Ridgefield Buyer beware... they just delivered to my house when I didn't order. So I was surprised and asked my wife If she ordered, which she didn't. I call them to let them know whoever ordered didn't get their pizza. 15 minutes later I get a call that they were coming back to pickup the pizza and redeliver it after sitting in my house for almost 20 mins. The slices are TERRIBLE. Their Buffalo slice tastes like an orange artificial food coloring bottle spilled on top of a diced chicken cutlet on top of a slice of terrible pizza. Said orange sauce was so watery it soaked thru the pizza onto the plate. AVOID. read more

I order a pizza on a busy night and showed up a touch early they were so busy that the fellow had the oven open 1/2 the time adding and removing pizzas. The problem is that the half of the pizza inside got cooked and the half near the door didn't. I think they are one of the best in town, and not sure what to do about being so busy. Excellent pizza, in my opinion, particularly for a small chain in the area- friendly service and good for a quick pie on the go or you can now get delivery with their app. For South Salem/Ridgefield, I find it the best tasting pizza offered for delivery. Prices are also reasonable. Eating there is tight on busy nights, and dining area could clearly use renovation, but it's a pizzeria, not a proper restaurant looking to charm with its ambiance. Planet always has good pizza and good service. I arrived on a rainy night 10 minutes before closing - I'd driven 7 hours from another state, and all restaurants but Planet were closed. This small town, where I lived for over 20 years, closes up tight by 9:00 pm even before Covid. The host woman working there heated a slice for me and I sat to eat it with a soda while she closed up. What a kind care of just one customer spending only $8.00 at closing time! Yum! Excellent to-go option on the main drag in Norwalk/Wilton area. The Sicilian pie was cooked perfectly - so fluffy yet crisp. The cheese ratio was excellent but I would have preferred a bit more sauce. Side salad was excellent - crisp, fresh, and a huge portion for what was considered a small (could have easily been split for 2). Garlic knots were FANTASTIC ... even reheated later that night. And I loved that they came with a side of sauce too. Excellent place - looking forward to trying more options on the menu. Price is fair but a tad higher than others in the area. read more

This pizza was completely unremarkable (not even average), and thus my review will be completely unremarkable (not even average). See, this is how mediocracy spreads. What a bummer. Got pizza from here while at a friend's place, because it's COVID End Times, and they deliver. I kept it simple: large cheese and pineapple (I will die on that hill) - I have no clue what others got, as I was pretty jazzed to dig into my meal and completely focused on that task. I shouldn't have been. I don't like overcooked pizza. Those who do are weird and wrong; you know who you are. Having said that, some places will scorch a pizza with style...coal fired char marks, oven-blackened peppers, etc...this is not one of those places. I can't say the bottom and sides of this pizza were like cardboard, as cardboard has some give to it. This was just dry, hard and left my jaw aching after gnawing my way through just one piece. Think of it like this: if I had dropped the entire pie in a filled sink, 50/50 it would either float indefinitely or soak up the entire basin. Now, a moist pineapple topping might have provided some contrast, had there been more than a single ounce on the entire large pizza (for an extra $2.50!). I have accidently sneezed more pineapple than this pizza contained. Some pieces had three little chunks, one actually had eight. By contrast, most places would have had fifteen to twenty, per large slice, minimum. I would have taken a picture, but I didn't want to be "that guy" at the table - I kept my inner critic inner. For once. I get pizza to occasionally indulge, since it's a carb bomb and not an "all the time food". So, when I do, I'm pretty forgiving. Still, this meal did not bring me one moment of joy. It got 2 stars because I didn't actively get food poisoning (that was two days earlier, at a different place). read more

We have loved Planet Pizza as long as we have lived in Ridgefield. They have been a cornerstone of our downtown-they are open and delivering always! When the storms hit and the power is out-PP is one of the first businesses to get back open. They are reliable when the weather is bad- It's terrible to read the handful of poor reviews that have been posted during Covid. This business, like all of them, has worked hard to stay open and keep employees. It seems that everywhere you go new employees are getting trained and PP is no different. We were also told it was the only order the driver had and it would be there "shortly". We're about 10 min from downtown. Pizza showed up 35 minutes later. Driver said there was one other order delivered before ours. On top of everything, Order had the wrong pizzas. The guys who work here are always in the community doing something good and that really rezinates with me. I personally like to support local businesses that give back like Planet Pizza has. Whenever I go in to pick up my order they always say hello to everyone by name. While I love being lazy and having my food delivered to me, nothing beats a slice fresh out of the oven. If you don't understand that, than you don't know pizza. I think they also have the best Gluten Free pizza in town. They have been great about making my son's unique slice. I had been a customer of Planet Pizza Ridgefield for many years - it was always my son's favorite pizza. In January 2019 I ordered pizza and salad for dinner. By midnight I was incredibly sick and ended up in the hospital with food poisoning the following morning. I haven't been that sick in a really long time. Two days later, I emailed the owner to let him know what happened and I suggested that they revisit their safe food practices. Dom Farago offered to refund the cost of what I spent - approx. $30 and wished me well. It's now mid-March and I still haven't seen a credit on my bank statement even after sending an email reminding him that I hadn't received the credit and providing him with my credit card number in case he was unable to access it for some reason. Needless to say, I will NEVER order from or recommend Planet Pizza. The food isn't that good and it's simply not worth a $3700. hospital bill. A one star rating is too much. read more

This place is horrible, don't eat here. My family ordered take-out: noodles with butter (for the kids) and an eggplant Parmesan hero for me and my wife. You would think that this would be a very easy order make but it was completely botched. The noodles had no butter on it, and were stiff and undercooked. The eggplant hero had no cheese on it. What kind of egg plant Parmesan hero has no cheese? Doesn't Parmesan imply cheese? Come on this is amateur hour. Plus it had one little teeny piece of eggplant on it and very dried out bread. You don't expect an Italian place in Connecticut to have food as good as Arthur avenue or Little Italy, or even Queens or Long Island.
