A famy memeber recently moved to Belle Chasse, so naturally we will be visiting regularly. Our first need - COFFEE - as it can't be found in the house. When looking for our "go-to" source in Belle Chasse, we needed only to find PJs-Belle Chasse! The young staff has been super friendly and polite. Obviously management is taking the serious responsibility of teaching customer service. The coffee is excellent and the shop is super comfortable. We have been going to this PJs for years. Lately, they are out of everything I order and the granita machine is always broken. I decided to give it a try again today and ordered ahead as usual. Again, I arrived to be told they are out of pumpkin syrup. In November! And why can't they update the app with items they don't have rather than promoting a pumpkin latte as a seasonal drink option. I didn't give a one star because the young kids that work there are always so nice. Don't order ahead and be prepared with several options unless you want plain coffee. I typically do not leave bad reviews but this is not my first time being disappointed. I had been waiting 10 minutes to order and there was several people behind me. There were two employees working at this time. One continued to work the window and another made online orders. After waiting 10 minutes I asked should I get in the drive through since that seems to be the only orders being filled. I was told if I wanted too I could. Then the male employee replied we told you we would be with you. Can't you see I am making an order. This was in a very rude tone and the other customers and myself looked at each other. At this point myself and another lady left. Maybe more employees are needed. I feel if someone has been waiting in the store for a certain amount of time, someone should be able to pause the window or online orders to assist them. Love the coffee here! Convenient location and service was fast. They have a drive through and you can preorder on the web site.

They have a club where you enter your phone # and after X amount of $ you get a free coffee. Except when you enter your phone number and then the next barista comes along and just clears it because what to do after you enter it is unclear. (I watched this happen with another customer) The coffee's are unmarked so, if you get multiple coffees you have to just guess which is which cause the barista guessed at which is which. read more

The Christmas lattes and yogurt parfait are ok. But the staff are so incredibly unfriendly. And I'm really not a fan of them verbally asking me if I want to tip. It really makes you feel obligated and that makes me uncomfortable. The two times they were so overly miserable towards me that I said no I don't want to tip, I was so worried they were going to make my drink incorrect. Pjs is a great place to chill, work, and hangout! Their food/breakfast items are delicious, especially the beignets!! The staff is very nice and they love to put a smile on peoples faces! To me PJ's has some of the BEST coffee around. It smells and taste like coffee should. Drinking it black it goes down smooth and mellow, Ahhh! No Bite or Bitterness. This place is bigger than you would think it is. Has comfortable sofas and chairs to relax or study inn. It is always clean and staff very friendly. Did she just scratch her scalp, and then put her bare hands on my sandwich?! You have got to be kidding me... Let's start off with the positives. GREAT SERVICE, VERY POLITE WOMEN- no complaints there. Now the prices are not the most "cost efficient" but! but! the service is quick, and a perfect pace for the morning monster of coffee addicts. Now to my story, I usually come here and order the same thing every time, and the beautiful brunette assists me. PJ workers are known for their tag teaming efforts in order to achieve faster service and I am all for the team work. Sooooo while was taking my order the blonde woman decided to assist and I have no problem with that as I mentioned above. My problem was she decided to scratch her scalp and then, with her bare hands proceed to grab my sandwich and heat it up. ARE YOU SERIOUSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! No ma'am. No ma'am. No ma'am. As I understand that heating up someone's sandwich may be customary, there are still sanitary practices that MUST be in place. So since she decided to proceed to touch my sandwich with her bare fingers infused with scalp dander. I decided to drive off. I was immediately disgusted and lost ALL of my appetite- no thanks. No doubt one of the strangest franchise coffee joints I've witnessed. The "high schoolers" behind the counter really didn't have any customer service skills. Especially the one in charge. I didn't catch their names but I ordered an espresso and quite frankly the weakest espresso I've ever tasted then I ordered a bagel egg and cheese pre packaged sandwich and guess what they did? They handed it to me, wrapped in plastic, on a styrofoam plate and told me to heat it up in the old microwave behind me!! First of all microwave?!? Secondly styrofoam turns into poisonous chemicals leaching into your food when heated up. Then I tried to add a little sugar and cream to my espresso and guess what they use?!? Bleached refined white sugar packets and dehydrated coffee creamer in powder form! The worst possible substances that you could put inside your body! Another strange thing is the outside of the building looks so professional and clean but the ambiance inside is dull and boring! Nothing special, nothing cozy! If you want a weak cup of coffee for a lot of money and sub par products, then visit here! read more

