Visited for lunch on a very hot Saturday afternoon. The dining room was about empty. We were seated in a small cozy section off the side of the restaurant. It was comfortable and thankfully nice and cool. The server was very sweet. She gave us great suggestions and was quick. I wanted seafood and it was hard to choose from the extensive menu choices. The offerings were a very good value for the portion sizes. Our meals came out fresh and as expected. It's not the greatest seafood ever, however, it was good and affordable, with great service. This Red Lobster is a nice lunch spot in a populated shopping area. I would visit again if in the area. read more

I arranged to have a large birthday party at this location and staff was incredibly helpful in making the party a success. Managers Jason and Chris were great in making the arrangements. We had two servers both named Kaitlyn(sp?), both were very sweet and paid incredible attention to detail. The food was great, a little better than typical for a Red Lobster. Ordered on line, order was ready on time and without any errors in what I ordered. Everything was hot and tasted great.

The lack of caring by the staff is truly astounding. Front desk "greeter", Jerry, quoted a 20 to 25 minute wait. He proceeded to seat many guests arriving after us first. After 50 minutes waiting we got on the wait list of a nearby steak restaurant. They were ready to seat us in five minutes while Red Lobster staff still were acting like we weren't even there, so we bailed. While we waited, we watched the slow service all around. If they are understaffed, they should at least be up front that there are issues and keep the waiting customers aware of their standing and progress. I understand being understaffed to some point but when more than half the seats are empty and no one keeps waiting guests informed or shows any sign of caring, it is a real turnoff! Where we went instead was fully packed and yet served us well. At no point from the moment we walked in was anyone here even remotely greeting or friendly. The experience was so bad I felt utterly compelled to give a review. This experience will be long remembered and guide me to go elsewhere. read more

If I could give it a negative I would. $89 for 2 and the worst food I've ever had in my life. The lobster bisque was cold and bland. It tasted more like canned soup. The stuffed mushrooms were mushy, runny and tiny. The "lobster tails" were tasteless and dry. They tasted like they had freezer burn. The rice and shrimp scampi were both cold. The only thing edible was the biscuits. The service was mediocre at best. I vomited in the parking lot. You'd be better off at McDonald's getting a fish sandwich. Awful! read more

My Nana and I came here for lunch today. Our server, Bethany, was super attentive and sweet the whole time. Food was good and the experience overall was fine. Towards the end of our meal my Nana had an 'accident' which is terrible and I understand a HUGE inconvenience for staff, but she is a very old woman and can't help it. As soon as it happened I started to take care of her and inform the staff. The hostess, I didn't catch her name, was yelling loudly to other staff in the kitchen rude comments like: "Ewww it smells like shit! Someone is BLOWING up the women's handicapped right now. I'm not cleaning up shit!" when I spoke to this hostess to find our server to pay our bill and tell her about the situation she was unhelpful and very rude. This young lady would not act that way if it was her grandmother and my Nana was embarrassed enough before hearing this girls comments. I'm very upset with our treatment during this situation. The worst fish and chips ever and only one piece of fish for 14 bucks, both my husband and I ordered it mine was dry, his was like rubber. Service was very slow had to repeatedly ask for stuff that is when we were lucky enough for her to stop at the table. The only reason giving this a one star was the Diet Coke and Ice Tea. This Red Lobster is one of the smaller ones in existence. Until they remodeled a few years ago it was one of the only ones to not have a live lobster tank. Service is good (except for one that I won't call out by name), and the food is most usually very well prepared. During the school season CMU brats and their visiting families can make this place unbearably busy on the weekends, and wait times get pretty ridiculous. You'd think that they weren't aware that there are other restaurants in town. RL constantly revamps the menu so there's often new stuff to try. Some of my faves are the Coconut Shrimp, Crab legs, Crab Alfredo, and Walt's Favorite fried Shrimp. At lunch I dig the Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl with a Shrimp covered Caesar salad. And, of course, the ever-present and endlessly-streaming Cheddar Bay Biscuits. read more

