Weekends, it can turn into a lovely outdoor wedding venue. They have different stages for the ceremony, the reception, and dinner. They look like they may be equipped to handle a wedding party of 100, maybe more: you're going to have to ask them, since they don't seem to be actively promoting themselves as a wedding venue, at least not on the www. They had pictures of the bride, groom, family and friends put in rustic wooden frames over different parts of the spacious grounds. You can wander from one to the other, ooo and aah, all the while putting more steps on your Fitbit. Not sure if they also did the catering, but the food was pretty good too, even if they don't believe in rare (or even rarer) prime rib - they had great fresh crudites and the nicest cheese spread I've seen in eons at the reception before dinner. Dude made a mean martini for me, too, using a splash of chard in place of dry vermouth - interesting! Everything was out doors though, which carries with it some risks in Florida most of the year. If it's "...hey ho the wind and the rain", it could be a soggy affair. Day of the wedding, gray overcast skies and a forecast of rain threatened to do just that. But prayers were answered: not only did the clouds part, and Apollo decided to shine forth in all his glory, a pair of cranes flew over the lake before the ceremony started. Cranes are a symbol of long life, and a pair of them - that speaks for itself for a wediing. I'm not superstitious, but what's wrong with sending the happy couple off to their new life together with an extra measure of good wishes? p.s. Another dear friend of mine had an upcoming birthday and would be away on a cruise so we opted to dine here to celebrate. We sat outside on the covered patio and enjoyed lupper. We shared a variety of items and started with the Parker House bread which is paired with an insanely delicious caramelized onion butter and a trio of tuna poke tacos. Both of these appetizers were superb! The billowy soft roll blanketed in the onion butter was dreamy and the tuna inside the tacos was well flavored and very fresh. Moreover, the combination of textures: the crispy taco shell with soft tuna harmonized extremely well. After we enjoyed the starters, we shared the seasonal chopped salad. The vinaigrette was magnificent and the sweet potatoes were roasted to perfection and danced delightfully with the cranberries and goat cheese. Finally, we shared the Clubhouse California sandwich and fries which we had the kitchen split for us. The sandwich featured toasted multigrain bread with a grilled chicken breast, gruyère, avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a sriracha aïoli. We requested this be held on the side and served along with a side of honey mustard. Unfortunately, there was an error and this didn't occur. I absolutely detest mayonnaise which is why I preferred it be served on the side just in case I could taste it. Luckily, I didn't mind the aïoli being I didn't taste any mayonnaise. It also had a gentle kick due to the sriracha that paired well with the accompanying ingredients. We washed down our meals with club soda paired with lime and good ole fashioned H20. I had mentioned to our server Morgan that it was my friend's birthday so after our meal she and her team brought out a hot brownie with vanilla ice cream and a candle and sang "Happy Birthday." It was such a special touch and very appreciated. Our dining experience was delightful and I will definitely return. The inside of the restaurant along with the bar is beautiful offering great views and the restroom was very clean. There is some walking involved from the parking lot to the dining room, but valet parking is an option.

Server was greeted us with a friendly smile. We watched the beautiful sunset as we enjoyed our food and the fun event.

It need a lot of little fixer up things like the concrete pads at the sites, the roads, the WiFi is really weak, the pool isn't warm enough and they say it's heated but the biggest thing is the stuff (junk) that people have at there sites is out of control. The management here, Gary & Sherri, do a good job trying to stay on top of things but it's all about the home office and money. I'll keep coming back because of the price and the people.
