This was our first visit to Restaurant Santa Lucia. We wandered in on a busy Saturday evening as…read morethe surrounding restaurants mostly had line-ups outside their doors. Santa Lucia only had one table filled, so we decided to give it a try. The interior is really dated, but looked very clean. There was the typical Italian music playing in the background and it had the ambiance of a 70s Italian restaurant. The tablecloths are plastic red-chequered. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. My husband and I asked if the pizzas were big enough to share, so she went and got a plate to show us the size. We decided to share a pizza and a Caesar salad, so she kindly offered to put half a pizza and half a salad on each of our plates. The pizza was really tasty, with a fairly thin crust (just as we like it) and plenty of toppings. We had the Amatriciana which had ham, bacon, onions, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was nice and crisp on the bottom and piping hot. The Caesar salad was fine. It was perfectly dressed and tasted great, by my one complaint was that the bacon bits were imitation. Other than that we had no complaints about the food. We would go back.

Needless to say, we came back to Piazzetta on the seventh night! The prices are great, especially if you just split a 13" pizza between two people. You can get it made half and half so that was the best way for us to do it and still get two different tastes! The three cheeze pizza was my favorite, and my friend liked the Sicilian (I'm not a fan of spicy so that was what was great about having half and half). The decor is also very nice and pastel/colored, feeling upscale but also fun and bright. The servers were very friendly and helpful. They even warm your plates on a little contraption that they bring over and attach to your table. Once your pizza arrives, they put the plates in front of you and then put the pizza on the warming plate, so that it stays hot the whole time you're eating it! We loved everything about this place. Definitely recommend!

Cheese & Basil Pizza - 4/5 This was a good personal size pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. The pizza sauce was a Pomodoro sauce, with mozzarella and fresh basil. A very nice simple delicious pizza. Italian Raclette - 4/5 This Italian roll was very good. It comes with Dijonnaise sauce, Swiss cheese, semi-dried tomatoes, red onion, grilled smoked prosciutto, mild salami, white wine onions, La Religieuse raclette cheese (Fromagerie du Presbytère) and chives, served with Dijonnaise sauce. This is a very good Italian roll to feast on. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at La Piazzetta. It's worth given this restaurant a try if you're in the area.

I had to plan a…read moredate and decided that this spot would work since it's a cute restaurant and definitely has that romantic vibe. When you walk in you can see that the restaurant isn't that big so things are defiantly cozy. The kitchen is big and is an open concept so you can see everything. The decor is very italian pizzeria style as well. To eat we started with the fried calamari which were fantastic the dipping sauce was different from what I I've had before they use some type of Dijon mix and honestly it really works. For my main I got the parpadelle and my date got the calzone. Both dishes were fantastic and had a pretty authentic taste, my Nona would even approve. However with the entree already devoured we had a hard time finishing our mains anD as bad as I wanted dessert I just had no more room left. But I will be coming back to try them cause they looked to die for. I recommend common there and having a taste of as many things on the menu as possible because it's that good! The only down side is if you plan on coming on a busy night finding parking is a nightmare !

They are all freshly baked in a pizza oven (seems to be gaz burner). The crust is thin and soft. It's good, not great. Ingredients taste good and fresh. Apparently we went to Little Italy tonight so Mum and Dad could eat pasta…read more I went because I was promised Italy. As an Italian Greyhound, I assumed this was some sort of cultural heritage excursion. Pizzeria Napoletana sits right on the corner with a huge outdoor dining area, and on a beautiful evening almost everyone was outside. More importantly, there were several other dogs dining with their humans. Finally. My people. We all seemed to understand our responsibilities: sit quietly, look adorable and remain on high alert for anything that might accidentally hit the ground. One of the coolest things about this restaurant is that it's bring your own wine. There's even a wine shop directly across the street that they recommend. Mum and Dad went over, selected their bottle and brought it back to dinner. I respect a restaurant that makes the humans bring their own beverages while I bring my own personality. Then the food arrived. Mum had the Penne Romana, while Dad went with spaghetti pomodoro. Two enormous plates of pasta landed on the table. I received zero penne. Zero spaghetti. For anyone keeping track, I am Italian. This felt personal. Then Mum decided she wasn't finished and ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert. Obviously I couldn't have chocolate, so for once I will concede that withholding food from me was an appropriate management decision. Possibly the first of this trip. The restaurant itself is large inside, but the outdoor area is really what made the evening for me. It's lively, casual and clearly comfortable having dogs around. There wasn't a water bowl brought to our table and there's no dog menu, but they do have a huge doggie water bowl outside beside one of the restaurant's best features: A tiny vintage Fiat covered completely in a gorgeous blue-and-white Italian tile design. Naturally, Mum made me pose with it. I have to admit... We looked good together. One small Italian icon standing next to another. Dogba's verdict: 4.7 paws out of 5. Italian heritage experience: excellent Number of fellow canine diners: encouraging Humans bringing their own wine: bizarre but efficient Pasta dropped on floor: disappointingly little Communal dog water station: appreciated Tiny Italian car: tiny Italian dog approved Chocolate mousse: apparently I'm "not allowed" Respect shown to actual Italian at table: needs improvement Would return. Next time I'm bringing my own wine too. By wine, I mean chicken.
