Amazing pizza and even better breadsticks!! Used to get it all the time when I went to school at Alma.

Best place to eat and work in Alma!! Gotta have a Detroit style with Cajun crust! So good! Local institution!

Small, downtown gem! Try the hurricane for a spicy little taste of heaven on earth. Italy, take notes. For great pizza, look no further.

Our group waited over 90 minutes to be fed. Staff complained that they were "swamped" - though the restaurant wasn't full. Not capable staff

Came here with a very unadventurous crowd for lunch and was not disappointed. We got seated quickly…read moreand our server, Shayanna, was on point. The complementary wine when we were seated was also a nice touch. Not sure if it was a lambrusco but it was very sweet like a more sophisticated grape juice with a slightly carbonated taste; definitely a crowd pleaser, even for those that don't like wine. The Lunch Duos with unlimited bread sticks and choice of unlimited salad or soup was a pretty good deal for the food, though I have to say you're paying more for the soup /salad than the actual entrée. Grilled Vegetable & Cheese Piadina - essentially a American Italian inspired quesadilla. Pretty tasty but also pretty small. Hubby had to supplement it with 3 bowls of soup to feel satisfied. Would get again. Zoodles Primavera - Definitely a dish that is trying to hard to be healthy. Was expecting something light and refreshing with all the veggies but the excessive amount of oil and seasoning kind of killed it. Would not get again.

It was COVERED IN THE SAUCE and im the type of person to mix things and look at what I eat and I'm glad I did. I ordered the seafood scallop pasta and there was a COMPLETELY RAW SCALLOP in my bowl mixed in with everything. We reported to the manager, which was the same exact MANAGER WITH PINK HAIR on both occasions of raw food. I'm not blaming the manager specifically but something is not being watched properly or supervised properly. WOULD NOT GO HERE CHECK YOUR FOOD IF ITS FULLY COOKED.

Well it is a "real pizzaria" and with that said it was......well good?!?…read moreThe service was spot on for a take out place. They were friendly and joking around. Good group. The place almost feels like Sam's place.......just almost. Miss the seating, miss Sam. The crust was good, topping were a good amount and tasty enough. BUT not sure what has changed, Pizza Sams Pizza is not the same. It just tastes different, not bad, but also not a craveable pizza as for decades in the past. I remeber going to this place with my Grandpa, ofcourse he and the owner lnew each other. The food was great. Not too many years ago I would attend meetings with the owner. Often he supplied pizza and it was never a dissapointment. Glad to see it is still here and open, BUT once again it does not taste like a Sam's pizza. It reminds me of the not-so-good Pizza Sam's in Midland.

My husband had been raving about Pizza Sam as his go-to pizza during his years at Alma almost 25…read moreyears ago. Finally after 20 years of him raving about it, I got to stop in to try. I entered the pizza place and the front staff didn't bother to greet. That was okay. Maybe they were all busy? The next customer walked in and was happily greeted and the next. I told my husband quietly that this happened when he entered later. Then as people left they were happily thanked especially by the red capped gentlemen making the pies. When we got our pizza, tbis gentlemen didn't bother to look up but of course we overheard the next person leaving behind us being told to enjoy their pizza. Sometimes I wish discrimination was not so blatant in your face. Oh well. At least the pizza was decent. Oh. If it wasn't obvious, I was not your average white customer.
