Disappointed in my last meal there. I have two kids attending CMU so we have come to this location quite often over the past four years. Food is usually consistently good. This last time I received a sandwich with a large portion of the meat obviously thick layers of fat. Very disgusting and not what I expected to pay for. And there was NO mistaking it for cheese. I did not say anything as I'm not someone that would ever return food, maybe it's a generational thing. Regardless it was disgusting. So probably won't go back for a while. read more

First ever visit to Firehouse Subs. The sub was quite tasty. Due to the pandemic side items were limited and I was forced to eat on the sidewalk out front. While the sub was good the cost was more than I personally would like to have paid. I would eat it again but choice would be weighed by value, too. read more

Just returned from Firehouse Subs in Morristown, which we've visited many times. We have always had good service and loved the subs. This evening we waited approx. 30 minutes and that's fine if we had received edible food. We received our food, and my grandson opened his and said there's no meat on half my sub. I took the sub back and showed them and the young boy who made the sub told me he was going to make another in place of that sub. I went to table and opened my own sub which was a steak/cheese medium. My sub was cut like my grandson's way off center with the bread on the bottom lying upward on the carton and all the meat lying on the bottom with no bread underneath. The sub was a mess, it was not hot, and the cheese was cold and barely visible. The whole thing was a mess like it had been thrown in the container. I took it up and ask who in the world is making these subs? We're paying customers not dogs. I picked at mine and my grandson ate his half and waited since he'd been promised another sub. I went to the counter and ask about it after we had all finished, but the boy said they were covered up. We were about to leave when a lady said, "I have your sub" I began by telling her how horrible the subs had been thrown in the box like a box of scraps. She appeared mad, and she was very rude. I ask to see the manager and she said that's me. I tried to explain the mess the food was in when it was given to us. She threw the sub down where she stood, without handing it to my grandson. I ask her name and she said Autumn. She then said "you can leave now" I told her we would never be back and left. read more

Average Subs, filthy bathrooms, more expensive than Jimmy Johns. Firehouse seems like a franchise place but with no oversight. Typical college kids running the place, they were nice, but didn't seem like they knew much. Not very fast, and the dinning room furniture could have easily been aquired at Big Lots. It did have a Coke Freestyle machine. The bathroom conditions will ensure that I don't return. "Wet" floors around the toilet, no soap or paper towel. Even the mirror was dirty. No surprise it was empty when every place else was packed. read more

First time eating at firehouse and I was sorely disappointed. My sub was not warm and there was a plethora of mushrooms when I asked for them off. Furthermore my sub was missing some of the toppings I requested but maybe Victoria, the cashier was partially deaf and this is the reason for my inedible sandwich. read more

I could be unlucky, but both times I've been to this Firehouse Sub's location, I had a bad experience. Ordered to go both times. First time, my girlfriend ended up with lettuce and tomato on her sub when she specifically said she didn't want that. That was a while back - still decent, but it's not hard to just make the right sub... So I go back today. With a softball tournament in town, they were busy, but I waited over 25 MINUTES for a simple sub - oh, and my sub was wrong! What a shocker! It comes with mushrooms and I asked for it loaded and I get a sub with a few slices of meat and some mayo on it - THAT WAS IT - for almost $7. It's sad. The place had potential and I'd imagine if they actually made my sub correct, I'd probably enjoy it. The biggest downfall for this place is not being able to see them making the sub - I can't point out the 10 things they forget to put on! read more

Great fresh family-friendly sandwiches and the 120+ Coke dispenser is a hit with kids. TVs to watch sports. Clean, friendly, inviting. Open until 3 am on the weekends! Of all the places our kids wanted to go for "linner" after visiting CMU, this was their choice. Yum! read more

The subs here are hot and delicious but just a little bit pricey. Almost $9 for a regular size sub. There is only one soda machine but it's a computerized one with a touch screen. There are over 120 soda flavor options. So, it can take a few minutes deciding what product you want and what flavor to add to it. There was a little line at the soda machine but by the time you got your drink, your sub was ready. They bring the sub to you. It was very busy when we went on a Saturday afternoon so it took about 15 minutes to get our subs. They have free plastic fireman hats for the kids to take, even teenagers were wearing them! lol I will be eating here again because their pricey subs are definitely a change from the boring subs at Subway. read more

My favorite place in town for a big lunch salad. The subs are warm and good too but the salad is fresh, and large.

Based on my sole experience, I'm not sure if I like this place, yet. I ordered an Italian sub because, as far as I'm concerned, that's the only sub that exists. Their take has a few distinct elements that seem to work against it. First, the roll is just WAY to soft. I got mine to go and after a 12 minute drive it was just plain flaccid and mushy. Second, they must be using a honey ham because it was SWEET! Way too sweet. An Italian sub should be slightly spicy and "hammy" (Capicola is best), not sweet. Third, the dressing definitely had horseradish in it. This ain't a roast beef, y'all. Was it horrible? No, I ate the whole thing. BUT, when you order an Italian sub, you have a certain set of expectations and this failed to meet them. I will give them credit for having a very generous selection of hot sauces on the counter and especially for providing little cups and lids to take some to go. I love me some hot sauce. And the bang for the buck wasn't awful, either. I'd try them again, but just not for that bizarro world attempt at an Italian sub. read more

Best sub I've ever had. I'll probably end up craving these things. I thought they were priced well as the size of their regular is close to the size of a subway foot long. I'm willing to pay more for quality anyway. I also had one of their brownies which was also large, chewy & delicious. Staff was very helpful & pleasant. The only negative was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The store is new so it's still really nice but there was a lot of dirt, crumbs, spills that if not kept up on, will be really bad in another 6 months. There were only 2 customers in the restaurant so they weren't too busy to clean up. read more
