I really wanted to like my Christmas Mani/Pedi today, after my monthly aesthetician (waxing) appointment in Boulder, since I didn't have time to get back to Denver for one, and since salons are open later in Boulder. Unfortunately, my gel pedicure didn't trim my nails short enough, or ask me, and my dip manicure didn't make all my nails even when I wanted file only. More importantly, initially I said I'd match my hands to my toes, but later wanted a "white gold," and asked to look at the color swatches again. I was never brought them, and instead this gold was recommended. I said, sure, I'll try it, and I didn't like it that much with the dip powder, but she said it'd look beautiful once done, with the gel color on top. After 2.5-hours of my mani / pedi, by the time it was done, I thought the gold is way too yellow, not at all the white gold I wanted / for which I asked, but I didn't want to invest any more time, so now I need to re-do it. I even asked ChatGPT, to see if I was imagining this gold being terrible on my skin color, and even AI agreed it looks bad. So I'm disappointed, after also investing a lot of money, and needing to file a few of my toenails smooth, as some also had sharp edges, and I didn't want to rip my sheets. I wish I'd been more adamant about wanting to see the colors again to choose my "white gold" rather than just trusting.

Amazing service and experience with Jenny! She was super helpful with ideas and was really nice with some specific things I wanted to do with my nails. There are also alot of color options for whatever nails you want to get, which I loveeee!!

honestly love this place! i came here once to get gel x on my toes and acrylics on my nails. the retention on my acrylics are great!! it's been 4 weeks and there is still no lifting! great staff and they're really sweet. thank you!

I'm impressed each time I leave this salon! The staff is hospitable in ways I've never experienced at a nail salon, and the techs are well rounded. I've requested most services, from cat eye polish to pigment powders and 3D gels, they do it all! The techs have a great eye for details in reference photos so you can expect your nails to look just like, or very close to, your favorite pictures. I'm indecisive, so I came in with multiple reference photos that had attributes I really liked, and my hands came out looking better than anything I could have imagined. Also, they really get into the spirit of special occasions. For the month of December they did a spinning wheel give away where you could get complimentary services, or gifts. I got a super cute, tiny tea set that I used during my holiday party. I can't recommend this place enough!

As usual love coming here. It's like a small family. David usually does my pedicure and is always really friendly and does a great job! Jenny did my gel manicure and wow was she fast and did a great job as you can see on the pic. And the best part is they are right next to king Soopers so I get to do my grocery shopping before going home too! Awesome service, location and vibe :)

These guys are the BEST!! I had a bubble pedicure and got the most wonderful calf and foot massage! The polish job is perfect and she was delicate and amazing with my toe nails (have slight ingrown nails on my big toes). The massage chair was the most comfortable one I've ever been in in a nail salon (and I'm a massage therapist by trade, so I know what I'm talking about here). I'll never go anyplace else when I'm in town (we used to live here but moved, and are back in town visiting). David and Jenny were AMAZING. This is probably one of the best experiences I've had at a nail salon. David helped me so much for a well needed pedicure. Not only did he do an amazing job but I felt so comfortable with him. He made me laugh and I had a very nice conversation with him. I got a scrub, massage, a resin and hot stone massage. Jenny did an amazing with my dip. She asked me questions throughout the session and made sure I knew I could change whatever I wanted. She was so kind and very skillful. I WILL BE BACK! BEST PEDICURE EVER!! I went in last night at 5:50 and didn't realize they were closing soon. I was in desperate need of a pedicure and they were so sweet to take me anyways. I selected the best pedicure they had to offer and it was INCREDIBLE! Tina was amazingly strong and very thorough. Don't let her size fool you, she gave me the best 65 minute pedicure I have ever had! The spa was clean and the ambiance was lovely. I live up in the high country, Aspen, and I pay double the price for a less than mediocre experience - I will continue to come here for my pedicure needs when I am in Boulder! read more

