Walkable from downtown, about 10 minutes through a neighborhood. Inside what appears is an older house. Patio seating is the old porch with three tables, but not outside. Inside is setup to allow big groups to sit together if needed. Pizza, calzones, salads, lasagna and pasta all on the menu. We tried the 10 inch Supreme, which is six pieces and feeds one. And the chicken caesar salad, which costs more ($15.50) than the pizza ($14.75); this in Dec 2024. The chicken is delicious, very fresh and the dressing mixed perfectly. However, don't think lettuce, a couple pieces of chicken, Parmesan and croutons should be at this price point. The Supreme pizza was excellent with a good crust, just the right amount of sauce and loaded with meats of sausage and pepperoni, plus onion in just the right amount. Every bite was amazing and even my friend who didn't order pizza was asking for a piece after they tasted a bite. Bathrooms were a bit disgusting, so bad that my friend chose to forgo. Plenty of parking if you're driving. Service is prompt and friendly. Quick drinks. Checked on us several times before we ordered. Food came out in roughly 15 minutes. Kept checking back and brought the check out early because they had already closed at 9p. I would eat here again, just use the bathroom or wash your hands before you visit the restaurant!

The house was nice and cozy. They had different dining area and a bar. I ordered the chicken Florentine. I also ordered the bean soup which had a middle eastern flair . Very good. The Pinot Noir was also good. The chicken Florentine was too thick and the pasta was well over 1/2 my plate which, in my opinion, is way too much. You just shouldn't eat that much as a side dish. So the cream sauce wasn't enough for the amount of pasta I got. I boxed up my meal and only took 1/2 of the pasta and asked for extra sauce. Vivian the waitress brought me a container that I thought was way too much for the noodles I packed up but she said that's the only size they offer and charged me $4.50 . Ridiculous! I feel the chicken should have been smaller too. Mine looked a 10oz piece of thick chicken and inch thick. My advise is have a smaller portions available. Maybe part of their clientele like these huge portions but believe me a lot of us don't.

I decided to try a different pizza place rather than my go to tonight. I'm sorry to say I regret having done that. I ordered the 10" thin crust pepperoni pizza and the cheese garlic knots with garlic oil. I felt both were overcooked, as you can see from the photos. The pizza wasn't anything to write home about. And, the garlic knots didn't have any garlic oil, I'm thinking that it dried up with the rolls being so overcooked. I was looking to try something new, and was excited about trying PizzAmore because they have a lot of good reviews. Unfortunately, I found them to be just average.

We got a pizza that was burned last week and it was disappointing, however when we told them about it they offered us a free pizza. So the next weekend we tried again and were happy to receive a good pizza the second time. Anytime a business will do the right thing like this, it is much appreciated! Thanks for winning us back as customers!

My husband and I attended the Light up Christmas in Mt Dora tonight. We had parked our car in the vicinity of PizzAmore and decided to stop in for dinner. There was quite a crowd dining there and we hoped that meant the food was good. Did we EVER get fooled! The service was very efficient and we were seated quickly; they got our drinks and food order in right away. Unfortunately they brought my order of the meatball trio and a caprese salad out a full 15 minutes before my husbands personal pan pizza arrived. The marinara sauce on the meatballs was thick and dark from overcooking....with too much garlic and no other flavor except the bitter sauce. The meatballs were too salty and overloaded with garlic. The caprese salad had fresh thick slices of tomato and fresh mozzarella...which was ruined by a balsamic vinaigrette that tasdted like they poured sugar into it....sadly the flavorless basil pesto could not compete with the sweet dressing. My husbands pizza Margherita also had the cloying, thick and garlicky marinara sauce on it. However, the crust was crispy and thin as requested. With all that said, we wont be back. I guess our palates are too sophisticated being Italian New Yorkers and having raised two Executive Chef sons. I bet if they could get the sauce right, dont over salt and go easy on the garlic they just might be able to pull off a decent meal for their patrons . read more

I had a good feeling about this place and I was right! Great food in a nice atmosphere. Had lunch here and enjoyed garlic knots bruschetta-never seen this before and it was great. Also had the garlic Parmesan wings and a yummy small cheese pizza that was only 6.50! The entire meal was under $30 for a lot of food- morethan enough for my mom and I. I dont get to Mount Dora often but will look forward to returning hereon my next visit ! read more

