfast, and a decent cable package. While it was a fun getaway weekend, at the end, I was pretty much happy to check out as fast as I could. Maybe there are nicer rooms at this place than the one they gave us, but I have to call this one as I saw it. First of all, we arrive with a Priceline reservation in hand, and all they could give me was a disabled-accessible room with one "full" bed. Which wasn't even ready at the check-in time of 3PM. So we sat in the car and watched the housekeeper clean it. On her way out, she just sprayed some cleaner into the room as if it was air freshener or something. I guess that's to make it smell "clean." The piddly little "full" bed - while I've slept on worse, it was hardly a bed I looked forward to sinking into at the end of the night. I'd get to sleep relatively easily, but later toss and turn uncomfortably. The disabled-accessible shower, while spacious, was unsatisfying. The shower head had to be held in place with one hand to get a decent stream of water; otherwise it would sag and aim toward the shower wall. "I've experienced better" sums this one up perfectly. read more

I came down here to visit my family. I picked Best Western due to the fair price and that they have a fitness center. The lobby was clean and beautiful and the staff at the front counter were friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly, but for the $20 extra charge, I chose not to have a dog stay with us and let my mom keep her. I was very happy with the cleanliness and space of our room complete with small fridge and personal coffee maker. Our bathroom had plenty of towels and the shower had a good strong pressure and hot water. The gym really impressed me the most though. Two treadmills, an elliptical, weight bench, and yoga ball and mat all in good condition. They even had towels and a water cooler! It was actually the nicest gym I've seen in a hotel or apartment complex thus far. I was also happy that they did grant me complimentary late check out for noon. Will definitely use this place again to visit my parents! read more

This review should count for maybe 6 or more reviews as we've been here for over a month [$2000 and counting] so far waiting to move into the house we bought. The place has NO major faults at all. It's been a hassle free stay. Maids are great, I can park right outside the door, free breakfast, close to downtown. Pool looks very nice but I have not used it. I checked ALL the other hotels/motels around and all have objections and I'd have to pay double or more what I'm paying for this long term stay. I was going to say it's not The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach until I see they have only a 3.5 star review average and I'm sure their rates are MUCH higher than here. . read more

One of the better Best Western's we've stayed in. Friendly staff, decent breakfast service and wifi was included. The room was very clean and updated. This appeared to be a newer hotel. Great price for the room and location. The only complaint I have is the air conditioner (wall unit) was very loud. There is not a thing wrong with this HOTEL. Is it fancy? Nope....it's also around a $100 bucks a night or less. Not sure what people expect. It is clean, it is newly redecorated. The staff at the front desk is awesome (find Barbara as she is the Wizard of this Oz) but they are all great. Down to the cleaning ladies and maintenance guys..I have yet to rub wrong with anyone here and I've stayed here for several WEEKS. The rooms are freshly renovated. The pool is clean and nice, the night time security handles the small parties that might happen very occasionally...was never an issue for me in SIX weeks. This is a working Man's hotel because of the price..not the quality. They serve a reasonable breakfast. It feels safe. What more could you POSSIBLY be asking for this price? I have paid double and received HALF in other cities. Let the 1 star Generals go back to Marriott and pay triple. Have fun :) read more

Found this hotel on Yelp and wasn't to excited to try it out because of the negative reviews but we gave the A chance. The rooms and clean and updated! They have a pool outside that looked very inviting but we were way to tired. In the morning they had a big variety of breakfast foods to choose from! I checked in on Wednesday and I'm leaving Sunday morning. I'm writing this review on Friday night. So far, I have had 3 days and 2 full nights here. The guys at check in seemed friendly enough. But I was a bit put off by some of the clientele that came in and out of the lobby as I checked in. They seemed really sketchy but I brushed it off. The hotel, itself, looks more like a motel. It has outside doors- which I don't feel comfortable with. But anyway, I made the most of it. After the second night- I felt safe. There's not much activity in the parking lot or noise from the other guests. However, the noise from the train has woken me up at least twice each night. That sh/t is unreal. I don't know if it's quieter on the other side of the property but it is LOUD. It woke me up at 2am and again at 4 am. It's startling. I can't predict when the train will come by but I can't imagine how other guests deal with it. Anyway, my room was pretty clean. Even though the hotel looks old, I think the rooms may have been updated fairly recently. No carpet- which is great and I couldn't spot any mold in the bathroom (which is my biggest pet peeve- see my other reviews lol) and that was good. They offered breakfast vouchers but I didn't have the opportunity to check it out since I have been up very early for a training I had to attend to this week. Overall, it's decent, clean and reasonably priced. I'd come back. But with earplugs and sleep medicine. read more

We booked this hotel thru a third party [I realize now this is a mistake-if I can I will always book directly] There was a problem with the initial reservation which then had to be cancelled and we chose to stay at the Best Western in Stuart. Check in was uneventful despite the prior glitch [the hotel had nothing to do with this-it was great that they had room available!] The room itself was comfortable, clean and orderly. I don't like the doors facing outside but we dealt with it. We received a free coupon for a drink but only until 9p. The bar closed at that point???? The only problem that we had with our stay was despite a strong signal, there was no internet access in our room. If it had not been for this glitch, our stay would have been perfect. We needed to internet for business issues so it was somewhat critical not to be able to access it. Despite this, I would recommend and return and hopefully, on our next visit, this problem will have been rectified. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Came down for an unexpected death in the family. There was a mistake made with the reservation that put me in a smoking room. I politely asked to move to a non-smoking room and was told to grab my stuff and lug it over to the front desk. When I got there, they told me there'd be an extra charge to swap rooms. This is absurd to me especially when going to look back at the rates and they charge the same exact rate for smoking vs non-smoking rooms. I explained to them why I was there, but nobody cared. I went to corporate to file a formal complaint, again, nobody cared. Aside from that, the train sounds like it literally runs thru the hotel. The room was very dirty and grimy, with cobwebs all over the ceiling and dirt/grime/mildew all over the bathroom floors and walls. 1-star is one too many for the Worst Western. Not sure why I expected real hospitality from BWH Group. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

Do not come to this hotel!! We have two softball teams that booked 21 hotel rooms and was told by the security guard that we couldn't be by the patio after 10pm. We weren't loud or obnoxious, just adults talking about the results of the games . The security guard Sebastian was unreasonable and had a total power trip. He decided to call the sheriffs office for wanting to keep our group together while we socialized. I should of known when I booked at the Best Western. Never again. read more

Very nice. Clean, comfortable room. Beautiful pool. Good complimentary breakfast. The 2 ladies who were working the breakfast bar were extremely nice. We had to cut our trip short and they could not have been more helpful! The front desk employees were GREAT! Nikki at the front desk helped us so much with a big smile at all times. Some noise from planes landing at a small airport nearby, but not enough to bother me. I got a poolside room so no noticeable train noise. read more
