Tried Pizza Twist and had a good experience overall. They have a very small parking lot (maybe three spots) but there is street parking at times. Inside, seating is limited and it's definitely more of a takeout-style place. nThey had a deal going on for 2 large pizzas for $40, which was perfect for trying a couple of their signature fusion flavors. We got the Shahi Paneer Pizza which had a butter sauce, cheese, red onions, garlic, ginger, and spiced paneer. It was really flavorful and a fun twist on traditional pizza. I also liked the Bombay Garlic Veggie Pizza, which had their creamy garlic sauce and came with veggies, mozzarella, and a BBQ drizzle. It was savory, tangy, and had alot of toppings. The pizzas did take a little while to come out, but other than that service was good and the staff was somewhat helpful. If you're in the mood for Indian-style fusion pizza, this is a solid spot. read more

So disappointed. Looking at the menu and they have so many options from vegan to gluten free and I was like. Heck yea!!! And Nope. I ordered veggie cauliflower crust vegan pizza and no flavor weak pizza. When I say weak it was falling apart. The fries were good but soggy and spicy. Halloween trick or treat for the family! Treat for my vegan son - I was told all their doughs are free of eggs. Trick for the family- as to be vegan friendly , we got to order vegan cheese for extra charge on the other pie. The server was nice. The wait for my order was lesser time than expected. I may be the only New Yorker that doesn't like pizza (hold onto the dramatic gasping.) Therefore I haven't tried the pizza here. BUT. I will say they look phenomenal. Paneer pizza???? Hell yes. I think I'll try it someday. Those pictures look stunning. Butter chicken pasta is delicious and the desserts are delicious. This is a really cool spot. I gotta stop being stubborn and try the pizza. You have to go to this place with the right mindset. Know that you're getting a thicker crust. Know that you're going here for the fusion aspect. And go try some of their more unique flavors. We got the chicken tikka pizza and it was axtjally quite good. The chicken itself was pretty flavorful and it was nice to have a bit of a spin on the standard toppings. If you want pizza with something else , want to explore something different along the regular menus you're welcome. They have wide variety of pizzas and other foods. Top notch customer service and excellent delivery service. No restroom and parking facilities. Very little seating arrangement. Most of the people ordered for to-go . It'll be better for you if you order at last 15-20 minutes earlier because they'll make it fresh. Highly recommended for everyone. read more

Everything you know about Chicago pizza and Indian food but have you thought of combining those two together? In this neighborhood, there are many Indian restaurants with several fusion. Last time I went to one of those fusion restaurants, sadly I was so disappointed of the food and never would even want to tried it again. That is why I didn't have high expectations when I decided to try this restaurant and the conclusion was surprisingly really good. My friend said there was a new pizza store opened up around the corner and he wanted to try it. When we got there, it was packed inside and out. After entering, the owner said it was their grand opening day and they are giving away pizza. It was prefect time to join the party. They only give away vegetables topping or plain. I got a couple of different slices to try without know the name of any of them. The pizza dough was thick and had a really good crispy crust. The fusion pizza with Indian spices was weird but surprisingly good. I would definitely come back to try their chicken, lamb or beef on the pizza. The owner said they are expanding and opening more stores in the future. read more

Probably one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. There was legit no sauce on the pie, barely any toppings, and it was all utterly flavorless. I really appreciated their creative menu but the execution was subpar at best. This place is a total skip and not worth your time or money. read more