I love this little place! The atmosphere is very cute and cozy and their pizza so yummy! I like their specials everyday and it's Caesar salad is so yummy though they can go a bit light on the dressing. Love this place for lunch and kid's menu is pretty decent and comes with a drink for $7 read more

PizzAmore' has the best pizza I've ever tasted and their gluten free pizza is even better. I can't give enough praise for their food quality, service and prices. We have never had a problem other than dealing with their popularity. There are times when seats are unavailable. Though, their new location is much better than the old one. There is plenty of room to move around and on a hot summer day the AC runs perfectly. If I'm ever near Mt Dora, I'm eating at PizzAmore' read more

My family has eaten here and taken out pizza at least 10 times. I have to say the staff is always super friendly and the service excellent. Prices are reasonable and we love the pizza. And for being loyal and getting your restaurant card punched 10 times - one per order - takeout, delivery, or eat-in, you get a free pizza , any size including ex-large with any toppings you want even the expensive toppings regardless of what you ordered before. We got an ex-large with pepperoni, mushrooms, red-onions, jalapeños, red peppers, and the best sausage I ever ate on a pizza. What a great deal !! Great food, service and atmosphere. Just a friendly suggestion. When eating/drinking at the bar, you are subjected to the constant banging of the batwing gates behind the bar, as the waitresses go back/forth with food. What purpose do these gates serve? I doubt that customers would be going behind the bar without this imaginary barrier. Please remove them for a better atmosphere while eating read more

The pizza was very good. However, the wait staff was horrible! Had to wait for a table to be clean , waitress was distracted and more concerned with talking with the other wait staff then taking care of the customers. Solid Florida pizza. I tried out PizzAmore because it was the top pizza joint in Mount Dora. It was pretty good, but not my type of pizza (I prefer a NY style). Crust was a little too thick for my preference. Margherita was not a true margherita as well. They don't make it with a red sauce. It's really a caprese. Great selection of craft beers. We'll be back to try a different pie and have some brews. read more

Nothing more to say: incredibly bad pizza. Crust is spongey flavorless, sauce is highly acidic and cheese is low grade. Hungry Howie's destroys this place. Garlic knots like lead balloons. This is Central Florida pizza hell. Atmosphere only reason not one star. read more

Are we eating a different pizza from everyone else? Came here twice already and both times left super disappointed. First time we ordered a Margherita Pizza and out came a no sauce pizza with cheese melted all over it with slices of tomatoes on top... what? Who creates their own version of a Margherita pizza. If you have two, please ask which one your customers would want! Cheese is low grade, crust is awful. Came a second time and tried the "Margherita Classico" and it was a huge disappointment. The sauce isn't that great, crust wasn't great, and there was hardly any cheese on the pizza. One slice didn't even have mozzarella on it. Won't be coming here again, super sad because we just moved here and we had high hopes since it's always busy and the reviews on here. Wishing we had a Flippers near by. Staff is super friendly and their beer is awesome, rating on food alone. read more

I took my boyfriend here for the first time and had a great experience. Estelle was our server and she was amazing. She was very prompt, friendly and wasn't afraid to joke around a bit with us. Worst place ever. Awful tasteless chicken and noodles were undercooked and soggy at the same time. It took 40 minutes to get the food. When I complained a girl with lots of attitude came by to talk to me, no idea who she was. After that our waiter was really nice and changed the noodles for some fettuccini, when the fettucini came there was a long blonde hair in it! By this time I was just done and really sick because I have low blood sugar and if I don't eat I might end up at the emergency room. We just paid and left. Awful experience, never again. read more

Ok so far the best gluten free pizza option in Central Florida. Handmade crust not pre-frozen or molded. Atmosphere was like a small pizza shop but had a home like feel. We had the antipasto salad as well. Definitely a new take on antipasto (no meats on this one). Featured a super fresh and rustic flavor combination in each bite. We will be back. My server, Trey, was an absolute sweetheart. Now, $22 for pasta may seem like a bit much; however, if you play it right you'll have delicious leftovers. Good food re-heats well. This is the case with entrees from Cafe Gianni. Next visit, I'm thinking the Puttanesca or trying their Vodka Sauce. Probably some cannoli. Definitely the tiramisu. Heck with it - I'll try it ALL. Great food, service and atmosphere. Except for one giant annoyance.... When eating at the bar, you are subjected to the constant banging of the batwing gates behind the bar, as the waitresses go back/forth with food. What purpose do these gates serve other than to be annoying AF? I doubt that customers would be going behind the bar without this imaginary barrier.
