Horrible customer service. The guy in the front was very rude and loud and didnt get my order correct. Me and my friends felt embarrassed by his remarks and comments after we each order. Due to us being college students we decided to pay with our coby card and he seemed annoyed. My one friend paid cash and he gasped as if he was surprised. I'm not in Cobleskill often but when I am, the Shack is a must. This place is simple but the slices are anything but that. The crust is phenomenal, soft, chewy and flavorful. Very good food. I ate here everyday I was here working at the hospital. The owner welcomed me every night and the food was reliable to ready to please complete with chunky sauce. Tonight will be my last night, but i'll be sure to tell my coworkers about this place when they're back for follow up next month. I've been eating at Pizza Shack since I was a little kid sharing their calzones with my Gram. When I moved to Oklahoma six years ago, I was constantly complaining to anyone who would listen how much I missed Pizza Shack's food. Now coming back to the area, their food is still just as good and the people still just as amazing! Now I get to share calzones with my kids...and they love it as much as I always have. I was spending a night in Cobleskill and was craving some pizza. I found some other pizza places in the area but I am so glad I came here. I walked in to order, and the staff was super friendly. Got my pizza in about 10 minutes (Large 2 topping pie) and I was very pleased. The crust wasnt burned like a lot of places seem to do, and it was actually pretty good (I usually dont eat the crust, but theirs was too good not to). All in all if I find myself in the area again, I know where im going to get food. read more

The pizza is ok. I have had better in other areas around Upstate NY. So the guy went back and forth with me for 10 minutes kept checking with the "other guy" for the price as I had a older pamphlet , Overall the staff was rude and young did not think a manager or anyone was on the floor that day. I got sick of waiting with a ton of people in line and just wanted to order and just said whatever and ordered. Then on top of that the toppings cost 25 cents more now. It was a OK pizza nothing fancy something that any Italian pizzeria worth their salt would know how to make. I would give this place 2 stars for is the sauce its just bland. Papa Johns even hell Pizza hut had better sauce. I have eaten here before been a while ago. I would say this is average pizza above Pizza Hut in town and that's it. I think the owners changed a while ago so I don't know if that had a effect on quality. Just don't order a soda wanted near $3.00 for a glass cup. Went to Mcdonalds to get a drink instead. Overall I would go here only on the special days $10.99 Large as its the only pizza place in the cobleskill region that makes decent pizza. read more

This is a great place to stop for a slice. The crust is lovely crispy-crunchy, and all pizzas are made with good cheese. I stopped here on a Friday evening and the Pizza Shack was easily the busiest restaurant by far in Cobleskill. And for good reason too, since the prices are reasonable, the service was quick and the selection was wide-reaching, including pasta dinners, pizza and subs. I decided to order a couple of slices of pizza which I wanted to take on the go (I was in a bit of a hurry). I've patronized Pizza Shack for about 10 years now and I've never had a disappointing meal or service... and I'm positive if I ever did, they'd be sure to fix it. Everything from a quick chef salad to a full Veal parm dinner are delicious!! Great place for a quick lunch or date night. I also live just in delivery reach for over a year now. For a business in a college town that attracts a majority of their business from students, the owners and the workers are very rude and standoffish towards students. I have been coming here for years, but the recent treatment I have received from them has caused me to never again come to this pizza place. That, as well as the decline in the quality of their food. We were sightseeing near Cobleskill and decided to try the Pizza Shack after reading the reviews online. The pizza tasted great and was reasonably priced. The staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We got there for an early lunch and noticed it got busier and busier as lunch time progressed. It was busy but not crowded. read more