The tandoori chicken pizza is amazing & I love the fact they control the spice level (because their extra spicy so ahhhh good!) I've also tried the chicken tikka (which wasn't too bad). Talk about horrible service. My brother-in-law ordered two specialty pizzas from this place (1 chicken tikka and 1 meat lovers). After to getting to our house we realized that they had given him the wrong order which was 1 chicken tikka and 1 butter chicken pizza. After calling them, they initiated with saying that it was our fault for picking up the wrong pizza. It is at this point I got involved and took over the ordeal. After explaining that it isn't the customers responsibility to make sure they are receiving the correct item. It's like a customer at McDonalds opening each sandwich at the register to make sure it's correct. Absolutely ridiculous. Hoping to have them at this time at least deliver the right order (which they have a delivery service) they flat out refused! I said fine and told them I would bring the pizza back. Finally after arriving with the wrong buffalo chicken pizza they had me wait again for the meat lovers to be finished which was an entirely 45min-1hr later. I decided this to open the box and guess what I found? A BURNT PIZZA!! After asking them if this was burnt they said no, that's normal. I've posted the picture below for your own opinion. You know what they say about when you assume? I was disappointed that my gluten free pizza was the same cardboard disc with cheese and sauce that every average pizza establishment offers. Silly me, I saw Chicago and pizza together, I thought I'd get something closer to a deep dish. They never said Chicago style did they? Whatever. I came with a friend and we both walked out pretty satisfied. We ordered the chicken tandoori pizza, cheesy bread, and 10 piece wings in 3 flavors. The pizza we ordered was supposed to be half cheese and half toppings, but it came with toppings on the entire pie. We pointed it out and they gladly offered to make a new pie. As to the pizza, the tandoori chicken was really good, definitely recommend it. Didn't try the cheese, I was too full by the time it was ready. We took it to go. The wing flavors we got were mango habanero, buffalo and Indian style. All flavors were amazing and in terms of quality and taste, all the wings were better than the one's you find in most pizzeria's and particularly in the pizza chains (pizza hut,domino's ,papa johns); felt like I was eating real meat. The cheesy bread was just OK. Overall this is a pretty good alternate to the pizza chain restaurants, plus a good halal pizza option. read more

What is in a name? Just because you call something "chicken tikka masala pizza" or "butter chicken pasta" doesn't mean that it will magically taste like those items, without some efforts to make it taste like those items. No effort was made. 35 minutes. That's how long it took this establishment to make the worst pizza and pasta that I've ever tasted. If you must eat here--and I don't know why it would ever be a must, get the indian style breadsticks and go. read more

After hearing all the good things about this place from friends we decided to try it out. There are many restaurants now serving up pizza with Indian toppings on them but this place hit the spot. We ordered one butter chicken pizza, one paneer tikka masala pizza and 2 orders of wings. The wings we got were mango habanero and chicken tikka masala, both of which were fantastic. The only thing about the wings is I wish they were crispier but granted that's on us for not ordering them that way. The cheesy bread was amazing as well. The service here is top notch, every single person was super friendly here. They were very accommodating and on point with their service. They offer blue cheese with the wings which is a plus for me since some spots in the area don't offer it or charge you more for it. Everything is reasonably priced as well. For 5 people we spent about $100 for all that food. I will definitely be back, I hope they open up a mini bar as well, but overall the food was delicious. read more

The food was prepared quickly and was ready when we arrived for pickup. Our order included the chicken tikka pizza and garlic breadsticks. While the chicken tikka pizza looked delicious, the flavor was a bit underwhelming due to the lack of sauce and an overall dry taste. I questioned how it was different from a typical pizza. This is my second trip to this location. Food was great I had the all meat pizza and the chicken tikka masala pizza. Unlike curry on pizza their crust had non generic taste to it and compliments the rest of the pizza well. I'll try some of the other items on the menu the next time I stop by. They have only been open for a few weeks so turnaround time and the signs inside the shop will be ready soon.. once everything gets settled this will be a go to spot for pizza! read more