I love the atmosphere, the cleanliness and the way they buff the polish off my nails, which is GENTLE and even. My dip manicure is dry (they do not soak your nails in water, which is better for your nails.). Plus their work is very consistent - I am always happy. If you get acrylics, you will want to see Linda and you will probably need an appointment. If you are a last-minute scheduling or a walk-in (which they welcome!), you might have a couple different professionals working on your nails and you may have to move chairs a few times. If I don't schedule in advance with a specific person, I'm used to bopping around as different people come in for set appointments and I need to move. If you don't like that, tell them in advance! For the dip manicure (which stands up to hot water much much much better than gel!) it regularly lasts me 3 weeks. I always get the brand that starts with a Z. They carry the unicorn brand of iridescent powders to go over any polish as well, which is fun. They have a French dip manicure available as a dip, but if you want a French dip manicure with tips other than white, it is a combination of a dip base and a gel tip. They have three books of little nail stickers from baby cats, hearts, gold designs.. the options are endless, which my daughter loves. They are always busy, especially in the evenings with a constant stream of customers and all ages from CU students to the residents of Frasier Meadows retirement community. Men come here too. It is quite a diverse spot (for Boulder)! Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings can be super busy and it is best to have an appointment. Mornings are definitely the least busy time. They are open seven days a week and on many holidays. I really appreciate that the TVs are muted and one has views of beautiful places to travel and the other is a cake-making channel.

For my first experience, pedicure was exactly advertised with shellac at set price. I've found, it depends upon "nail tech" taking care of you. However my last nail tech, lazy, she did not follow details, as listed/advertised, scrub bottoms of my feet and repeatedly, reminding her to do, specific details (+unaware, an extra charge $5) cuticles are to be pushed back (use wooden sticks), it should not be painful, as customer never hurt/bleed with use of specific oil to soften, cut ok sorry, meant clear extra skin the cuticles. It then allows, lacquer and/or nail polishes or whatever being used and closer at your natural areas. It can be as soon, as after pushing back, usually later while doing whatever you need, hours later and washing hands, lotion, etc., then pushed cuticles that are left (don't worry, grows quickly) will begin, to grow, as usual. If, done correctly, it should begin to meet or even cover polished areas. These days at these pop-up salons, even upon request, doing it after everything has been done, deceit. In past, when your hands are stuck in bowls from beginning, barely allowing it to soak; they begin process of whatever has been requested. For me, my skin grows rampantly; I've come out to look at them, it's obvious and even after you leave/go home and you take notice; call salon; and any reputable salon will if I pay extra $5, they always do it at the end, they will not even care, nor give idea it is necessary step in providing manicure and pedicure give you an idea that they have observed, every step, due to cost(s) and longevity, as they use stainless steel ones so they can clean it & barely touches, it's like "act" do have you begin after capable to experience was more of foot soak and paint nails. Now, I have received several pedicures (in my lifetime and usually, regular pedicures, includes: tiny massage with lotion and definitely, removed all calluses, scrubs bottoms of feet, cuticles pushed & cut. All of which, did NOT occur induration of my so-called "pedincluded scrubs bottoms of feet don't tell you up at certain amount, , They took care of everything, used to frequently visit, every two weeks and didn't need an appointment and it was never problem if, you don't have an appointment. I would be there, fairly long, taking my time, my body isn't what it used to be. As of late, I've heard, from my neighbors, even with an appointment, there is long wait and changes with, multiple technicians. Advice: whether you have an appointment or not, avoid weekends and/or come earlier in the day. As for myself, I have not returned since November 2018. Reserved, two appointment(s) for me and my daughter, we want mother and daughter time and we wanted to chat, she lives out of the state. I was never close enough, within the vicinity of being next to her and both separated. My daughter's first comment, we get into car, to go home, she immediately, began expressing, how expensive it was! They are bit steep on their prices. I would get shellac/dip and regular pedicure. Usually, when I'd go in for shellac/dip (everything) would be meticulous, everything done, exactly like manicure, instead of using nail polish, would use shellac/dip. Apparently, I'm mistaken, I found out the hard way. You have to pay for any and every thing, sometimes person doesn't scrub, bottoms of feet, well enough. I asked, 'can you scrub them better?' After, got shellac done, I asked, 'please, cut my cuticles' and they know, I always, ask for it to be done. Oh, when I went to pay, surprised to hear, it was more than usual. Then, it was pointed out, all of the additional fees were from, when I asked to scrub my calluses, she barely took excessive skin for an extra $10; for my cuticles, another extra $10; etc., it goes on and on. Also, the pedicure price goes up! Of course, you don't know, until you are sitting, soaking your feet, provide you menu of upgrades (much more, than anticipated) personally, I ask for basic pedicure (priced, as advertised) mom (Gina, caring & helpful) her work is done, meticulously and she ensures to takes care of everything, including calluses, all without extra ($$) charges. He explained, "price for shellac, does not include a manicure" I'm not asking for manicure and everything, that it comes with, I simply, wanted to cut back my cuticles.

