BE CAREFUL IF YOU ORDER DELIVERY AND HAVE CHILDREN PLAYING NEAR THE DRIVEWAY My family and I have always been a fan of Planet Pizza. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? No. But there's something to be said about the long delivery times and lines in store. It's good pizza. We've ordered delivery probably once a month; this time a few weeks ago, and I'm sad to say it will most likely be the last time. The only good thing that came about it is the long conversation/debate my wife and I had with some friends about delivery drivers appearances and if there should be a code for them. Let me paint the picture: Saturday night, ordered a couple of pizzas for the kids, my wife, and myself, it's still light out, thankfully my kids had come in from playing outside about 10 minutes prior and were showering up before dinner. I say this because the driver who's car you could hear from two streets over fake FLYING in our driveway. He was easily going above the speed limit in the driveway. Where my children often play. My wife told me not to get the door as I was ready to throw him off. I can see from behind, he's holding the pizzas, and his hair is all but in the pizza boxes, and looks like he hadn't showered in weeks, as his hair was more greasy than the pizza, with a heavy stench of cigarettes and arrogance that lingered into the house. We threw away the top pizza and only ate the bottom. I don't care what people look like at all, or what jobs you have. But if you're handling food, you should at least look clean. My food travels in the car, and I don't know if they open the box up to make sure it's the right pizza or not, but I wouldn't trust the interior of his car to not have 100 cigarette butts on the ground with ash flying around. Incredibly disappointed. With two kids, and one of us parents typically out of the house until late, it's hard to stop and pick anything up. But if we do remain customers- that's our only option. Ironically there's much better pizza in town but most everything else they make is above average, especially their salads which are superb. Probably the worst pizza I've ever had, at least the slice version. The sauce consistently has ZERO flavor. There are so many other pizza places in Ridgefield. Honestly, I have been going here for years and have never experienced bad delivery service like I have today. I go to the front of my apartment and see a pick-truck with a man sitting halfway out the car smoking a cigarette. I think to myself "Surely this can't be the delivery guy," BUT I WAS VERY, VERY WRONG. The man stares at me for a whole minute without speaking or getting up from his seated position and gives a sly "Hey," in my direction. The man was clearly doing some kind of "flirting" technique which made me highly uncomfortable. I walk upstairs to my apartment uneasy with my encounter but shrug it off. I dig into my fries and notice something hanging from one, TWO LONG, CURLY BEARD HAIRS. At that point, I couldn't wait to eat something that I knew was good, a nice slice of cheese pizza. I take one bite and it is freezing cold and saturated with grease. I am going to make it a point never to order from these people again. I'm sure the staff is great, but the man who took care of my order seemed to think it was some kind of blind date instead of a delivery. Very disappointed, PP, very disappointed. read more

Pizza is good, rather greasy though. There wraps tend to be a little soggy, and their buffalo wings taste like they were just popped in the microwave. Also, their cheese fries (and chili cheese fries) are just regular fries with a slice of those cheap packaged American cheese slices. It's also incredibly crowded, and the majority of people who work their are teenagers. It's not exactly the fastest pizza place. I did not receive my pizza until 9:38pm - over TWO HOURS after I had placed the order. It was just one large pizza, there is no reason this should have taken over two hours to make and deliver!! They took $15 off, but the pizza was COLD. Not even luke-warm. Cold. Moving up from Poughkeepsie has proven to make it a really tough task to find good pizza. This place is the best I've found, so far, and the only place in Ridgefield that realizes they are selling pizza, not gold and price accordingly. In a region with such a high bar on good pizza, I am mystified Planet Pizza even remains in business. Other places have the same pizza chef manning the oven for year.
