Really mad!! My little brother wanted some pizza, ordered some food around 9:45pm, guess what? I never got the food, I called to ask and a very nervous guy answered and told me, that they never got my order, but I already paid with PayPal, he told me to call eat24, a rep told me they sent the order correctly and that they'll fix it, I call the restaurant back and they told the that "the fax machine broke", and that's why they didn't get my order, really? That sounded like a excuse more than anything, at 11:50pm the rep called me and told me sorry the order couldn't get to me why? My friends and I visited this place after a friend recommended this location. So glad that we came, the place was very chill and the pizza was ready in 20 minutes, which I thought was super fast compared to other pizza locations. We dined in on a Saturday night and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The only negative thing I could say is that all the tables were dirty when we came in. Giving this place a 3 only because when I walked in the person at the front was on his phone and didn't even acknowledge that we were there. A gentleman from the back came and took our order after he realized that the other guy was giving us no attention. The person who initially took our order provided us with good service. Pizza Sam makes a good pizza and garlic knots. The price is about average. It's not my fave pizza joint, so I can't give it 4 stars. I find the crust to be too thick and heavy. But it's a good pie if you ur in the mood for pizza and it's better than Dominoes etc. Staff has always been friendly. We definitely order from here from time to time. read more

In Jackson Heights, this is the only pizza place I'd eat at and order from. I've ordered from Due Fratelli and to Gino's, and they both do not compare to the flavor of Sam's. Just had the most rudest customer service interaction placing a take-out order by phone with pizza sam. I have been ordering here since moving to the neighborhood two years ago mainly for dinner time pasta entrees. Asked Sam to add something to a sandwich ( i have always paid for my add-ons without issue- by the friendly staff that works the front) and was told they don't do that and I said if its an issue I'd do something else, was told then don't order and was hung up on. This place as it is doesn't have much variety for people to order meals, basically your basic pizzeria,. He speaks as if he enjoys and knows food, but apparently as per my interaction he does not.. They have been here for a while and you would think is a friendly establishment. My guess is that Sam has a chip on his shoulder, I have seen him interact brashly and aggressively with others in the store. When you run out of options to eat around here you consider his very oily pizza with hard cheese once in while and should expect heart burn. And like someone below have had the pizza served so luke warm you appreciate the poor quality old cheese. The grandma slices they are trying to do something different with, but not what you expect when thinking of a traditional grandma slice , they don't have that or margarita slices. Bottom line, they can't do much here and are proud of it.. In response to Sam. You are clearly lying for the review.. I asked for the eggplant you use in eggplant parm which specifically told me you had. You specifically told me " do not order then" when i said if you cant do it i dont have to order that and you hung up. You made all your counterarguments but failed to mention you were clearly rude. I get the pizza here. Pizza is good. I am impressed. however a few times they be giving me left over pizza and you can tell, it does not taste well. When its good, which is most of time, it is good! The guys behind the counter are so ghetto but they do a great laid back job. Other food are pretty good from what I have seen and tasted. And they serve it to you on a hardware plate, which is more impressive. Time of making those other food might be... er , long. As far as delivery, don't even bother. Not disappointed, more so comical at their speed. Its ridiculously slow. I rather walk down the block and do it myself. But I like the place, a lot of locals from the area always come by here. the regular pizza is decent -- it is freshly made but the sauce is a bland, the dough needs a little more salt and a better quality mozzarella would greatly improve quality of the pizza. anyway it is edible. the pan pizza is really disappointing -- tastes like something you would get at a movie theater concession stand -- it takes like is was microwaved. i go there for the Greek Salad & the Mussels Marinara the heroes are good too -- but the last time i ordered a regular pasta dish I was very disappointed -- it was really gross -- over cooked noodles swimming in sauce. i think the place is under new management so maybe it is better now. i grew up on pizza sam and i used to love their food. i wish them well and I hope they make a comeback. read more

Recently I was really craving a pizza with meatballs topping because I bought it a few times in the past at Pizza Sam's and it was good. But this time the pizza was horrible. I'm not sure if they changed people who work there or are just getting cheap with the toppings. The large meatball pizza increased from $15.14 to $16.69. And let's just say the meatball topping was sliced so thin it looked like pepperonis on the pizza. Before I was used to chunks or large slices of meatballs. The pizza unfortunately was overcooked too so the crust was too chewy and just a terrible disappointment since I haven't bought it in awhile. I guess now since the prices increased and the poor quality of the food tonight; I think I'll stay away for awhile. Maybe I'll give it a shot in the future but I'll just buy a slice to see if it was just one bad night. I'm sorry to leave this review guys because I did like your pizza in the past but you need to step your game up especially if you increased the prices. This pizza shop has been around for a long time and the quality has never diminished. The pizza recipe has stayed in good hands that has been passed down from generation to generation. When the pizza comes out of the oven nice warm the cheese melts right into your mouth. The pizza slices have a great blend of tomato sauce and cheese and to top it all off the crust is the right amount of thick. It's not to thick and not to thin. In essence Pizza Sam has been a staple in the community and if your around the neighborhood I definitely recommended it! Also don't forget to try the sicilian slices there just as good as a regular slice. This is Jackson Heights best little kept secret. read more

My go-to place for pizza in the area. They make pizza, only large pies (at least for delivery), and they do it well. Their Sicilian is great, and I have never had a disappointing pie from here. The sauce is tomatoey, not too sweet, and they are not stingy with the toppings. The pasta is good, and their meatballs are killer. read more

Pizza Sam is a classic NYC pizzeria. It is family run and reminded me of when I was a kid. The pizza is good. It is real pizza. The owner is second generation and he takes pride in what he serves the customers and it shows. Not a fancy place by any means but friendly and the prices are very fair. I am always on the road doing emergency service so I have stopped into my share of pizzerias and restaurants and yes many of them were very good, but at Pizza Sam I found that home made Italian flavor that you don't find so easy in places. Their pizza slices are huge, their pasta is cooked just right and their baked stuffed clams are just right. I ate their chicken combo sandwich which is packed with great taste. It has Romain lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and sweet peppers, and let may say it is tastefully delicious.