I poked my head into this salon that I didn't even know was there yesterday to see if they could do a walk-in. It was the end of the day and everyone looked to be wrapping it up for the night. But one stylist said she could take me, so I gave her a shot. Her name was Wendy, she was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. I think we both had a good time while she was doing her thing. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and knew what she was doing by techniques that I hadn't seen in years, such as using a straight razor on areas of my hair, etc. Before I knew it I was thinking to myself that this is gonna be a great cut, and it was. Most definitely one of the best cuts I have received in a long time. She explained why she did this & that to control my type of hair and gave me really good tips to take with me. I will be back for more of the same in the future. This is the first review I've wrote on Yelp, it's just something that I'm not into. But during our conversation I was telling her that although our businesses are totally different, they are similar as far as clients and word of mouth are considered. So when I was telling her what a great job she did and that I didn't want to forget to grab her card so that I could return one day, she politely mentioned that if I really liked my hair that she would appreciate a review. And now that I am almost done, I'm glad I took five minutes to say thanks and I hope it helps her with her business. It's not easy to be out there working for yourself, I know how hard it can be. Sometimes a little support goes a long way. And if your looking to try someone new, give her a shot, you won't be sorry. Wendy, thank you for a great job, I'm really happy with it :) -Brian

At first, I wasn't sure why they kept doing this to mee and they confirmed, they do not want to do my nails, due to my disability. I purchased pedicure "Lavender upgrade" for extra $65, noticeably, running thru my quality time, barely placing, my feet into hot paraffin wax, not mere moment's pleasures and loosening up, part of extra(s) paid amenities. The owner felt, it's ok, skip some of actual amenities, like pushing back +cutting cuticles (should be been done earlier) prior to coloring nails, adequately entire coverage, lasting impression. Also, they can fully either push me +/or rid of me, quickly, skipping massage, so they can tend, to all person(s), continues to "walk-in(s) without any appointment(s). There's 2 reason(s), I make appointment(s), prefer not to waste day; and, my request(s) for certain nail tech, knows my preference(s). And, repeatedly, making requests "cuticles" blaze work of my nails; going to nail salon is like "treat" supposed to endure relaxation and for some respite. Last, my "cuticles" I've repeated, multiple times and throughout. Prior to payment, finally cut cuticles and it's strange, they didn't push them back, either. They clip cuticles in less than couple minutes and gets your CC and says, that'll be extra $10. second,I'm 2nd generation Asian American, my husband, also Asian and friendly candor and worst uses all of it, take advantage(s), due my ethnicity want to taken care of within time frame. Yes, I'm Asian, disabled and wear oxygen. However walk-ins without appointments, continues to come in and owner, accepts them, tells them to pick color, drops me, like hot potato. Then, she would ask another person unaware my preferences plus, she's unable to understand/speak English, why make an appointment? I should come in, as walk-in since they do not seem to turn people away.

I have been coming to visit Kim and her team for nearly 7 years. Even though I've move out to Longmont and the location is no longer convenient, I make the trek as I've yet to find another quick nail salon that offers this level of service and quality. The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. They take their time and are always willing to fix or change anything (even if it's me being wushu washy about color)! They are quick , but efficient! I have had nothing but amazing experiences at this location! And my 9 year old, whom Kim always remembers and asks about when she is unable to join me, would give you the same review (and she's pickier than I am!). read more

Always a fantastic experience. Jenny always does a phenomenal job with giving me the most beautiful nails. This visit, I chose an Acrylic French Set with design. Super friendly, the whole staff. The ONLY nail salon I've regularly gone to in Boulder since 2023, so 3 years so fa. Africa did wonderful for my Gel French pedicure. Loved it. Bubble Spa is my favorite thing to get during a pedi. I LOVE this place! I have been coming here for 8+ years since college and can't seem to find a better nail salon, even after moving to Denver. I still work in Boulder so I make a point to schedule nail appointments (or drop-in) here before I head home. They are amazing with natural nails, gel/shellac, acrylic, nail design, anything. 10/10, this was the second time going here. In my most recent trip there was a bit of a miscommunication (on my part!) and when I brought it to attention, my stylist wasted no time to fix it so that I was satisfied. I went to City Nails knowing exactly what I wanted. Helen did a great job. She used black and white acrylic powder to create the coolest nails that I have ever had. City nails is my favorite nail place in Boulder! The prices are very reasonable and they do a great job. I always appreciate how quick they are. Also, the technicians are very nice and chatty which makes it a far more welcoming atmosphere than other nail places.
