another grueling work week, lots of rain, the world in shambles and no will to deal with dinner…read more the only thing i was fixated on was finding some take out pizza so i could come home and have a quiet evening controlling the only thing in my orbit that i can: life in the four walls of my own house. i've tried almost all pizza places in west seattle and some i love but i really wanted a good thin crust and did not have the energy to go up to capitol hill and fight parking challenges. so i decided to try the well reviewed closer option. a couple of observations coming from west seattle: take the lower bridge because if you take the exit off the west seattle high bridge you cannot turn right onto 1at ave s. the parking lot serves multiple businesses and given the fact it was a friday afternoon, all spaces were taken so i had to park on the street and walk in. there were a lot of occupied tables and it appears two sections, one darker and more bar-like, the other more dining room and kid friendly. my pizza was ready for pick up as soon as i walked to the counter (i had ordered online and set my desired time of pick up.) you can also opt to get text message updates which was nice. there's two size options--14" and 18". the pizza itself looked great and tasted fine but it's obviously cooked in a pizza oven and not with wood fire so there's no char on the crust or wood smoke aroma. that said, it was fine! service was adequate, place looked clean, menu options were varied and it literally took me less than 12 minutes to go and come back so in terms of the hassle i avoided with parking in west seattle near highly rated pizza places, that was this girl's win heading into the weekend!

This is not too far from the Starbucks headquarters and both Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park in the SoDo/Industrial District area, so I can imagine this place getting a ton of foot traffic! This place doesn't open on weekends though, so it's best suited for those who work near the area. Speaking of that, there were a ton of people waiting outside for their orders, and several others taking the limited dine-in seats at a counter facing the kitchen inside. There's a whole row of chair seating just behind said counter where a ton of event papers line the walls. At the front counter are the varieties of pizza, both New York and grandma/Detroit style kinds. Here, you ask for the pizza(s) you want, pay at the front, wait for your slices to be cooked, get them in a takeout box, add any condiments from the front counter, and then either leave the premises or sit down to dine in. Both my coworker and I grabbed a slice of their grandma-style meat lovers pizza and another slice of Detroit-style Hawaiian pizza. While driving back to our workplace, both pizzas remained relatively warm. - The Hawaiian slice is pretty simple; the ham slices are pretty big and sit atop the cheese, and there's an okay amount of pineapple pieces on top. The thin crust is a little crunchy and crispy, and pizza itself held itself together despite me holding it at odd angles so I didn't have to use my other hand to eat too early! For this being Hawaiian, this wasn't too greasy, and both the cheese and tomato sauce had a nice balance of savory between them. - The grandma-style meat lovers pizza has both pepperoni and Italian sausage on top of it, almost covering the whole top. I could've sworn that the cheese was also inside the bread itself, because I was pretty full after downing this one! The edges of this slice were also crispy, which I loved biting on. This slice also isn't overly greasy, and pepperoni usually makes everything so greasy to the point where you see that excess orange oil sitting on top of the cheese. This slice didn't have any of that, and the ratio of cheese to tomato sauce was also perfect! This was a very yummy and also heavy lunch. There are restrooms for customers. They have dine in and take away and you can order through door dash. If I was a local, Id be eating here all the time. The pizzas have a little bit of flop and some crisp to the pie. I liked the meat lovers, and the Seattle dog with pickles and hot dog pieces was interesting. They also have this giant chocolate chip cookie for dessert, that is served like a pizza in slices. We got the following: - Queen's Special: large pizza with sausage, onions, olives, mushrooms, green peppers and pepperoni in their original red base. Pretty much everything you would want in a pizza if you wanted to have a little bit of everything. Not too greasy, and meats are fresh altogether. - Spicoli: basically a large pepperoni pizza with pineapple and jalapeños all in a bed of mozzarella.
