Before we could even process that, an older man walked out to the patio, stopped less than six feet from us, and threw up. Twice. Right at the entrance and directly upwind of our table. We were gagging. The waiter came out and asked how we were doing. We said, "Not great," and he shrugged it off with, "Yeah, that's the second time this week -- but it's not our food." Meanwhile, the only way out was through the puddle of vomit. Then another staff member came out and dumped bleach on it, so now we were stuck smelling bleach on top of everything else. And after all that, they didn't comp a single thing. Gatsby's used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but after this experience, we won't be back.