Really nice PJ's, It almost feels like it belongs Uptown. It's really big with sofas and a few tables for sitting. I did however, find it a bit dark, There wasn't a lot of light coming in and the lights were kind of dim. That's awesome if you are looking for place with mood lighting, but if you are trying to get some work done it might be a bit difficult, The coffee was typical PJ's coffee. I kind of wish this PJ's was closer to me because I really dig how big it is, even if it is a little dim in here. read more

How have I not reviewed this place before...I've probably been here 40 times. I love the location because if I ever get caught by the bridge going up I can stop in right here and get a coffee. The owner actually frequently works here which I think id really cool. Cody is awesommeee, he's so nice and usually remembers our order. I've only been here once (so far). The employees are polite and attentive, and the inside is welcoming. My only issue is the lack of labeling. What are the flavors of the muffins? I used to love coming here but in recent weeks things have changed. The coffee is so weak now. I wasted a lot of time fighting the bridge just to get an xl iced mocha to toss in the trash. It tasted like straight up milk and chocolate syrup. I questioned briefly if coffee was even put in it, but I know it was bc I watched. Not on par with other pj's. I ordered iced tea the other day. Two large for $7.45. The black tea was so weak I asked for another flavor. The counter worker was polite and accommodating. The peach tea tasted like the hot water used to brew it came from the coffee maker. It tasted like it was made with dirty water. I was so disappointed. This is the only coffee shop in Belle Chasse. I would go out of my way to come here if they had a better product. read more

The coffee is good. However, we bought a box of coffee today (enough for 8 people or so) and they said it did not come with cups or sugar. One girl said you had to purchase the cups for $3 and some change. The other girl working there said she gave cups with it for free and there was nowhere listed on the menu for cups to be bought. Personally, if I buy a box of coffee, I want cups to go with it. If you are going to charge me for cups, I will not be purchasing my coffee from you any more. My mom and sister, who are quite the coffee drinkers, were visiting, and had to have their morning coffee fix, so I begged them to try PJs instead of Starbucks. I come to this location often because it has a drive through. The staff is very friendly, the service is always quick, and my drinks are always delicious. The location is very convenient, especially if you see that the bridge is up and decide to turn in for a coffee. I have yet to have a bad experience here! The reasons why I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars are because 1) their drive through speaker is broken, so you have to pull up to the window to order 2) the owner does not do fivestar like plenty of other locations, therefore you do not gain points for a free drink eventually and 3) I always get the same drink and size and occasionally the price is higher. I'm not sure if they charge for something extra sometimes or if it depends on the time of purchase, but paying an extra $0.70 can add up eventually. I will still come to this location, but if the price continues to be inconsistent, I will have to go elsewhere. read more

For the last year, I've sometimes gone here because it's closer to my work than Starbucks, but it's worth my time to avoid this and go to Starbucks from now on. The service and product here has steadily declined. The last three times I came I averaged a 15 minute wait for an iced coffee and pastry. Whether I go in or drive thru makes no difference. The staff is nice enough, but I blame management. To have only 2 baristas during the busy early morning shift is beyond me. The set up for the baristas to serve is inefficient, for example, when the person has to walk away to the drive thru window get sweetener because it doesn't seem to be kept in the prep area. The place looks run down and there is old dirt lining the floor around the edges of the food case, counters etc. Last week the doughnuts were stale. I also have an issue with the prices. Their large iced coffee is no cheaper than Starbucks, but is smaller than a large at SB. I want to support local businesses, but unfortunately I think this PJs will be a last resort from now on. read more

i have heard from time and time again from my coworkers that the drinks here are inconsistent but i wanted to give this business the benefit of the doubt and hope that maybe it changed ...(because it is right by my job..).....that being said i ordered a medium sized regular iced coffee yesterday .........the service here is bad (almost feels like you are interrupting their day or text messages to order a coffee....) my coffee tasted okay but slightly watery. .i have had better iced coffee at other pjs though.......i have given this pjs a handful of tries but each time i go there's something else wrong........ but mostly the service here sucks....... i really don't like going into a business where i hear the workers loudly trash talk people and very obviously complain about the owners from across the coffee house.............i will be going to mcdonalds (which is very close to pjs) to get coffee from now on because at least then it will be consistent and the employees at mcdonalds are very friendly and fast................. read more
