I do not know how anyone can say there cardboard pizza is good. When the pizza came out my heart sank. It looked like they went to Walmart and picked up a frozen pizza and heated in the oven and served it. I ate one piece and could not eat anymore. The fettuccine Alfredo. Caprese salad and Caesar salad was good. The service was very good but the pizza is disgusting. read more

My family and I sat down to a fairly empty restaurant. We ordered our food and waited around 20 minutes for the appetizer. The garlic bread was extremely garlicy. Not my favorite but some people may like it I asked for a side of marinara sauce to dip it in, and was told that's $2 extra. I agreed. It was ok. Then we waited an additional 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The food was okay which is why I gave it a 2 instead of 1 star. Then it took forever to pay as well. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Any self respecting Italian Restaurant owns an espresso machine. No espresso should have bin my first clue. Second the extra large is a large anywhere else. Third make the pie right red onions should never be on a pie only white and get the order right. No attention to detail. Last don't cough on my food. Train your people better. read more

When I first went into this place I feel like I was walking into a home, it has a warm atmosphere like you are eating in a nice lovely home. The servers are friendly people and if you just happen to left something in their restaurant by accident and came back to get it back (like an umbrella for example they keep any lost items safe so that those that lost came get it back. Also as for the food I order a personal 4 slices pizza with mushroom and the pizza was delicious, the cheese and the sauce was good like the flavor explode into your tough, the mushroom on the pizza was okay but the crust was excellent, they made that bread crust part of the pizza that taste so good it enjoyable to eat that part. Excellent meal, Leigh was attentive and welcoming. I never eat an entire meal but I did this time. I don't remember the exact name but it was Parmesan chicken in a broth with ribbon noodles. It had such a good flavor and was not as heavy as many Italian dishes. The Holiday Sangria was excellent and presented nicely. The restaurant was hopping when we went but everyone worked well together, we had no issues! So glad we tried it. read more

We were/are regulars here and the pizza is great. My wife gets the gluten free and loves it. The last couple times we have come, the food takes way too long to come out. Even in a dead restaurant, waiting an hour for 2 pizzas is unacceptable. Service has also been slow We will try again because we love the food but, if it doesn't improve there are plenty of other Mount Dora restaurants in town to support. ***just as an additional comment since this review was responded to. We had been intrigued by this place for years and finally made our way there yesterday. Such a wonderful surprise! Very cozy ambiance, especially the bar area. Place was packed at the time we arrived, luckily we got the last table and our host promptly facilitated it for us. Prices are reasonable. We ordered the Sunday special and I particularly liked the fact that garlic knots are marinated in real garlic and there was no sauce to dip in, therefore garlic was the main star. Pizza was delicious, very crunchy on the crust and bottom; we replaced sausage for pepperoni together with olive tapenade and plum tomatoes. However, the star of the day was the cheesecake with berry sauce, both home made. I told my husband I could almost lick the plate! I also shared the comment with Bayleigh, our sweet server who had explained desserts in detail upon request, and she said, they wouldn't mind if I did! :) Bayleigh was extremely courteous and attentive, and came our way all the time with a smile. She has great customer service attitude, you can tell even from her body language. I am looking forward to visit them soon and once again enjoy the experience! It's about a 7 minute walk from downtown Mount Dora - so well within reach if you park in one of the Public parking areas downtown. It's also not that expensive - we had a group of 7 and the total came out to just under $100, including tip. We ordered the garlic knots, two large pizzas, flatbread, soda and two side salads. Don't take the 3-star rating as bad. The place is okay. Staff is friendly, but it's very loud inside when busy. Waiter was friendly, though he went from that to a little irritated back to friendly a few times. Service was a little slow, but again, the place was packed. Not a lot of large tables - they had to pull together two tables at the front for us. Nice seating outdoors while you wait. Young staff and packed on a Saturday during holiday season. The pizza was...okay. On the bland side, a little over-cooked and dry. One pizza was a meat lovers - and the meat all seemed to have the same taste (pepperoni, sausage, etc.) The other was one (I can't remember the name) that had artichoke, onions, mushrooms, feta-cheese? Again, bland - okay, a little dry. Some pizza places bring out very oily pizzas, which I don't like. This was on the other side of the spectrum. My grandson had lasagna and it looked okay - he loved it, he said. Garlic knots were basically bready rolls with garlic on top. Side salads were okay. So it's okay. Nothing special. Good place just to fill up on less expensive dining than hitting a down town Mount Dora spot. read more

The ambiance reminds my so much of my beloved San Francisco. The beer and wine list are beautiful. Excellent assortment of ciders (no Framboise though, bummer). The pizza is alright. I'm a New Jersey native so my pizza snobbery is literally a native trait. I found it too saucy, not enough cheese and when I held the slice up, it bent in half.
