First time here and we absolutely loved it. Charming atmosphere, with an extensive menu. The staff were very nice and I noticed that they helped each other out as a team, refilling drinks, clearing tables and bringing out food, etc. I ordered the chicken parm and it was delicious. This place has gone way downhill! It used to be pretty good but now absolutely nasty place to eat at! First of all, there was no central A/C on a hot 90 degree humid night. Just a couple of cheap fans and a window A/C that's only fit for a bedroom, not an entire restaurant. Was the owner too cheap to turn on the central air? The employees must of been suffering that night. It was so bad inside that we decided to eat outside. It was hot and humid but at least breathable. The table we sat at was kinda dirty. I decided to wipe it myself. I ordered the chicken francese with a side of pasta in the same sauce and it was pretty disgusting! The pasta wasn't mixed in the sauce, just slopped on top of the so called buttery lemon wine sauce. The chicken was a bit chewy and combined with the so-called buttery lemon wine sauce made this meal nasty. The portion was big even on a small size but the food was just that nasty I only ate one chicken breast and left the 2nd one alone as I was hungry. I even didn't eat much of the pasta, it was that bad. Even my mother who I gave a piece to said it wasn't good at all. Good thing I didn't complain as the waitress threw an attitude when asking for a bag to put the food my parents wanted to take home by slamming the bag on the table. How low class really! The only good out of this experience was a clean bathroom and that's it! Absolutely disgusting meal with bad attitude service over a bag is why I'll never come back. The pizza is excellent whether onsite or takeout. However, apps are typically cold and/or soggy when ordered via takeout. I have given up ordering french fries, onion rings, and garlic knots. The metal containers with plastic lid lead to condensation and are a terrible way to provide take out for these items. Coming from near Philly, it is more typical to have these items delivered in paper bags - to ensure crispness. I wish more take out restaurants in NY did this. Bacio's is not alone in this soggy dilemma. I really miss hot crispy french fries. Also, our last order the pizza was also cold. read more

I'd give this place a zero if I could. The food arrives quickly, but that's about the only positive experience. The food is sub-par. The service is even worse. I made a specific request in my order. They failed to oblige. When I called to complain, the hostess politely apologized, but offered no solutions. The manager that followed was snappy and rude, and even called back to demand that I return the unsatisfactory food upon delivery of its replacement. Fine! I didn't want it anyway! I wouldn't have made this post, but the driver was also rude. If you're into mediocre food and an almost complete lack of customer service, you've found one gem in the Hudson valley. We ordered the Veggie pizza for delivery and it was really disappointing. There were so many veggies-literally like a half inch layer totally blanketing the pizza- that is was almost nauseating and we didn't even want to finish it. The spinach was in big wet clumps and the mushrooms and olives canned; there were soooo many onions even my hubby, who loves them, didn't want to eat more than a couple slices. Bummer :( read more

I love going to Bacios, they always have excellent food (love their pizza), their cappuccinos are made to perfection, and the tiramisu is delicious as well. I either order take out (approx 20 mins from when I call it in around dinnertime) or go to lunch/dinner. My only complaint is the noise when the place is packed. read more

i've heard multiple times from friends that the service is incredibly slow here, and so we as a group have opted for other restaurants in the area- but personally i'd never experienced particularly slow service worth complaining about until today. we arrived and the waitress/hostess watched us walk in and sit down to join a friend that was already enjoying her lunch. it was pretty busy, so i walked up and asked the waitress/hostess if i could just get us menus, hoping to help her out a little. 25 minutes later, my friend was done with her lunch and no one had approached the table once to ask her how it was OR even taken our drink order. my friend went up to the counter and asked for a box for her food, the girl behind the counter brought her a box but didnt even knowledge that myself and my other friend were sitting there- menus open waiting to have our orders taken. my friend paid up at the counter and left. ANOTHER 10 mins went by, where the waitress walked by us multiple times and helped others who had come in after us, but when i tried to get her attention you would think we were invisible. keep in mind, this was the same waitress/hostess that watched me walk in and sit down AND watched me take a menu for myself and my friend, so there was no way she didnt know we were waiting to be served. if i hadnt had a particular item in mind for my lunch, we would've gotten up and walked out. but finally the waitress acted like we'd appeared out of no where and asked if anyone was helping us- she was the only waitress there, who else could have been helping us? this same service continued throughout our meal. my friend asked for napkins, we never got any. and no one asked once how our meal was, despite half the place clearing out while we were eating, meaning there were less people for her to be focused on therefore we should have had more attention. i don't completely blame her, i would say they were under staffed- but what really got me was that she didnt seem to be stressed when she was serving others, she just seemed to be flat out ignoring us. it was a major disappointment considering that i do always enjoy my food when i go there. i hope they can up there game so that they can change this reputation of being slow that i've heard so much about, and now experienced first hand! read more

Bacios is one great place to find quick Italian food . If you are a fan of chicken parmigiana heroes or cheesy pastas , this place is a must . We had lunch at Bacio's after visiting Vassar. I am gluten free but my husband and son are most definitely not. I was thrilled that they offed gluten-free pizza. I ordered an small eggplant one which was actually quite large (I brought a couple of slices back to New York with me and polished them off the next day). My husband and son both tasted it and thought that it was really good. They both had non-gluten meals, a veal parm sub and a broccoli rabe pizza and said they were excellent. The waitress was super helpful when I asked about the gluten-free pizza and the chef came out to see me afterward to find out if I liked it. read more

Quality is all over the place. Sometimes you get a hot, fresh pizza and then tonight we got -- after waiting and hour and fifteen minutes -- a pizza that had clearly been cooked nearly an hour ago. When organizing a fundraiser for a student org on campus, Prohealth, we asked Bacio's if they would be willing to provide a food donation, and we could not believe their generosity. They gave us ~40 orders of penne alla vodka, garlic knots, and salads for our fundraiser, which wound up being a huge success. We really can't thank them enough!! :) read more

We really enjoy Pizzeria Bacio not only for their pizza but for the fresh salads and other entrees as well. I really enjoy that they use great fresh spinach and romaine in their salads as well as other fresh veggies and this holds true for the sides on the entrees. For those trying to eat a bit healthier you can get a very nice piece of salmon on spinach with tomatoes or you can get more traditional Italian-American dishes such as chicken or eggplant parm or a wide variety of pasta dishes.
