Very disappointed with the service and outcome of my nails. I tried the "dip" for the first time and the color came out completely different from the example. The color was suppose to be an iridescent purple and it came out as a very pale flat skin tone. They offered to redo my nails another time, but I am from out of town and did not have time to come back. I asked for the "dip" to be discounted and they refused. With me was my 7 year old daughter who had her fingers and toes painted. They did not sit her down at the table but rather made her hold her arm out to get her fingers painted. Then the woman continued to yell at her to stop moving so much! She's 7 and holding her arm in the air! Definitely do not bring your child here as they are clearly not kid friendly. They will offer to redo your nails... but who has time for that! Do it right the first time or offer a discount if you mess up. It's called good customer service. read more

I went in for a manicure and a pedicure both gel also with the manicure a full set with French tip. I was charged $100 total for the job and I tipped each nail tech $10. Upset because neither of them gave me a manicure yet I was charge $50 per job. Neither of them filed my nails or cut cuticles or anything like that my manicurist simply wiped my nails down with acetone because they did not have polish on them glued on some nails and did the French they came out pretty however I had skin all the way around them cuticles and that was messy and my pedicure lady did not file my toenails down at all did not do a full pedicure she did not remove any hang nails around my toes or cut any cuticles or anything like that she did not even file my toenails awful I don't recommend them to anybody read more

Got a full set and it turned out awful. Seemed like they just rushed to get me out. Every nail is a different shape and length and the polish isn't even on the whole nail. My (Bad) Break-Up with PK Nails: It breaks my heart to say that today was the last time I will be going to PK nails. After over an hour, I walked out with my dried out hands sporting my long acetone-fried finger nails. Let me back up though. I'll start by saying that probably 6 months ago was the first time I came here. The interior was slightly rough and I considered leaving many times but I am glad I didn't because my nails (acrylic full set + gel) were done perfectly! Since then this has been my go-to nail salon. This was big for me because prior to PK Nails I was never impressed enough by other places to be a repeat customer. During the school year I am on and off about long nails because it's simply easier to type 20 page papers without long acrylics but once May came, I became a religious bimonthly customer. Throughout this time I never had an issue with the staff. Always friendly, always fast and efficient and most importantly I always left LOVING my nails. Sure there have been times where I waited slightly long but nothing was as bad as today. Me and my sister (who is iffy about this place despite recommending it to me originally) walked in around 3:10 (Ellen had just begun on NBC). We quickly picked our colors from the new OPI collection near the front desk (another reason I will miss PK Nails). I had to get my old acrylics soaked off so I sat first. My sister got her gel polish painted on while I sat with my fingertips in a bowl or acetone. This was for about 35 minutes when finally my destroyed hands came out of the bowl. I then waited and continued to watch Ellen and then the start of the news while they finished Katie's nails. Side note: why it took so long to apply gel polish to her nails, I have no clue but oh well. Anyways so now we are at 4:15 p.m. and Katie is done and comes over to me and we are talking for a few minutes when we start to realize that the one lady who was running back and forth between us the past hour has now began to give some chickie who came in 10 minutes ago a pedicure. All of the ladies were working on customers, which would have been completely fine except for the fact that everyone in the place came in after us. So I told Katie lets wait 5 min, I mean I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them time to rotate or whatever. After 10 minutes I finally stood up and walked over to the pedicure lady (our lady) and asked how much longer she thought it would be. She pointed over to the lady by the resister who is the boss owner lady. So I walk over and ask (nicely I swear on my life) how much longer she thought it would be for me. Her response: 20 minutes. Shocked, I clarified that she meant 20 minutes before someone would even finish what I needed done. She confirmed. 2 0 m o r e m i n u t e s t w e n t y . No. So I grabbed my wallet and keys off my chair and walked to the front desk and asked how much I owed for the soak off and boss lady said she sorry but there's other people ahead of me. I replied that while I was sitting with my nails soaking in acetone, I watched EVERY SINGLE PERSON walk in. She said "oh they have appointments though". Oh really? Cause according to the sign in sheet, they are all walk ins. Therefore, I was here first. So tell me why I have to wait for 20 minutes on top of the 25 minutes I had just waited on top of the 35 minutes my nails were soaking?! I am sad that this happened but when you treat repeat, loyal customers like that, I just don't want anything to do with it. I understand the concept of waiting and I understand waiting a little when they try to multi-task people. What I do not understand is how you can prioritize 12 people getting pedicures, refills and full sets over someone getting a full set who came an hour ago. Needless to say, after boss lady told me no charge for the soak off, me, my sister and my ratchet nails left that salon for good. If you want to be treated slightly decent after months of being a continuous customer, don't go to PK nails. Yeah the reviews are good but then you never know when you may go in and be treated like shit. ----PREVIOUS REVIEW-------- PK NAILS is the only nail salon I have been a continuous repeat customer. They do a fast AND amazing job. I always get a full set (acrylics) with the gel polish and I am never in there for over an hour. I never have been anywhere else that provides actual quality service so so fast! And to top everything off, they are cheaper than most other nearby nail salons. They offer both a cash discount and a student discount :)! read more