I had VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS for this store. The size of the large pizza was too small. The bread of the pizza was so unappetizing. The cheese wasn't even satisfying. There was barely BARELY ANY CHICKEN on the pizza. The chicken wings are so small and they smell like eggs. It tasted very rubbery. I'd say go give it a shot. They have a unique twist on pizza and we enjoyed it. Only problem with them is that all their specialties are the exact same flavor profile just on different food. The Masala pizza and anything else that sounds "ethnic" tastes identical to anything else that sounds "ethnic". The taste is great, toppings are hefty, pizza is filling. I don't know about their whole menu but the pizzas I ate (tandoori, butter chicken, and chicken tikka) were all really tasty. Definitely has Indian flavor. Some of these reviews are funny especially that girl saying there should be a healthy option... you're eating pizza, nothing healthy about it anywhere you go. Really delicious Indian fusion pizza - better than some others I've had. I've only gotten delivery and tried the paneer tikka and chicken tandoori. Both were amazing, but we loved the paneer tikka. Pizzas come with a yummy dipping sauce on the side. If you order delivery by calling them, they are very prompt! Once I got my pizza in 15 mins. I don't recommend using door dash to order, took much longer. Can't speak to the ambience or service at the restaurant. read more

For the main entrées, I had the shrimp scampi, my husband had the penne alla vodka, and my dad ordered spaghetti with garlic and oil with a side of broccoli. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The vodka sauce was creamy and tasted homemade. My daughter ordered a personal pan pepperoni pizza and loved it. The service was excellent--our server was really polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us often. I also love the atmosphere: when you walk in, it feels like a classic pizzeria, but once you head to the back, it transforms into a cozy fine-dining space. The lighting is perfect, and the music is just the right volume. The last time I visited was over four years ago, and I'm happy to say the food and drinks still taste just as good as I remembered. Classic Italian American with some New American flourishes, the place stays consistent and honors its tradition while simultaneously managing to keep things fresh and staying up with the times. The pizzas are well-executed and make great use of the gorgeous wood burning oven, but for me it's almost impossible to order anything else but my go-to order, one of the house specialties the classic Cavatelli with broccoli raab and some particularly pungent hot Italian sausage. A modern day classic in the cannon, finding decent versions around the city is tougher than one might imagine, particularly in my experiences in this borough. The version here, served like the rest of the offerings in an extremely generous portion that usually yields some delicious leftovers to take home, is a strong contender for the best in the borough title. Also of particular note is the exemplary super-thin and savory chicken parm, served in the previous era in various forms including with spaghetti and broccoli, as well as with risotto, currently served smothered with a spicy vodka sauce and paired with rigatoni. I've only recently became aquatinted with the rich and unctuous dry-aged burger, served simply and unadorned save for American and sharp raw union, on a classic and proper sesame seed bun, it's a stealth under-the radar competitor for the best burger in the hood nod with previous title-holder Dirty-Pierres. The expansive, two-room space, an ideal setting for the many private events and family gatherings that regularly occur here is aptly bright and inviting with the aforementioned pizza oven serving as its centerpiece. I generally sit at the bar which offers ample opportunity to converse with the top-notch staff, just as genial and affable as you would hope to find in such a longtime neighborhood institution, as well as the fellow patrons, who are, more often then not, you guessed it, longtime local resident regulars.

Anyway, fast forward 5 years and I finally had the chance with a few friends to experience what many called the best pizza in Queens, and I was very impressed. This became my regular "fancy" pizza shop of choice. What I loved most about it was the crispy and charred thin crust. It adds so much to the overall taste and enjoyment. The sauce was deliciously tangy and the fresh mozzarella made it a level above everything else in the neighborhood. One word of warning, the pizza could get a little soggy in the center if too many toppings are ordered. I usually choose none or no more than two. Also noteworthy is their yummy calzones. My personal favorite combination is sausage and spinach. Mixed with all that oozing ricotta and dipped in some tomato sauce, that is one great bite. Lastly, I like most of their salads too. Their food has been a staple in my diet for most of my adult life. Decades go by, and out of nowhere, I hear the news that Nick's had burned down. What a loss for our community! What a loss personally! Thankfully, they are back and feeling every bit like the original. Food is as good as before, while the decor and service has always been on point. Though not my favorite pizza in NYC, or even Queens, it does hold a spot in my rotation.
