New management? This was our group's Friday go to for years (like 30 years) and it is now completely awful now. Server was distracted, so when she screwed up the salad orders she never bothered to see if everything was ok--so this was never fixed. We ordered a butcher block pizza--one of our favorites, and it was, perhaps the most awful pizza I've had in years. The crust was way over cooked (It is usually very good), and I nearly broke a tooth on one of many bacon bits that had been burnt into rock hardness. It was like eating pizza with lots of rocks in it. Really awful. Server apologized, but was too lazy/stupid to tell whoever the manager was. Avoid this place. Not recommended. read more

Worst customer service ever and honestly, you pay more for the dinkiest amount of pizza you could get. First time ordering here, was excited to try, especially knowing I had a coupon. Was told I was not allowed to use certain coupons, but that was not made clear on the coupon/on my card that I had. Charging a dollar for one small little ounce of ranch silly. Don't you want people to come to your business and work with them with good customer service? Also add on the fact that they don't even deliver. Never returning. Ordered a pizza with light cheese and 1/2 pork sausage along with a side salad. It was a Sunday around 6:30 p.m. A couple of kids were working along with an older woman (manager?) The good: There was an ample amount of sausage on the 1/2 pizza. Bad: The pizza was way overcooked to the point where some of the cheese and the bottom of the crust was burned. There was barely any cheese or sauce. I ordered light cheese, not no cheese and did NOT order light sauce. It was basically a burned crust along with a few drops of sauce and barely any cheese. It should never have been served that way. Unfortunately, we got the order as a carryout and didn't notice it until we got home. I would never have accepted that pizza had I looked at the counter (my fault). Salad: The lettuce was wilted which ruined the dinner completely. The pizza and salad should never have been allowed to be served even to a carryout customer. The other Pizza Shoppe locations around town do not seem to have a quality control issue like the Shawnee location. read more

I am a food delivery driver on most nights but tonight it was for me. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salads with pink dressing. We were going to eat at the park so I asked for utensils. I got there at designated time and 2 females were upfront handing out orders. One waited on me and gave me my order in a hurry and dismissed me immediately. I said um, excuse me and she came back in a huff. I said are we for sure there are and she cut me off and said they are in the bag. I said okay but one time i ordered dress, she cut me off and said in the bag. My gosh! This is what i have to say to this location... If it was ALWAYS in the bag then we wouldn't have to make sure on your abilities. Next time please just check with the customer to make sure they feel like they are treated nicely. We pick up pizzas probably twice a month, and always get quick, friendly service. Pizzas are always ready when quoted. We usually can always find a buy a king, get a queen single free. The Original Roundtable, Hawaiian, and Butcher Block are among my favorites. But... You can never go wrong with a crispy pepperoni! Always lots of toppings, sometimes almost too many! A friend and I visited this location for the first time on a Saturday. We ordered the mini meal which is usually offered only for lunch on weekdays, however, the server said we could get it but there would be an upcharge of "a couple dollars". My friend wasn't even interested in a drink but got one since is part of the meal deal. When we got the bill, the drinks, salads and pizzas were priced individually rather than a meal deal. We brought the discrepancy to the attention of the manager and server. The server blatantly lied saying she didn't tell us that. She claimed to have told us it would be charged individually. The manager asked what we thought needed to be taken off. We paid the bill and left, but we will not return to this location at 22014 W 66th St, Shawnee, KS 66226 again as a result. Been a customer here for years, but may be ordering lunch from somewhere else from now on. Today, we ordered some carry-out pizzas and house salads for lunch. We asked, and we were assured that the salad dressing was inside the salad containers. When we got home, we found that there was no salad dressing in any of the salads. These salads are almost $5 each, and they are not very tasty with no salad dressing. Very disappointing, and thank goodness there are other pizza options available in Western Shawnee! read more

