The establishment is in a strip business setup. They do have two doors but one says use other door so look for the sign. When you get inside the decor is beautiful, bright and clean. I appreciate that. We were greeted with a big smile and seated promptly in the bar area (our request). My husband asked for the Margarita with a beer as a kicker, I had the ultimate Margarita 47 Oz. These are incredible and hit the spot Everytime. My husband enjoys the quesadilla El rancho. I had the corn steak tacos with cilantro and onion meal that comes with beans and rice. When seated they bring a complimentary basket of chips and salsa. There is a charge if you want extra chips and salsa. The bathrooms are clean and well tended. The facility is well lit, smelled good and comfortable. Great place for groups. Staff super friendly. English was good but mostly Spanish speaking. No issues with communication, food or drinks so it's all good. Bill was around $70.00

This time I had the fajitas pina and it was a literal TON of food that I could barely eat. Chorizo, steak and chicken with grilled pineapple and a lot of green peppers - try good. I'll be back next year.

So I will set that aside and chat about the overall experience of the restaurant and food. We went on a Friday night around 6pm and the venue was about 90% full. The outside seating was preferred, but every table was occupied. That's a nice option to sit outside nest to the river for a meal and drink. Inside had TVs and music. Small bar with a decent amount of seating. Nice feel to the restaurant. We ended up in the rear of the restaurnt which wasn't the best as the rest room was right around the corner. So heavy traffic to/from the rest room. Sigh... To the food: We orded a basic ground beef burrio and a chimichangas plate. Plus guacamole as an apetizer. The guac was over whipped/prepared. It was like a puree. Not good. Soupy. Overall taste wasn't good either. I should have returned it to the kitchen looking back at the experience. It's one of those moments where you're hungy and you just eat something, but you shouldn't. Send it back. No excuses. The burrio and chimi were average. Just blah. Barely average. My hopes were pretty high for this joint, but we came away unimpressed. If Yelp allowed half stars, my review would be a 2.5 star, but I'll be gracious and go with a 3 stars due to the venue feel and outside sitting. I did see some staff hustling, so let's give credit there. Our server didn't pass muster, but we noticed others were busting tail. If in Lowell or surrounding areas, I might look for other options for my mexicna dinner. If you're looking for a drink, maybe this spot is good enough to sit outside or maybe at the bar.

Ordered happy hour beer and margaritas while waiting for the meal. Neatly packaged and easy to carry-out. Upon entering you can quickly see the furnishing have been there a while so they are definitely dated. Lots of locals out for dinner. A real homey place. Server was fairly prompt and courteous. I ordered their restaurant named dish which came out in a timely manner. The issue was when I dug into the food. I'm normally pretty easy to make happy with food but this dinner stands out. The refried beans were plain and one step thicker than soup. The rice, the rice I can't put my finger on it but like the beans I refused to eat more than two forks worth. OK, the burrito will be good. Well, guess what, the meat (burger) tasted like there was no seasoning at all. OK, the chips were good and the dipping salsa was passable. Would I go back? No way. The staff was friendly and no pressure or hassle ordering or delivering the food but the food was just plain bad.
