We had frequented RR several years ago and always had friendly, attentive service and the food was fantastic. However, the quality of both has severely dropped off. I ordered the wet burrito and was served something that looked like a burrito, but filled with grisly chicken pieces, no flavor and lacking any sour cream or salsa. The young lady who was our server was woefully inexperienced and clearly out of her depth in waitressing. Needless to say, we won't be going back. Food was "blah" and very overpriced. Frankly, the Pizza Sam in Alma is not what it used to be the father and son team are just astounding in their lack of customer service. My pizzas were sub par and the lady next to me had a poor rendition of what used to be very good pizza but when she raised the point with the owner (Father) he just said to her "I don't care" and just turned his back and walked away! Hearing this with my own ears and seeing the way in which he treated his staff on many occasions my family and I will not be returning. Now I may not break the bank and my not ordering any more pizza there may not hurt the biz but the $102 bill I had for the family after several of these levels of purchases start walking out the door then maybe just maybe they may treat people a little better. I think NOT however. I don't know how the other place is they have but stay away from this one the only problem is he is pretty much the only game in town and there in lay the problem doesn't it. This review was in the back of my mind since the time I went there and experienced this now hearing from my neighbor having a bad time of it as well prompted me to write this review. Pizza was excellent, service was outstanding. But, the misogynistic, sexist, male employees led by the overbearing loudmouth, chauvinist owner have given us a reason to stop making the trip from Saginaw for pizza and look elsewhere. I hear there are some good pizza joints in Bay City and I'm sure the owners/managers there won't berate their employees in front of a dining room full of guests. If you live in Alma or have a daughter going to school there, do not let her work at Pizza Sam's. There can't be any other places in Alma where women would have less respect. read more

This is the absolute worst place to eat if you value things like human decency and the rights of employees and the disabled. Their turn over rate is high for good reason. They've been in hot water for assaulting a person w a disability but still continue to bully, berate, and verbally and emotionally abuse some of their employees. Somehow they keep getting away with it. read more

Besides always being 10 minutes from the time you order to the time you pick it up, it is not the best pizza by a long shot. Outdated interior and less than warm hospitality leave much to be desired when eating in. It's local history and tradition is what keeps Pizza Sam's alive. read more