I went here for Valentine's Day because everyone was saying this place was so good. It was not. If you like bland, overpriced food this is your place. I got salmon, rice, and mashed potatoes, the salmon tasted like water the rice had absolutely no flavor at all the mashed potatoes were about the only decent thing I got. I had to drown everything in salt and pepper to make it edible. I was expecting a lot more from a place who's prices are so high. Disappointed and will not be coming back. read more

I had the Crab Linguine Alfredo and there were little hard bits in it? I'm not totally sure what that was all about but I'm assuming it's something from the crab. It would have been a five star experience if the manager hadn't yelled at Bailey in clear sight of my family and other guests. I found it to be very unprofessional and demeaning. First time here. Maria had the scrimp scampi and she said it was very good. She really enjoys the biscuits. I had a feast plate with scrimp, scallops, clams & flounder. It was very good. On the negative side: the fries were blah and the small cups they put the condiments in. Waitress was nice and the service was fast. Good food, not great but good, still think the Flint Red Lobster is the best‼ That being said the lobster was tasty, asparagus was flavorful, the steak was tender but kind of bland. Had a giant pina colada that was way too big BUT of course I drank it all. If u have a choice between Lansing RL and this one choose Mount Pleasant!!! Red Lobster is the best place for seafood and have great steaks. I work there and can say it's the cleanest restaurant I've ever worked at.

Great service usually I love the salmon choices and my hubby loves the coconut shrimp.

I love that they have a light menu to order from and list calories on the menu. I ordered the garlic shrimp with rice and broccoli. My SO had the lobster tail. Both were very good. The broccoli was not overcooked like at some places. The service was excellent. We were very pleased. read more

I definitely have ate at better Red Lobsters than this one. I ordered the grilled salmon with green beans and baked potato. The salmon came out burnt on the bottom and over cooked. The green beans did not have the ends snipped off at all. They were limp and very soggy. I did not try one green bean because they looked so unappealing. I think that I got the smallest baked potato in the whole restaurant. My BF ordered the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo and it was okay. The noodles were a bit cold and stiff. The only good thing to rave about were the cheddar bay biscuits. It will be a long time before we ever go back to this location. read more

Very overpriced. Had fish and chips and got one piece of cod. The cod was chewy and not flaky at all. Husband had fried shrimp and got sick immediately after leaving the restaurant. I have always enjoyed Red Lobster but was disappointed today. I ordered from the lobster fest menu. The noodles were soggy and the lobster tail meat was tough. Always the staff is friendly. The food has always been good here. Service is good, with servers checking in on you regularly. The manager often comes by to check as well. Nine times out of ten I really like the crab legs. Occasionally, however, the crab legs have been overcooked. Disappointing since it's one of the costlier things on the menu. Our local Red Lobster has obviously picked up the banner of good customer service and run with it. Staff are attentive, manager checks in to make sure all is well, any problems are addressed immediately and customers generally leave full and happy. (Just check their parking lot - constantly busy during meal hours.) Best deal: go during one of the promotional specials, like the 5-course meal deal, where you receive soup, salad, entree/main, those lovely Cheddar Bay Biscuits and a dessert for something like $15-$20. Incredible deal and you will probably end up taking your dessert or part of your meal home in a takeout box. read more

Worse experience I had ever had at a restaurant. First we had a forty five minutes wait. When my party started to order we was told that " I am sorry but we are all out of that ". After the painful time it took to order the waiter came back twenty minutes later to tell use that they just ran out of broccoli. So when the waiter asked everyone what they would like in exchange that was tough because they didn't have anything. I ended up get fries and smashed potatoes, really two potatoes, what a terrible idea. Our waiters was awesome. Yes I said waiters when had two which I think it was because they didn't lake to have to tell our group that they didn't have any food. Manager finally came over and explained that the reason they didn't have much is because of the weather. So your telling me that no one looks at that and the semi trucks can't deliver in the cold. I finally went to the lobster feast. Price for two with tip and two beers 77.95. The meal was very good. The tails were rock lobster. The pasta with lobster and shrimp fantastic. Caesar salad and loaded potato great. It is worth a one time feast and save for one next year. read more