I love this place. I come here with my wife, she tricked me into coming on Mother's Day years back when I told her it was her day and we would do whatever she wanted. Kim the owner addresses the wife by name which is pretty crazy because we are in there once a month to every six weeks. They are super busy somedays so we always come when they open. I get a pedicure without any polish. The massage chairs are awesome and I always leave relaxed. Most of the ladies, customers and technicians usually giggle when I come in, but I don't care, I am taking care of myself and enjoying time with my wife. There was one Saturday where all my errands were located on Baltimore Pike in Springfield. Fine, I was ok with that. I looked at my feet, and was like whoa. I need a pedicure after my tired feet were walking around for hours getting all my shopping done. Found this place on a whim, and I'm glad I did! They were able to accommodate me despite their closing time in 30 minutes. Chose my colors, and I was ready to go! The service was simple, fast, and much appreciated. One week later, and my toes are looking fab dressed in pink and a slight touch of glitter. The salon is super clean, surprisingly large, and service was attentive and friendly. No complaints from me! I absolutely love PK Nail Spa. I have been coming since it opened and recommended it to my family and friends. Kim, the owner, knows me and knows the people I have brought in as well. She has many customers and she remembers every single one. I have never had a bad pedi or mani, and my eyebrows always look perfect when I leave there. The entire staff is sweet and friendly, making for a comfortable environment. Walk-ins are accepted, but it can get crowded. My suggestion is making an appointment or going when the shop opens. I would give this place zero stars if I could. They are careless. They let me sit in a chair for 45 mins for a pedicure and did not fill the tub with water. The pedicure lasted a whole 2 minutes, and did nothing for my feet. Once it was time to get my nails done, the lady took a 15 min lunch break before even touching my nails. Every time I get the SNS manicure (dip manicure), there ends up being issues. Last week, I told the woman that 2 on my nails looked like they had cracks in it. She told me "no". I've been going to pk for years mostly because it's cheap and close but as i started to get my nails done more frequently I have found myself to be very disappointed in PK nails, first I always call to make an appointment or call in advance to see if they can take me ASAP and I always wait 45 mins don't tell me I can come in right now if I'll be waiting forever, last year I had a very bad experience with pk when 2 of my nails came off within 5 days of me getting them and I called about it and had to wait forever to fix a mistake that they made... this is officially my last straw as I show them a simple design and they all comeover to me and I can just tell there talking about me the lady grabbed my hand and yanked me to show the lady next to us and after about 13 tries on her trying to do the design of which she said she could I finally just said forget it and picked a simpler design in which she still couldn't do I left so unhappy w my nail uneven and i work at a place where costumer service is so important and I can say at pk they do not have costumer service. read more

She was very warm and welcoming, she even gave out beverage And kater during my appt,she.found that my ride had fallen thru and she got.me a ride home. I didn't have a good experience here. It felt really rushed and I had trouble conveying what I wanted with the nail technician. I wanted orange toenails for my pedicure but got pink. By the end, I had cuts on my big toe and two of my nails from them cutting my toenail too short and roughing up my cuticles. My gel mani looked OK, but it was a very rushed job like I said. I don't get manicures regularly, but for my sister's wedding last week five of us went to PK Nail Spa because it's next door to where she works (Studio 444!!) and she said they do a nice job. And I agree - my nails look great! I got the acrylic overlay and the woman (so sorry I did not catch her name) was very sweet and did a wonderful job. My nails are even in length, the polish looked perfect and even now, 4 days later, have yet to chip. The price was incredibly reasonable and the salon looked clean. This salon was recommended to me by a good friend. I hope she had a better experience than I did. The pedicure I got was okay, but I felt like she was rushing to get done. I noticed after that they had cut two of my toes and either didn't notice or didn't tell me. So I spent the next day in pain as my shoes hit right at the cut parts. I had an appointment to get my nails done during my lunch break. They stopped doing my nails in the middle and started working on someone else's. After I waited quite awhile I asked if they could come back to me because I was on short time because of my lunch break. They made me feel like an inconvenience and started talking back and forth to each other in a mocking tone in a different language. Maybe they werent talking about me, but it sure felt like it. In addition I asked for something done to my nails and the lady repeated it back and I thought we were on the same page. That wasnt what was done. When we were done she didnt even look at me she just said bye. All because they made me wait and I had to ask them to come back to me! I couldnt have been more polite. Kim at PK not only accommodated us as a last minute appointment, she made sure that we were seated right next to each other during our mani/pedi sessions. This place is a dump! Today was my third time there and to start my nail lady had a MAGGOT on her shirt! I told her and she got it off but that was disgusting! Then she dropped my dip powder and another nail tech took a nail file and made a pile of it and then proceeded to put the nail file back in the draw to use on someone!! I will not be returning. Long time customer but will never return. Kim lacks integrity. Walked in, waited 30 minutes, not crowded when lady and two kids walk in asking how long was the wait. Kim, owner, tells her 2 people are ahead of her. I am one of the 2. Lady gets anxious and keeps asking about the wait time. Kim takes the woman waiting with me and then starts working on the woman that walked in with the two kids. Making sure the woman in addition to the two kids are being serviced. I pick up my keys, my wallet and I leave. I call Kim later to let her know how unhappy I was about how I was treated. Kim tells me the woman had an appointment. She and I both knew that wasn't true because I was sitting there when she told the woman two people were ahead of her. This was the second time this happened. Last week was my last visit to that nail salon. I've already found a new salon close to work and they are doing an excellent job for me.