Out and about today. Totally forgot about this Pizza Shoppe location. My son works near by and loves this place. We decided to meet for lunch. Abby our server was so nice and friendly. We both ordered the lunch special. Drink , salad and personal pizza. ( we upgraded to the prince). The salad dressing is the best, I've been eating the "pink stuff" my entire Life. It is delicious. The pizza was delivered straight out of the oven. Be carful with that first bite. I ordered my go to , pepperoni and sausage. We went to this Pizza Shoppe for an early dinner recently. We sat down and noticed how filthy the place was. The floor was probably not swept since lunch as there were packages of crackers, both full and empty, napkins, and other assorted trash all over the floor. The employees had time to chat with each other but apparently could not be bothered to pick up a broom. There was only one other occupied table, so it wasn't a busy time. The pizza was fine but with so many other excellent choices in the area, going here was a mistake. It was a very unappetizing atmosphere. Good pizza, silly names. Pizza Shoppe started out local, and they still make good pizza. But I feel silly ordering a Prince with pineapple and onion, know what I mean? It's a small thing, I know. I must have had a childhood trauma that coincided with eating a rooty tooty fresh & fruity or something. Pizza Shoppe does the important things well. They have some great specialty pizzas, like the Chicken Sink. There are actually toppings on their pizza, and I never get home with the wrong order. They don't have high-tech online ordering; the location near me doesn't even deliver. There's something to be said for sticking with what you do well, and Pizza Shoppe is still the neighborhood pizza place with silly names but satisfying food. Let the kingdom rejoice! read more

You can't really go wrong with Pizza Shoppe. This was my first experience at this location, and it was a good one. This is one of the nicest Pizza Shoppe's I have had the acquaintance to meet. It's clean and open and has lots of sunlight. The service is good, the pizza is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. If you can make it on a Monday they have a special $7.49 for a queen size pizza and that's a wholelotta pizza. Wholelotta being one word instead of two insinuating the fact that it's a large amount of food for a low price. Check it out. read more

The pizza is always loaded with toppings....which is something I can't say for the one South on K-7. Great specials on Monday's and Tuesday's. They also run several lunch specials Monday through Friday that are good "to go" options. It's imperative that you call ahead, as with any pizza place if you want a quick in and out. Get a lunch special punch card. When you fill it up, they will buy you a lunch! Our favorite menu items include: majestic chicken pizza, round table (their version of a supreme), any of their pasta and salads. read more

Here's Some things they could improve: Speed of service, make sure you call ahead - especially if it's a busy day or time of day. Stopped in for lunch today and the place was slammed. Guess it was the first day of school and everyone in town was thinking pizza for lunch. We ordered twp pasta dishes, chicken alfredo and mac & cheese with bacon. Our order took forever but the waitress took good care of us. My complaint is when the food came out there was no cheese or cheese sauce on the mac and cheese. We asked the waitress to take it back so the kitchen could remedy it but the manager told her that's what it looks like and if he made another one it would look the same. I find it hard to believe that mac and cheese doesn't have and cheese or a visible cheese sauce. Evenif it had baked in to the point of being evaporated, i would think the manager would have offered to add a ladle of cheese sauce to at least make it appear to have cheese on it. I LOVE this little pizza place. I always come at lunch and get their lunch special that includes a salad, drink and mini one topping pizza. Its under $8.00 I believe. I have always been greeted and told to sit wherever promptly and the staff have all been so kind and welcoming each time. I can say that the service at the Shawnee location SUCKS on a consistent basis. They are very brash and shallow. This will be our pizza joint. We had to give up going to our old place "Old Shawnee Pizza" due to very poor customer service from staff and management on a very regular basis. The owner Jan was so nice. She brought over our pizza and wanted to make sure they made it right...since we had a unusual order. The only reason I give this a 4 star is because it's not the original! I stopped by this place on two separate occasions. The first time I was sat at the bar and only ordered a few beers. The young lady serving was very polite and I never had to wait for service. The 2nd time I sat in there and ate a small personal pizza. The food is great!!! Staff was again helpful and friendly. I have been eating at "Pizza Shoppe" restaurants since I was a toddler. I know what it should taste like and this restaurant has failed the name completely. The original location in Shawnee is now "Old Shawnee Pizza"and knows how to do it old-school, like it should be with a flaky crust and enough toppings to actually taste. This one was the equivalent of a frozen pizza with horrible, horrible crust. I added pictures as proof. If you want this (PS) pizza like it should taste ~ go to OSP on Nieman!! They don't have pink dressing,it's green, but it's the same taste. Don't waste your time at this location. I went because I was in the area and remember all too well now why I don't go.
